  1. HDCM - High Definition Copper Memories, now in 4k! On a serious note, when the Twinborn is retrieving the HDC Memories from their coppermind, would they need to be burning tin to process the extra information?
  2. That's one tough pumpkin #PewterPumpkin

    #PewterPumpkin

Didn't turn out as well as I hoped, but I didn't have the proper tools.
  4. I agree that the Knights Radiant/surgebinders are dependent upon the Nahel bond to use their magic, but they are still the ones using it. Whereas on First of the Sun, the people depend entirely on the Aviar for magic, the people do not use the magic themselves. Its just a random and most likely wrong theory haha.
  5. I always pictured Rock to look like Kronk from the Emperor's New Groove, but he spoke with a Somoan accent.
  6. One more thought. In Biology, autonomy means growing naturally...without cultivation. hmmmmmmmm
  7. Possible pairing with Autonomy: Autonomy: Self-Government, independent, not subject to control from outside. This makes a lot of sense if you have read that really long word doc. Dependence: Relying on someone or something else for aid, conditioned or determined by something else. Random theory that just popped up in my head. Dependence sounds a lot like what is happening on First of the Sun. We know there isn't a shard there now, but what if there was one at some point.
  8. That was my first thought.
  9. That's what I assumed, otherwise it didn't make sense to me.
  10. I would like to see that WoB
  11. I thought that Dalinar himself is the one who was writing the warnings, he just didn't realize it? I could be wrong, I haven't read the books in awhile and I'm at work so I can't do too much research.
  12. So did this ever happen?
  13. Has anyone actually confirmed the definition of a Worldhopper? Is a Worldhopper an individual that has the ability to hop across worlds? Or Is a Worldhopper anyone that has been to more than one world? If it is the fromer, then Frost doesn't have to be on Yolen. He could be a non-worldhopper that got brought along with a worldhopper.
  14. Do we know how he lost his eye in the first place? If nobody knows, what if he had an interaction with the Nightwatcher. The curse could be that his eye was taken and he sees things in the dark?
  15. Hello and welcome! What Cosmere novels do you have yet to read? Here's a free upvote!
  16. Allomancy - Preservation - Positive You use a catalyst (metals) to let the power of preservation into the physical realm in certain ways (depending on the metal). Thus you are using preservations power and not your own, and it becomes an end positive system. Thus you are preserving your own power. Hemalurgy - Ruin - Negative You steal a piece of someone's SDNA, and when you spike it to your own, some of that investiture is lost. So power is lost, meaning it is an end negative system. You ruin someone else's power. Feruchemy - Harmony/Balance - Neutral You store up your own power, then you use it later. Another way of saying it is, you preserve your own power, then you "ruin/destroy/lose" it by using it. So in the end, it is a neutral system. Ruin and preservation balance each other, and feruchemy is all about that balance. I believe they stated this in the book, but I'm too lazy to find where...sorry.
  17. Exactly. If there were enough elevation changes, then it would be called the shattered hills. Plains are just that, plains...Flat...which makes sense since highstorms are the strongest when the hit them, and wind and water would have eroded it to the flatness that we see, with some minor deviations. There would certainly not be any pointy mountain tips, especially that far east. Again, this is an amazing picture.
  18. Haha thanks for the input, Douglas.
  19. I was aimlessly wandering through the 17th shard and The Coppermind, and I started delving into the Derethi Church. I noticed at the end of the Coppermind article it mention a mythical sword. Link here. "The original Wyrn had a mythical sword named Gretgor" "Gretgor is a mythological weapon used by the first Wyrn, founder of the Fjordell Empire." This is the first time I can remember hearing about this sword/weapon. We know that Elantris is chronologically first, in regards to the currently published cosmere works. Could this mythical sword/weapon be somehow related to shardblades, or awakened swords (nightblood)? Is this mythical sword the idea/seed for how nightblood came to be? I have no more information on Gretgor, so I am interested to see what people think, or if people have any other information regarding this weapon.
  20. This is really awesome!!! My only criticism is that this scene was happening on the "Shattered Plains", not the "Shattered Plains Plus some Mountains" Other than that, the shading and coloring of Kaladin's arms is amazing (sounds weird, but I know from experience how hard it is to make a person look real)
  21. Nice catch. Let's suppose that you are correct in that Edwarn is a hemalurgist. Do you think he has a hemalurgic spike similar to Wax's? (An earring that has a negligible charge) Or Do you think he has a hemalurgic spike with a significant charge, granting him some power we (readers and in story characters) have yet to realize? If one of those options turns out to be true, they both have some implications. Let's say that option 1 is true. (Possible, but unlikely in my opinion) Has anyone ever seen Edwarn wear an earring? Also, while writing this I am realizing that it would be pretty lucky on Harmony's/Wax's part that Edwarn was wearing the earring while making the decision to have the trunks ordered. Now, Let's say that option 2 is true. Is he aware that he is spiked/being influenced? If he always has a spike in, then Harmony can hear and talk to him. (I am unsure of how much Harmony can do now that 300 years have passed and he/it is being more influenced into "harmony"/inaction (the balance between growth/decay ruin/preservation)). I am at work right now so I don't have as much time as I would like to put thought towards this. What do you think?
  22. Great minds think alike haha

  24. It is still Siuan, but when you say it fast enough it sounds like "swan" See-oo-wahn (wahn sounds rhymes with on). I've listened to all the cosmere works in audio format (those that are available), and I disagree with your phonetic spelling on a few of them. Adolin always sounded to me like Ad-Oh-Lin Ad as in Add, Oh as in the letter O, Lin like the name Lynn. Jasnah always sounded to me like Ya-znuh. I agree with the others though!
  25. I don't like being pigeonholed, especially by myself. Now I have an extensive list of books I can look to when I am awaiting the next Sanderson novel.
