  1. @TwiLyghtSansSparkles, nice. Still, very nicely executed and hilarious, upvoted
  2. Here you go:
  3. *meanwhile gets disconnected* *demon gets stuck in the router*
  4. Well, doge grammar is purposefully wrong. That's the point, kind of. Hmmm... could we combine doge grammar with High Imperial?
  5. @happyman Since we have a physicist on the subject already... The thing is, we know that it doesn't matter which state the metal is in. It's possible to store and tap in molten metal, for example (obviously not advised for obvious reasons). Logical conclusion is that metal in any state can be burned (obviously not advised... with exception of bendalloy, perhaps). But solid matter, liquids and gases differ on the molecular level - in gases atoms float freely while in solid state they are firmly in place. Could you perhaps elaborate on that?
  6. Fool of a Potter! Water ain't gonna help you.
  7. The question is: how? How they can reenter the Physical? I mean, if their body is not in Physical (because it isn't), how they're different from a Cognitive Shadow? Cognitive Shadow is a person who has no body. Worldhopper is a person who temporarily has no body. But during that time when worldhoppers worldhop, when they're travelling through Cognitive... are they even different from a Shadow?
  8. It's my first playthrough, I'm aiming for Low Chaos. I'm trying to be stealthy (but it's not non-lethal) and I'm stashing unconscious people everywhere (in games I'm a little OCD). Although sometimes something goes wrong and a fight ensues - since I'm already going to reload that part, I have some fun... I'm currently on Lady's Boyle Last Party, I was abusing stopping time during gunfight and managed to get most of the enemies shoot each other. I also figured out the trick with Bend Time, crossbow and springrazor trap. But things those people on internet do... I feel like Kaladin trying to figure out how to stick two things together while Szeth runs on the walls and slaughters people. I mean, I never tried to combine sliding and Blinking, for example. For second playthrough I'm planning an super-ghost. Not only doing the "Ghost achievement" - I'll try to get as little people as possible to see me. Even if they are not-hostile. No evidence of my actions, if that's possible. I want to get through the city, do the job and have everyone wonder whether I even exist. For third playthrough, I'm thinking about "Mostly Flesh and steel" crossed with Assassin's Creed. Navigate by rooftops. Kill targets by throwing them from heights. Lots of drop assasinations. This has to be the High Chaos run, though.
  9. I just looked up some creative kills in Dishonored... I think I'm playing this game wrong.
  10. I was doing a crossword. "At for chemists". Five letters. I almost wrote in "atium" before I remembered it cannot be the answer (It was "astatine" which is five letters long in Polish)
  11. I'm a Shardbearer now! I think that it's my favorite of the ranks I had. I loved Shardbearers from the get go.
  12. How about a completing a reading order which is optimized for maximal cosmere-awareness? I mean an order which puts Way Of Kings after Mistborn First Era, Elantris and White Sand solely because of the Purelake worldhoppers? We want to minimize the amount of missing references and easter eggs. We also want to keep as consistent as possible - Eleventh metal is a prequel to Final Empire, so it had to be read in the least time apart. Of course, it can't be avoided with Secret History, as in such order it has to be read last of the currently avalaible cosmere. Bolded segments are to be read in that order, the same color can be switched around. So it's always Blue-> Green -> Orange. Spoiler for length.
  13. Um... what? I was trying to say that your example of Adolin fighting Parshendi is misguided So my point is that yes, Adolin wants to fight his enemies on equal ground and that war doesn't count. Attacking Sadeas wasn't an act of war - it was closer to the Adolin's view of duel (as in his mind he has clear distinction of duels and battles).
  14. I think I know why Dalinar is harsher on Adolin. There are multiple reasons for that. Adolin is the first son. The older siblings usually have it harder... but in this case, it also means he is an heir not only the the Kholin princedom, but a potential heir to the throne of the Alethkar itself. Adolin has to be ready for such things. Before somebody points out that Dalinar cuts Elhokar more slack, I want to remind that Elhokar is not Dalinar's son, so things are different. Every father wants their children to be good. If he doubts himself, he wants them to be better than him. Dalinar is not exactly happy about the man he was, the Blackthorn. He wants Adolin to be better man than him, so he is harsher. Tied to that, he is probably scared of Adolin taking after him. He may see Adolin becoming the next Blackthorn and is scared of that. ... There was something else, but I forgot. There is a difference between battle and a duel. For example, t is a good idea to lure enemy forces into a trap in battle; it is unacceptable to ambush the opponent in a duel.
  15. I interacted with a wasp nest. Accidentialy. I wish I hadn't.
  16. Careful. I know the WoB you're refering to and it caused a lot of debate whether it really means what we think it may mean. Anyway, a natural interaction of magic would be Twinborns. For example Crashers could be a nice example of how magics interact. Compounding however is something that was not "meant" to be - it's like a short circuit. Can it achieve a desirable effect under specific circumstances? Yes, of course. Is it meant to work like that? Not really.
  17. And I did not mean that it requires infinite mass; but the amount of mass you'd need would be so great that you'd have problems even with constant Compounding. And what @Argel said.
  18. I doubt that Trell chimed in at that time already. Nobody could've known that instead of Ruin killing Preservation there would be a double Ascension resulting in a double Shard. So everyone probably thought that there is gonna be a rogue Shard hell bent on destructing the universe... But then it turned out differently so Trell engaged. I think we need a WoB on Sazed not doing anything with the Southerners.
  19. Even if he did, it was years after the Katacendre (Allik says as much). They all were freezing to death for some time. (SH spoilers)
  20. We also don't know whether and how would the case of murder of Sadeas show up - I mean, it's not like they can gather fingerprints or anything of the sort... Furthermore, at the time Adolin had a broken wrist and Sadeas was not killed by a Shardblade while everybody knows that Adolin Kholin is a Shardbearer et cetera et cetera. It's possible that Adolin will spend a part of a book while being eaten away by guilt (it reminds me of Crime and Punishment a little). As for Dalinar's reaction, I think he'll both understand that on some basic level it was a right thing to do while completely angry for Adolin becoming a murderer. A little similar to how he simultaneously was furious at Kaladin and then thanked him for saving his sons.
  21. I know we already had V for Vendetta "Spren are bulletproof" meme, but I think we could pair the iconic V meme "Ideas are bulletproof" with a picture of a Shardbearer standing in Shardplate, looking awesome and all, saying "Indeed they are"
  22. BTW, I wonder what was Sazed thinking during Catacendre. I mean, if it weren't for Kelsier, they'd all freeze to death. Why didn't Sazed reverse their adaptation to a hotter world? He knew about them, although I can't say for sure he knew that they're gonna have problems. What is going on here?
  23. I think we would run in the problem with iron itself. Even with Compounding, there are some hard limits on how much a metalmind can hold and how much you can Compound out of it...
  24. But a black hole would be quite dangerous to have near the planet, wouldn't it?
  25. From a storytelling point of view, there is this whole build-up of the real!Eshonai screaming in the head of Stormform!Eshonai. If she died right now, all of that would've been wasted. I think we're in for some mental struggle (TVTropes warning!).
