  1. I really said that, huh? Tempting fate was I? CORRECTION: Almost every muscle in my body hurts. Standing up or sitting down is a problem. Stairs are my nemezis now. Walking is hard. Steel, jumping was awesome, would do that again (but I'd do a proper warm-up before this time)
  2. Grandmas have something about temperature. My grandma always thinks it's colder than it really is. Fortunately, she believes me when I say I'm OK
  3. The Admin's special, IIRC.
  4. Haven't they tried the Oathgates in Urithiru? Nothing was built on them as the city was abandoned. I suspect they tried them - after all, Kaladin would just teleport to Alethkar and continue his travel to Hearthstone from there, instead of trying to fly such a long distance.
  5. I went to some trampoline park with my friends today. It was awesome. (although my haven't-shown-up-in-long-time breathing problem tied to physical effort has occured and I had to take frequent breaks and my breath was rasping and I was coughing... NOT IMPORTANT, I had a good time) Right now my legs are trying to get back at me and threatening to not function tomorrow, but I don't care And I scraped some of the skin on my knees, but next time I'll just wear long trousers or use bandages. (Those are some of the many reasons I think Allomantic pewter is awesome) Then we split up, I went with two of my friends (they're a couple) to his house, made a dinner, ate the dinner, made cookies (Hemalurgy free), ate cookies, watched H8ful. Good day.
  6. I mean that their terrifying power comes from a magic hack. If Compounding were impossible, Fullborns would still be pretty strong (all those Twinborn combos and stuff), but wouldn't be outright godlike.
  7. Yeah, but Fullborn is kind of a special case - all his power comes from hacking two systems together. This actually comes from the fact that there are two magic systems, one end-positive and one end-negative which share a focus. And we have two different end-variables because Ruin's system is exceptional in being end-negative, so that the we have three magic systems with different variables. If there was another Shard on Nalthis and there would be a way to multiple Breaths you have by means similar to Compounding, then I guess Nalthis would get pretty broken.
  8. @Radiant Returned, yeah, but after his Ascension he couldn't do anything to exercise control over them. He was literally on the other end of the world. Even if he manifested himself to them and said that they shouldn't make any progress (which I doubt he thinked about during his Ascension - he had much more important things to take care of), how long would that restriction last? A generation? Two? Three? It's not like he could build a religion focused on stagnation with just one apperance. I just can't imagine what Rashek could've done to slow them down.
  9. After the audience had a chance to properly get a look at atium (like Kelsier explaining it to Vin) they can get full speed. And I think a fight in normal time with atium used could be just as cool or even cooler as in slow motion - imagine that insane shadows everywhere and Mistborn being basically a murderous blitz <3
  10. Wasn't there something that Roshar is slowly eroding at one side and growing at the other? The side closer to Origin is destroyed because the highstorm is so strong, while the other side is not destroyed at all (Szeth talks about highstorms in Shinovar being much calmer) so the crem deposits without any trouble?
  11. I don't think TLR really 'placed' them there. There is no reason that whole planet wasn't inhabited and the division only came to be when Rashek put Scadrial too close to the Sun and the lands near the equator started to burn.
  12. Is that even possible? I mean, if we go by average one book a week, starting now, the end would be... end of November. And some of them are rather long
  13. I was talking about Southern Scadrians who did not have a immortal tyrannical god ruler actively repressing technological and scientific progress
  14. That... that is no evidence that mixed Investiture turns black. We don't even know if Nightblood mixes Investiture. We only know it corrupts it. And that in that example it turns black. Since we have seen Dor flowing into Ire fortress and we know Dor is mixed Investiture of Devotion i Dominion and it definitely wasn't black.
  15. Guys, you know I already made that combination in the very first post? XD So since I see no significant way for speed bubbles to affect Sandmastery, I only pointed out Feruchemical bendalloy
  16. But atium doesn't grant speed and shadows are not moving faster The shadow is just preceding the other person's movements.
  17. @mirahound " When you're alone, no one can betray you" "That's kind of what trust is, isn't it? A willful self-delusion." changed into "Trust is a willful self-delusion" "The man who wants you to trust him is the one you must fear the most. " For Rashek, how about something from Alendi's journal? To mislead the audience more? " I never wanted to be feared." or " It began with me." or " I am growing so very tired." or maybe " I must not take the power for myself. "
  18. I've made it unclear: the review was actually good; the quote was taken from the comment on it. And no, it wasn't on tumblr I just wonder what people should make their works about if any bad thing in it means they support it - if you can't write about any bad thing taken from our reality, that leaves us with... dark gods and reality devouring abominations. Oh, wait, dark gods are also part of our world, it would mean I side with cultists. Only time eating abominations, then. Or utopias.
  19. I read the non-canon, alternate what-if thread. I laughed out loud when Deathwish tried to cure Lightwards with coke XD Too late now, but tomorrow...
  20. I'll add it to the Sandmastery entry. So it would be Sandmastery, Feruchemical bendalloy, Feruchemical iron. I like the bird + electrum one. I wish we knew more about Truthwatchers to know how atium drualuminium atium burn would work for them.
  21. I've stumbled across a Dishonored review (the article was about women in the game) and then read the comments... : Remember kids: If your work contains oppresion or tyrannical rulers, it means you support it If genocide happens, it means you support it... Those kinds of logic really raise my bloodpressure. If you'll excuse me, I'll be murdering some bad people while avenging the Empress. BTW, Dishonored is really good.
  22. How about naming them all one term (like perpendicularities or something like that) and the ones related to Shard's being named Shardpools? That way Shardpools would be a subclass of the general term. Like: Every Shardpool is "the term" but not all "terms" are Shardpools? Because Shardpool has a rather strong connection to the Shard, namewise. Aren't those Shardworlds without a Shard minor while those with Shards major Shardworlds?
  23. I usually buy from swiatksiazki.pl (although I always compare it with nieprzeczytane.pl). But MAG's sale is something even cheaper than those two.
  24. Do you have a source for that? I mean, on Scadrial Preservation was white and Ruin was black, so I don't know where are you deriving that from. Also, Dor is bright and glowing, so... Cultivation is whole and fully sentient, busy opposing Odium.
  25. Tanavast also represents himself as human and bought Hoid a drink once, so I guess he was also human; and since he and Cultivation's Shardholder were a couple, I guess Cultivation's holder is also human.
