In BoM Khriss says that there is one Misting in 1000 people. That's 0,1%, not 16%. And Ferrings are even rarer. Where is that 16% confusion coming from? Mistsnappings?

Actually it's because when muscles are under heavy strain, the little fibers break. Literally. That's why we feel pain. Muscles then repair the fibers and that's how muscles grow.

I don't think it's known/it's widely known that aluminum interferes with healing. And of course aluminium is hard to get enough of it to make bullets - remember, it's more valuable than gold. Only Vanishers/Set had enough resources to make aluminium ammunition and they still had to obtain it in robberies. Even Coinshot Killer Squads used primarily bows and crossbows made of wood with stone arrowheads. Or regular guns if somebody trusted his speed of draw against Coinshot (as Wax remarks in SoS prologue). No aluminium there, and if you're not using aluminium to fight Coinshots, then what are the chances that somebody has ever shot Bloodmaker with aluminium bullet?

Yeah, I always managed to get everything done on the last possible moment in highschool. But I also went like that through the first semester at uni, cause everything was quite simple for me, the train collision took place at the second semester. I'm quite the opposite - I always liked math and mathematical courses were almost a pleasure for me. Programming I'm failing. I don't think my parents will be angry, it's just... how to put it... I feel that they will be disappointed. But not in the bad way like "you disappointed us"; more like they honestly believe I could do better but I still failed. Here, there is no such thing as "choosing the courses". Everyone who is studying IT (at my university at my department) has the same courses as I do, we don't get to choose what we want (until specialization kicks in at 5th semester or something around that). I can't lower my load, cause I have no choice.

This is gonna be one of the most hellish few days in my life. I'm already sleep deprived, I got a project due on Monday, my and my friend barely started today, I thought he knew what we're doing only to turn out that between us two I'm the more knowledgeable... and I have no idea what's that all about. But I think we can pull this off. The thing is, the student carnival is starting on Thursday... I don't care, I didn't plan to go anyway but it's because there is a Con on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I really wanted to go (and I have the ticket bought already, but it was cheap)... maybe if we rush enough I could make it? Oh, and I realized that I'm failing most of the courses this semester. I'm not sure about lectures, I think I could still pass some of them, but I'll fail the majority of the courses anyway. My plan is to take year off, retake all the failed courses (in winter semester I could even work somewhere as I will have 4 hours of courses weekly)... I can even pay for them, the money I made this summer is sufficient and I'll still be on plus. No problem here. (My parents would surely help me... but I think I should insist on paying for all of it. These are my mistakes. I have to feel the consequences, if that doesn't shake me up, I don't know what would.) But my parents know nothing about that. The suspense is growing as the end of the semester approaches. They probably think I'm doing fine. I am not. I can already see the dung and the fan waiting. Also, I failed the course I'm retaking because I was too focused on the rest. This one should've been easy now, but I failed too many deadlines. Curses. Why all those people can just concentrate and study and do their work and I'm always postponing things until too late? I'm well aware of that and I still do it. Even when I try to force myself to do things earlier, I can't. It's like I don't have motivation until some deadline is close, but by the time it is close it is usually too late. What is wrong with me :|

I recall that in Eshonai's Interlude somebody said that the Listeners have made a great sacrifice to escape from thei gods. That probably is the source of parshmen, formless Listeners. This in turn indicates that back then all Listeners had Forms - compare to the modern day when almost all Listeners are without a spren, what probably lets in voidspren more easily.

Hm... Right now most of cosmere is in the epic fantasy medieval stage so it seems appropriate that we post the orchestral epic kind of stuff like Two Steps From Hell. But how about music conveying that XIX/XX century wild west steampunky feel of Second Scadrial Era? I personally can't wait for cyberpunk of Fourth Era to post the awesome dubchestral music. So, what would be Scadrian songs from the Final Empire? What music would Elantrians compose? The easiest one is Nalthis, as we got a fair share of spotlight on art. Since Heightenings increase the ability to tell hues, the paintings could be in one color (as the Manywar painting). There is also Perfect Pitch...I think choirs would be pretty probable, with very complex harmonies and polyphonies.

Is there a functional difference between steel savant and speed savant? I mean, savantism is widening the cracks in the soul in the region coresponding to the metal you burn which allow to flow Investiture in. So when the power flows in because you're burning steel, there wouldn't be any difference to your soul up until the moment when Investiture gets through Feruchemical filter, which results in huge burst of Feruchemical speed. I believe there was a WoB that it's much harder to become Feruchemical savant because Feruchemy is about internal power flow, so there is no damage to your spiritweb . It's because Allomancy has upper power limit while Feruchemy hasn't - in Allomancy, if you push the limit long enough, it moves further - you become what we call a savant. But in Feruchemy you can draw absolutely insane amounts of power at ease (though some of the power is lost in overtapping, because you're drawing more power than it's natural - maybe if you overtap long and hard enough, you can minimize the amount of power lost). Maybe that's what Feruchemy savantism is.
