  1. I had a thought regarding the discussion from a cycle or two ago about some of the Skindancers going into the Crockery thinking they could break out and have gained some trust. Putting aside the low chances of breaking out in time to do any good, someone who has been in the Crockery is permanent lowered one level, and could never become a Master. That means they could never destroy a field, removing them as a factor in that particular win condition. Now, the Skindancers might have just decided that was a long shot anyways, but I doubt they'd permanently sabotage their opportunity to do that.
  2. Why are you suspicious of HH? I am wary because he's an El'the and could potentially be elevated to Master, so if he is a Skindancer that's dangerous for us, but I don't have any other specific reasoning on him. I'm wary of Cluny for the same reason, but it's just caution, not actual suspicion in both cases. There's one other who's identity is slipping my mind who is also an El'the, and I'm hoping to be one myself soon.
  3. It gets even better. Of course, you're a Sanderfan already or you wouldn't be here, so you probably know to expect that.
  4. Watching the Planet Hulk animated film in preparation for Thor: Ragnarok.
  5. Freudian Slip?
  6. Relaxation was a foreign concept to Vell, but when a couple of students begged her to visit Imre with them, she eventually relented. Sure, she took books with her (she didn't bother asking if it was ok), and she wasn't planning to spend much time shopping or drinking or whatever other nonsense the rabble rousers got into. She wasn't. Honestly. When she returned, she finally knew what a hangover was. One that lasted for a week, in fact, since her "friends" had tried to convince her that it got better if she only drank more. It did, for that matter. For a short time. Now she knew why her father had slept in the stable if he came back smelling like booze. She felt like she should as well, though after the tales of mercenaries in the streets slitting throats and stabbing dancing girls, she was glad for a roof over her head. Never again. Study was all that mattered. She'd learn everything she could while she was here, however long it lasted. Staying away from danger was the best plan. And ignoring the rumors about Skindancers. Hazing and pranks, that must be what it was. I said I wanted to do some analysis on Aonar and Stink, but I'm honestly not so confident I'll get to do that. While I have a lot of time sitting around, most of it doesn't put me in a position with much brain power to spare. What I'd really appreciate, actually, is someone I thought I could relatively trust who could help me with some private analysis. I can initiate PMs, not worried about tuition increases, but I'd want to come up with a way to have a fairly good reason to trust you, of course, and that might depend on who exactly is willing. Aonar was my last PM contact, just to try to feel his story and see who I believed, and obviously he ended up not being trustworthy.
  7. Perhaps the Sabotage technically happens at the same time as the Insanity roll? That would account for an offensive action being able to block it. Edit: Cluny, I feel very shamed that it took until yesterday for me to place your username. Ack.
  8. Woohoo! Two Skindancers killed. That's a huge win for us at this point, and gives us something to go on. If I get a chance, I'll try to analyze Stink and Aonar's posts a little, though I'll be hampered by only being on mobile, and see if I can work out any likely connections to other Skindancers. Sorry for the lack of posts last cycle, it was a tough time here in the hospital, but assuming I don't have quite as bad a day, I do intend to at least do some RP, and hopefully that bit of analysis I mentioned.
  9. I know I shouldn't think through things like this, but I can't help it sometimes. I just realized that I'd had this head pain for 3.5 years, and I'm 32, so that's closing in on 10% of my life. An unpleasant thought on its own. Then I realized that the other chronic pain I've had is my IBS that we now know is from corn, but which was debilitating at times and actually put me in the hospital on its own at one point. I've had that since I was 16. So yeah, literally half of my life has been spent in constant or near-constant pain. No wonder I'm depressed.
