  1. Eh, you're right that everyone knew, I'd forgotten. That doesn't change anything particularly important, though. I don't know who the other Artist is that scanned Lopen, and I kinda figured PK hadn't scanned Lopen or Lopen would likely have let me know, especially when I was voting on PK, but I don't know why you assume that if I'm an Artist, the village has three. It's entirely possible we do, btw, but I agree that it's reasonably likely the Forgotten have one. However, assuming Sart didn't mess something up (and I have asked him for confirmation), you're boldly lying here, probably assuming that no one else can corroborate my story, if the other Artist is indeed your Forgotten teammate. Perhaps I'm wrong about you, though that could only be possible if there was a mistake at this point, but I don't see that being likely right now.
  2. Huh, well, that sucks. Lopen PMed me just before the cycle ended to say that an assassin was going to take out Ornstein, pushing for me to move my vote. I declined since I was genuinely not suspicious of Joe, but obviously the suspicion of Ornstein wasn't better founded. The question is, who else knew that Lopen was a non-Rithmatist? I knew, and I am aware that others knew, but not their identities for the most part. If he was targeted intentionally because of his role, which is possible at this point, there must have been a Forgotten among those he told, or perhaps a second-level contact. The only person I'm sure knew is an Assassin, and may have been the one targeting Ornstein, though perhaps they switched targets if they knew he was going to be lynched anyways. That said, since we need success right now or we're completely screwed, I do want to reveal that I am an Artist, which is how I knew that Lopen was a non-Rithmatist, and last night I sent a Line of Making to scan Aman. Who drew a Line of Vigor last night. When three villagers were killed. He's a Sentry role, btw, as well, since my specialization shows me that. Which means I don't think I have much choice but to assume Aman is among the Forgotten, probably the one who targeted Lopen, or perhaps BrightnessAscendant.
  3. @Amanuensis, an order wouldn't really be needed. The player uses it openly, so they'd simply post in the thread that they shot that person, and a GM would only need to confirm once they could that it wasn't illegitimate. It'd be easy to discipline anyone who tries to fake it, so I doubt that'd be an issue.
  4. Have there been roles used here that could circumvent the usual order of actions? Specifically, the games I play IRL often include a Gunsmith, who can hand out guns to people during the night (so no one else knows who has one). Those guns, however, can be used at any time during the day cycle to kill someone instantly. In the middle of discussion. It might be the lynch target, in which case we move on to voting on someone else instead, but the point is that they're dead instantly, with no recourse. Obviously it can be good or bad, like using most roles, and since the gunsmith is giving out the guns without knowing people's alignment, they don't prove anything, but it's an incredible way to make a "bang" to pardon the pun.
  5. I honestly didn't think I made it back in time for rollover (I had 8PM EST stuck in my head), so I can cast a vote. I'll confess, it's not as well thought through personally as I'd like, but from reading the assessments of Joe and Ornstein by other players, I have to agree that Ornstein is by far the more suspicious player right now. I can see Joe saying he's willing to die as an Elim bold move, but nothing in that post came across that way to me. It was someone tired of just being tunneled on, and I haven't seen much good reasoning to vote for him. So, that's where my vote is coming from.
  6. @BlackYeti, let's look at that comparison between Atium and Shardblades for a moment. Atium is the condensed essence of Ruin, forced into physical form by Preservation. It's a Godmetal, which on Scadrial means it can be burned, but I don't believe we have any confirmation that you could burn part of a Shardblade if such a thing was possible, despite it being a very common question here on the boards. Shardblades are metallic, yes, and also the condensed essence of a spren, a splinter of a Shard. However, unlike Atium, spren blades take many forms and sizes, and can shift in a heartbeat as we see in Kaladin's battle with Szeth and the aforementioned Shardfork. Already, we see two huge differences: they are not composed of a single unique element, especially considering they can be a variety of mixtures of two Shard's power, and they are fully malleable at will, with their own sapience. Using Atium to show that Shardblades have a certain amount of Investiture based on their size is absolutely not a logical scenario in this case. They have some definite similarities, by design, but they are also significantly different in some specific and undeniable ways that are directly relevant here.
  7. No, I don't think that follows at all. We're dealing with magical items here, and while Brandon's magic has strict rules, the physical size of objects doesn't have to correlate to their "Investiture density" to coin a term. They may easily just be changing their density and shape, or any number of perfectly legitimate explanations. Until we know for sure, none of those ideas should be treated as fact, especially not when shooting down another person's theory.
