    Think about it like RPG character statistics - when storing you lower one. When tapping you increase it temporarily. You don't have to actually do anything related to the attribute you're storing or tapping. The thing with steel is that you can maybe safely store 50%. Go more than that and heart/breathing problems occur. Standard Tapping Rate would be 50%, then. Go higher than that and you start losing power due to the need to compress it. Moving at 150% your usual speed is not really much. To have observable effects you probably need to go at least 300%. That would be about Thug/Shardbearer speed. So you need to have huge reserves to mess around with Steelrunning. That's why Steel Compounders are so terrifying.

    A question: you're parsing the URL to get the topic and page, right? But how do you made it recognize capitalized letters and apostrophe? In URL it's just "...mestivs-signature". How does it recognize that there is an apostrophe in "mestivs"?

    Breath is needed to provide spark of life. As far as I know metalminds can't just become alive. The whole trick is to make the Awakened entity be basically you, that's why you need Feruchemical aluminium, Feruchemical duraluminium and Feruchemical copper.

    that's not how it works. You can sit perfectly still and store as much speed as you could while running.

    So, I have this crazy idea. Powers you need to have to make it work: copper Feruchemy copper Allomancy aluminium Feruchemy duraluminium Feruchemy Awakening and at least Ninth Heightening Assumption: Compounding copper lets you multiply stored memories (so you end up with 10 copies of the burned memory). That way you can both remember everything and at the same time have it stored. First, you make a sword out of copper, aluminium and duraluminium. It doesn't have to be sword, but let's say it is. You store copper, aluminium and duraluminium 100% and Compound copper to have your memories back and still have a full coppermind. Then you Awaken the sword (I'm still figuring out the Command). Since the metalminds are yours, the Breaths take the path of least resistance and model the sentience after the metalminds. That way you should have an Awakened sword with your mind (as in the process of Awakening it drains your Identity, your Connections and all of your memories). Maybe you also need to throw in nicrosil, I'm not sure. Your thoughts?

    Steelrunning would only let make more jumps as benefit of having improved reflexes, that all. Without running start you don't have any speed bonuses of Steelrunning - it's just regular Steelpushing.

    Would tapping duraluminium improve your Internet connection? Another question: could Awakener force more Breaths into Awakened object? Let's say normally the Awakening this object requires 100 Breaths. Is there a way to force additional 100?

    Steelrunning doesn't affect the force of the Steelpush. Running start would give you enough inertia to carry some of that speed into moving through the air.

    No. Steelrunning makes you able to move your body parts at increased speed. So in order to fly at superspeed first you have to take a running start and after you Steelpush the air resistance will kick in.

    Anyway, the force needed to stop the bullet to a halt is equal or lower than the recoil the shooter feels (without any recoil-diminishing mechanisms - guns aren't my thing). From there it's only calculating the possible fire rate and how many shooters there are. And the reaction speed - the faster the bullets become the harder it will be to Push them. The moment we start talking about heavier machine guns the Mistborn starts getting a hard time. Remind me please, why are we talking about Mistborn vs guns? I thought the topic is Shardplate vs bullets.

    Aluminium may be pretty powerful if burning aluminium makes you invulnerable to Shardblades and Aons and whatnot.

    BTW, I feel I need to remind you all that while the Basic Lashing creates a gravitational pull of exactly the planet's pull, Reverse Lashing creates a far stronger field.

    Um... Yeah, I'm talking about handwashed knives. After you washed them, you put them in the dryer for them to soak down. Those from the washing machine are already dry, so they are put in the drawer.

    Anybody here playing tak? I'm under the same nick. On another note, I consider it a crime that Assassin's Creed Unity had SUCH A STORMING GOOD trailer and the game (from what I heard) is at best mediocre. Seriously, the trailer hyped me so much that I considered buying it (and then I reminded myself that I have a lot of AC games to play through before that. And that I won't be able to run it until I buy and assemble my own PC).

    I don't have problems with "immediate". I have problems with vowel combos. "bureaucracy" "Continuous". I can't remember it for the life of me.

    In TWoK, first page of chapter 72, Shallan asks Jasnah whether she Soulcasted her blood and then is confused cause Jasnah said she isn't very good with organic substances. Jasnah replies that one of the Ten Essences is very easy to create. And that eight types of blood are much easier than, for example, water. That covers A,B, AB and 0 and Rh+ and Rh-.
