Actually, how do the mistcloaks work at all? It's basically all tassles from shoulders to the end; where are the daggers supposed to be strapped? Where did the Mistborn keep vials? After Sazed broke out Vin after she was captured by Inquisitors, she replenished metals from the vial she kept in the pocket of her mistcloak. Where are the pockets supposed to be?

That weird feeling when you are halfway between not reacting and being flattered. Well, cause somebody imagines my voice to sound great is not a thing to be excited about, right? It's entirely on their part how do they imagine me; but on the other hand, somebody is complimenting something about me... So now imagine my voice to be unsure when I say "Uhm, thanks?" BTW, I figured not many people would imagine my voice, cause I'm new to the forum - I joined exactly 5 months ago; well, I make up for it by posting a lot (1,143 posts in 5 months?)... But please tell me, how do you all imagine my voice? The Only Joe made me curious.

So why exactly is Nightblood so stupendously overpowered?
Oversleep replied to kroen's topic in Warbreaker
Wasn't there something that it's because of the clash of Intents? Breaths can only be Endowed. Nightblood consumes Investiture forcibly. Then, when he, the Awakened object, steals Breaths in the process of consuming it, there is just error and Breaths just got corrupted since they were not given away? I swear I've seen a WoB on this... -
But since he didn't even mention duraluminium then we can safely assume that duraluminium is not enough to be able to affect Shards. Roshar is back in the game!

It's not about singing, it's about how high or how low your natural tone is. Bass is deep, tenor is higher than bass and so on. Am I the only one who doesn't have that voices thing going on? I just read you all as... well, writing. @Morzathoth: Well, I you.- 1963 replies

Does "perfectly" equal "symmetrically"? I am not so sure. I was being sarcastic; care to explain how does the "form of writing" relate to Scadrial's focus? And how are Scadrian names based on metals? If you want to pull the "writing in metal" argument, I want to remind you that Shards are blind to metal; since they are blind to metal, it's safe to contain messages. Not the other way around. Focus of Nalthis is Command. There is nothing special to Commands if we approach them from linguistic side; they are just regular words. I don't see how Commands influence writing or how names are based on them.

I don't even know anymore if this is the topic where we discussed Pushing on the Shardblades. However, I found a WoB in favor of Shardbearers: As far as I'm concerned, that's WAY ABOVE duraluminium Pushes.

"Ba Sing Se... The Order of the White Lotus is here." "Here, to set you free." "Only once every hundred years can a firebender experience this kind of power." *a scene of the most epic breathing in history follows*

But if in any life threatening situation you are vulnerable, then you don't have PI in the first place.
-
That presents an interesting problem (now I should say I didn't read Calamity yet): Can Epics be afraid of something not concerning themselves? Because being afraid of your children dying requires empathy and caring for other people.
-
But Fridge Logic kicks in: if you are unkillable, then there is no such situation where you should have died (unless you acquired Epic powers lately and your subconsciousness still thinks bullets can kill you - if you're PI Epic long enough, then you don't even wince while boing shot at).

Why would Fortuity be afraid of attractive women?
Oversleep replied to kroen's topic in The Reckoners
Maybe it's not attraction per se. He doesn't react with fear to attractive women. I think it's only part of the issue - he's afraid of taking relationships a step further into "serious" territory (yeah, good luck with exploiting such weakness). So it starts with being attracted to someone, so it dulls his abilities, but not to a complete shutdown. -
Fixed. Anyway, probably all discussion "Mistborn vs. anybody" boils down to the question "does Mistborn have atium?". If yes, then it's a win for Mistborn. To have a proper discussion we always need to exclude atium (unless we get somebody who have specific abilities which can counter it - Fortuity for example).

English is one of the easiest. Japanese is not really hard (not counting the writing; everything apart from the writing isn't complicated).

Then one day I shall make it But first, I have to figure out how to do champagne and not end up with bottles exploding (this happened to our regular wine which turned out not to be done with the fermentation. Still, the bottles which survived had some very good bubble wine inside...)- 1963 replies

Well, without atium or electrum I don't see many chances to win against atium burner. Atium is a gamebreaker.

Are all aluminium metalminds unkeyed by default? Or only those which were stored 100%? What happens if you tap Identity of another person? BoM:
-
Because there is little difference. If you were to create an unkeyed metalmind, then it's "a metal any Misting of that metal can burn". The whole "only your metal" comes from the keyed aspect of Feruchemy - your metalminds are keyed to you (unless you put some tricks into use).

UNLESS THIS SURVIVOR SHARD SEEKS THE SURVIVOR TO BECOME ITS HOLDER!

Is this confirmed? Can you provide a source? Scadrial, for example. How does this relate to Commands?

Very good. Red sweet, two years old. It's a coupage of sour cherries wine and sweet cherry wine. I'm quite confused as dictionaries and translators name both of the fruits "cherries" despite them being different things. Don't you Americans know sour cherriess (I'm not sure why 'sour'. They aren't sour). The best I could find was the distinction between "sour cherries" and "sweet cherries". Pfft. I live in Poland, not exactly great place for things to grow (well, to grow good enough to make wine out of them, that is. My tomatoes are the best thing in the world). And still the wine is excellent- 1963 replies