  10. Heinous! It's "ya'Il're".
  11. Vell paused and glanced up from her studies. Some of the students were talking in low voices about Skindancers and the students being sent to the Crockery. Mad, they were, of course; that's why they were sent to the Crockery. There were rumors about some of them being driven insane on purpose, and even about some people being killed, but Vell dismissed such nonsense. She'd been cooped up in the library, or her room, or classrooms, or one of the labs, or whatever little corner she could find, sure, but she was sure she'd have noticed if there was a Skindancer around. Except she didn't actually know what a Skindancer was, except for a fairy-tale nightmare creature. It didn't matter. She'd learn everything she could, and when she was done, her University education would put her on track to a career that could bolster her family finances and get them all into a better situation. Vell had mostly ignored the other students ever since she'd arrived, and she didn't plan to change that now. Sure, she'd filed a few complaints about troublemakers, but most of those had come to nothing and she hadn't worried about them anyway. Of a great deal more interest were the great number of books in the library that she could study, on every conceivable subject. She didn't need other people. She had her books. Can someone create a list of those who have and haven't been expelled or sent to the Crockery? I'm having a hard time keeping track since I'm only on mobile, and I've messed up a couple times now trying to vote or send actions in related to people who are dead, expelled, in the Crockery, etc. For now, I do find BrightnessRadiant's posts suspicious, and I'm pretty sure she's still at the University, so I'm filing that complaint. If I learn other information to push me one way or the other, I may file a second complaint and/or remove that one. I hopefully will be up to posting more, and it doesn't look like my schedule at the hospital will be that busy, but I may not be up for thinking about this too much even when I'm not busy. I'm doing my best to remain as active as I can, though.
  12. Even they don't try to promise that. It's all just hope and trial and error. I'm not holding my breath. Less likely to be let down again that way.
  13. 1. Looking for Group 2. Least I Could Do 3. Zap! 4. Girl Genius 5. Dreamland Chronicles 6. Order of the Stick 7. No Need For Bushido 8. The Adventures of Dr McNinja 9. xkcd 10. Ctrl+Alt+Del 11. Cyanide and Happiness 12. Spiky-haired Dragon, Worthless Knight 13. Buttersafe 14. Gone With The Blastwave 15. Unsounded WLIU, name 15 food ingredients made from corn. (A personal issue.)
  14. That'd be preferable.
  15. Guess who got to wake up at 6AM to get a new IV inserted? And blood drawn? And a lumbar puncture ("spinal tap") scheduled this afternoon?
  16. That's a lot, from what I hear. Probably nothing like taking a bite directly from one like I saw a guy do on TV (actually, I think it was Guy Fieri).
  17. I will be in-patient at a hospital for 1-2 weeks, and I don't know if that means I'll be laying around bored and have tons of time or I'll be unable to get on much. I'll let you know if I have to drop out, but I don't expect that and might actually be able to be more active, but just giving a heads up. The evidence against Aonar is interesting, and I don't have a lot to add, but I'm curious why so many people think he's just officially outed and aren't continuing to question the evidence. Granted, I don't think there's anything wrong with voting on him if you are convinced, but let's make sure we're not just assuming someone else is correct. I can't lodge any complaints this cycle due to other actions I'm taking, so I won't be able to myself, but I'm not completely convinced I would place them on Aonar if I could, or at least maybe not both. I'll see if I can reexamine the details provided about what happened, though I can confirm that Aonar told me his action was canceled by Anker's, but also that he does definitely have the ability to use the Name of the Wind.
  18. I'll officially be a patient at St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Chelsea, MI for the next week or two. This might end up being a good thing, if they can help my head, but it's a scary prospect to me. I wouldn't know what to do if they do fix it at this point, and I have no idea what it'll do to me if they don't.
  19. Huh, so I lied about the return of the Radiants. Or did I?
  20. Ouch, I noticed the expulsion at the time and forgot. I was in the airport in Atlanta at the time, so I plead distraction. Arinian, Arinian
  21. @queensteph, that's compelling information and I'm inclined to believe you, though it could easily be a Skindancer ploy. For now, since I don't have any better info to act on, Arinian, Arinian.
  22. Burnt, I can say that I was in Imre last turn and there were no contracts on Rand, so whoever did it did it for their own reasons, or was a Skindancer. My guess is a Skindancer with enough money to hire an Assassin in Imre. @BrightnessRadiant, I still haven't seen good reasons to be suspicious of me. I don't know exactly why anyone's suspicious of me except for my reduced activity compared to previous games, which was explained already, but again, I am flying to Michigan for a 2 week pain clinic and have been arranging the trip this past week, and get on the flight on Monday, so I will not be able to participate like I usually would. You'll notice I also am not planning to join other games that begin. This being an exceptionally complex game is adding to my low activity, and mistakes like not thinking about the Edema Ruh situation. If I sound like I'm repeating myself, I know I am, but it keeps being mentioned.
  23. I'm gonna have a new nephew in November-ish. That's in addition to a niece within a couple weeks and my own son in July (kids in my extended family always seem to arrive in sets of three).
  24. Ah, good point, I'd forgotten mention of those diseases. Might be particularly bad for Scadrian armies then, or be a neutral disadvantage to both like you said.