  8. That's...completely speculative and not backed up by anything I've seen. Please don't state it as fact. I'm strongly of the opinion that that simply isn't true at all, and we've never once had a WoB that there's any truth to that, nor a reason to believe that a larger blade has more Investiture manifesting than a smaller one.
  9. Seriously, right? Star Wars 40th Celebration was right here in my storming city and I didn't have any chance at going to that.
  10. My wife says that I don't act depressed and in pain enough when I go to the doctor, so this morning on the way there, she intentionally pissed me off and then walked away in front of me to the office. And I'm still pissed off, and it didn't change anything with the doctor (who, like every other doctor we've seen, said very specifically that she does believe me about what's going on, so it's only the disability insurance that claims it's a problem, and we already know they're cremholes).
  11. I don't know if I'll be able to make a substantive post this cycle, but I'll send in an order. I can't really weigh in on anything in the thread at this time.
  12. I got a promotion! I wonder if I inherited Sadeas' princedom?
  13. Yes, I would absolutely switch back if I thought that lynch would work out. At this point, if I switch and you add your vote to PK, though, we just tie the vote, which isn't helpful. I'll check back before rollover.
  14. Headed up to the Mayo Clinic in a bit. While the end result may be good, these appointments are incredibly stressful on me, and I will likely spend a few days after nearly comatose at times. First appointment is just a scan fortunately; those are fairly simple (an MRI, basically).
  15. I'm pretty sure they'll all know he's there to kill them. What they don't know is how mercilessly he'll slaughter them.
  16. I don't have nearly as much to offer, but Aman, Remart has a very nice bendalloy metalmind you're welcome to take. It's…uh…it's in a peg leg, though.
  17. Hope you both feel better soon! As no one seems to share my suspicion of PK, and I don't want to just leave a vote where it'll be essentially wasted (though I've not lessened my suspicion of him at all), I'm going to remove my vote from Paranoid King for now and join in voting for Ecthelion. I find his vote on Len this cycle very odd, like someone trying to get a bandwagon started but without really having a good motivation other than thinking they need to get rid of the other player. Granted, I would usually expect better from Ecth, but at the same time, it doesn't add up. If you do turn out village, Ecth, then Len will be a fairly high suspicion on my list, but I share Lopen's assessment that the two of you are almost certainly not on the same team, and of the two, Len is the one playing normally to me.
  18. Some of it's amazing. Thrawn and Lost Stars, at least. Loved both of those (well, I'm halfway through Thrawn now, but there's no doubt it's good).
  19. I'm very excited. I hold in my hands Thrawn, Timothy Zahn's latest book about one of the most amazing characters ever created within the Star Wars universe, and confirmed part of the new canon. It's good so far, 4 pages in!
  20. I'm also fairly certain that Lopen is innocent now, until the first conversion of course. I'm still suspicious of you, though, @Paranoid King. Your explanation of why you jumped onto the bandwagon before doesn't allay those suspicions, so unless I find a better suspicion, my vote goes on you again. I don't want to get stuck tunneling on someone again (been there, done that), but at the same time...I was right some of those times, and this is more than just my gut. Paranoid King
  21. No, I'm thinking they went to Roshar and invested, before planning for Odium. Then, they discover what he's doing, and both or Honor alone acts to do something that forces Odium into the system, like being reeled in on a fishhook, and traps him there. I don't even know if that's possible, but I don't know that it isn't, and it's a fascinating concept to me.
  22. I posted this in another thread in response to a post by @Zennix, but here's a question: Did adding gemstones to the dead Shardblades turn them into a type of fabrial, or at least trap the spren in a similar way?
  23. That brings a very interesting possibility to mind. Did adding the gemstone (which we know was part of what allowed bonding the blades so they could be dismissed and summoned) turn them into fabrials? After all, the blades are spren that have been "killed" and trapped in that form, so adding the gemstone may basically trap them the same way. Obviously the mechanics of how it works are different, but these are Radiant spren, so maybe that's to be expected.
  24. Brandon has said that their eyes are only big in comparison to the other Rosharans, who have the epicanthic folds, so the Shin would actually probably look pretty normal to us. I don't think they're all bald by any means, either, that's either something about Szeth or the Truthless perhaps.
