  1. I think that since the Cap's shield isn't magical (invested) in any way, the shardblade would cut right through it. However, if it was Thor's Mjolnir, I believe that it would react similar to shardplate.
  2. What about Wax?
  3. Seeing as how this is pretty early on in the timeline, and we are just now meeting Khriss (who at this time we believe doesn't know much of anything about the cosmere) there probably won't be a lot of insight to the cosmere. At least in the first issue it will probably be more of a background/get to know the characters. I feel there might be some info in the later issues about how Khriss became aware of the cosmere and what started her on her path to worldhopping/gathering info on magic systems.
  4. we know of stuff that is faster than light. Quantum entagelment yo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_entanglement
  5. You are making a large assumption that Brandon's cosmere is infinitely large. What if the cosmere is finite???
  6. Stormlight is easier to acquire than breaths. I'm guessing Vasher felt bad for taking people's breaths to live, this is the more humane way.
  7. There is a plan. Off the top of my head I believe the ending of the Cosmere series as a whole will be with the final futuristic Mistborn series. He will also be doing the prequal series on Yolen. There will be a total of at least 40 books.
  8. What if Adonalsium is Brandon Sanderson. His mind broke apart into 16 pieces, and each piece(s) is writing a fantasy series. When you put it all back together you get Brandon all together.
  9. Uhhhh, Ruin and Preservation are not exact opposites. Ruin and Cultivation would be. Ruin: Intelligent Decay (Negative Change) Preservation: Stop things from changing Cultivation: Not really sure how cultivation works, but pretty sure Brandon has said that this is more of an opposite to Ruin than Preservation is. (Positive Change)
  10. So they are stuck there somehow? What is preventing them from getting back to the physical realm?
  11. A Pewter drag has nothing to do with savantism, and you don't suffer a Pewter drag, you suffer the after effects. A Pewter drag is just when you have a bunch of pewter and flare it for a long period of time while physically extending yourself. You can become a Pewter savant if you Pewter drag often. You could argue that if one becomes a Pewter savant, they will be affected in a similar way that spook was affected. When spook was burning/flaring tin (which was pretty much constantly), he got so good at burning the metal, he could burn the metal at a faster rate, which meant more magic was coming into is body than his body could compensate for. The magic caused him to be so good at taken in environmental stimuli, but his physical body failed to keep up with being able to handle all of that data. A pewter savant could work the same way. They could get so good at burning pewter (getting more strength), but the body might not be able to keep up with that increase in strength. Example: try to lift a building, the magic will allow you to do it, but your body breaks in the process.
  12. Re-reading Calamity is like navigating through your house with all the lights off...You think you know where everything is, then you stub your toe on the kitchen table.
  13. Regular physics still applies. If you could reverse lash an arrow without touching it, in an attempt to pull other arrows toward the intended target, the reverse lashed arrow would itself be pulled off course. Just like in mistborn, if you iron push on something that is heavier than you (or has more friction), then you will move instead of it moving.
  14. Right?? I thought about this as I was falling asleep to the audio book.
  15. Professor Membrane from Invader Zim
  16. It's not what people do with the magic, it is how they get it in the first place and how they go upon using magic. Allomancy: you get the power from somewhere else, thus you are preserving (not using) yourself. So, preservation. Feruchemy: its neutral, you get out what you put in. You ruin yourself for a bit, preserve it for later use. So, a mix Hemalurgy: you ruin someones spirit web by stealing an attribute. Some of the power is lost which is why it is "end negative". So you get the power by ruining something. So, Ruin.
  17. Maybe that extra .18 shards turned into the investiture that is just hanging around the cosmere.
  18. I don't like it. What's the point of buying an Xbox, just buy a great computer, hook it up to your TV (chromecast, HDMI, somehow...), get a controller that hooks up to your computer, and boom you have an Xbox. The only reason I bought the xbox one was so I could play Halo, otherwise I would prefer a "Pure" gaming console (PS4).
  19. I'm on the page but I can't find the vote button???
  20. Interesting, I don't think I would be a Bondsmith as I do not enjoy being a Leader. I would say that I identify mostly with the Skybreakers and the Windrunners. 84% Bondsmith 81% Skybreaker 76% Windrunner 72% Stoneward 09% Willshaper 06% Edgedancer 00% Truthwatcher 00% Lightweaver 00% Dustbringer 00% Elsecaller
  21. maybe instead of sentient, use bonded?
