  1. That would be very helpful. Are we measuring Investment levels, though, or ability to channel/access Investiture, or Connection? The problem is there's several different ways to reach those levels, so we need a term that wouldn't be specific to one and exclude others. We could just call them Power Levels, but that seems…pedestrian.
  2. Nice! Gonna make yourself some Shardplate?
  3. The worst part is she hasn't been like this. There's been little moments, sure, but overall I thought she'd actually understood. I'm coming to understand the brain weasels idea too.
  4. I'm literally shaking with rage right now. I've been going through this constant pain and fatigue plus fibromyalgia for 3 full years now (as of tomorrow morning), and my wife has been very understanding and sympathetic (she knows I'm pushing myself just to stay as involved as I can, and I'm not choosing to be lazy and inactive). My mom apparently doesn't feel that way. She just called me to say she thinks I need to "buck up" and start helping my wife again, as if I've been sitting around doing nothing and being a drain on everyone's resources. I knew she didn't understand before, not fully, but she'd never been that insensitive or outrageous before. My wife heard the whole thing too, and completely understands why I'm sitting here shaking and crying because of how rude and untrue it was. Edit: This phone call came while I was incapacitated on the couch from the head pain, too.
  5. To get to the other Shard, of course. Also, SOMEONE PLEASE ASK BRANDON THAT QUESTION!
  6. Sometimes, but it does often say that they dropped a coin, then pushed on it. I don't think the effect would be that much different, though.
  7. Since Quintus was not returned in the LG, he'll make the trip to Roshar and participate in this game instead. Edit: Whoops, mixed up my games. Might back out if I am returned in LG29, instead of LG28 (where I'm long dead). Edit 2: Nope, still dead there, so I'm coming to Urithiru!
  8. Bright blue, or a deep blue? Also, are you a girl/guy, and is it long or short hair? My sisters have died their hair many different colors, so I'm curious how it looks. (I would consider it, but that's not really my personality and I like to sing with the worship team at church, who wouldn't kick me out or anything, but I would feel self-conscious).
  9. Did TLR sleep, or did he compound wakefulness and just never sleep?
  10. Exactly why I'm thinking bindpoints refers only to where the spike is placed to bind the stolen attribute onto the recipient. The victim has to be stabbed through the heart with the Intent to create a spike (the metal decides the attribute in most cases, unless it's an Atium spike, in which case Intent may still guide the choice of the attribute stolen), but then it must be affixed to the proper bindpoint to attach (bind) that attribute to the recipients spiritweb.
  11. I'm not so sure about this part. My headcanon has been that bindpoints are the places where spikes get attached to the recipient, but that all spikes are created by being driven through the victim's heart. Since I don't think we know for sure, though, I asked on Reddit and I'll let ya'll know if I get an answer.
  12. I was just trolling Brandon's Reddit account when I came across this gem in the WoT subreddit.
  13. Actually, Hoid has white hair and often a white beard, but is consistently described as much younger looking than they expect (from the hair, I assume). I always mentally picture him mid-30s.
  14. My understanding from the WoB already posted and other information is that anyone can Awaken if they acquire Breaths, but that non-Nalthians don't have an innate Breath that could be used (he says "They could not use what they have to Awaken something."
  15. As far as we know, it would require a Shard investing in Scadrial (not just interacting as we've suspected Trell is) to create a new god metal. However, there are a couple possibilities. The first is that Trell (Autonomy, or whoever else it might be) has either found a way to use their worlds native magic for a spike, or has somehow modified the metal used in a strange way. The second is that they did Invest in Scadrial and just managed to keep that fact secret from Harmony. The third is that there is some other type of magical hack going on (the cop out answer).
  16. I was thinking caught more Pikachu with Santa Hats than I had ever caught without, prior to this event, but it appears I was a bit off. I think I've managed to catch 6 of the little buggers, but that's still slightly less than half of my total haul of 14 lifetime Pikachu's. Does that include egg hatches (in the badges)? If so, I've still caught more in the wild with Santa Hats than without.
  17. Definitely a Hufflepuff statement. :-P
  18. The problem I have with Justice for Odium+Honor is that hate has no place in justice (I know, you could call it hatred of dishonor, but even that doesn't fit to me). Fanaticism fits better in my mind, or maybe Revenge. A dark vigilante like The Punisher or Daredevil comes to mind.
  19. Ascension isn't a one-time done type of thing, though. TLR ascended when he used the Well, and remained a Sliver after, but he… descended(?) when the power of the Well was used up. He didn't remain ascended (otherwise he would have still been holding onto the power of the well, but we know he wasn't).
  20. At least it wasn't in the road. See that all the time here (Central Florida).
  21. Thanks, Elodin, so unless he and Joe were in cahoots and trying to trick us, it does seem likely Joe really did have Cultivation. Whoever has it now, I'd usually recommend PMing someone, but in this game...I dunno. I don't think I'd be announcing too loudly if I had a Shard.
  22. Maybe you should read a book... Ok, Bob.
  23. See, @AliasSheep, I disagree strongly about the usefulness of that information. Yes, in the minute chance that we happen to lynch an eliminator, knowing who didn't vote for them is mildly useful. However, knowing who voted for a villager doesn't tell us Jack Squat, and we have a far greater likelihood of losing someone helpful in this game than usual, even though you're trying to claim it's just like any other game in that regard. I think it will be incredibly risky and foolish to do a D1 lynch in this game, and there are enough actions that we should have useful information and discussion for D2 without a D1 lynch. Edit: @Seonid, I don't see it in the rules, what is the result of a tied lynch in this game?
