  1. Huh, didn't know that about Ellen Page, but I do maintain that she'd be a poor choice now due to her age (I think you may have been agreeing). I think the biggest trick with Adolin will be trying to mix the Asian/Filipino like features Brandon envisioned with his mostly blond hair, without it looking like rebellious dying of his hair. I don't know who to choose and haven't seen any good suggestions I really liked either.
  2. Sorry, but Ellen Page is waaaaay too old now. Maisie Williams is getting too old, and she looks a lot younger.
  3. I like the few suggestions they have for characters for WoK, but their ideas for Mistborn are kinda ridiculous. Ellen Page as Vin? Ken Watanabe as Dalinar could be awesome though.
  4. Had I won the CR contest and gotten to pick one non-Sanderson game, that would have been a tempting choice myself. Maybe whoever wins next year's picks will choose that, or it'll be allowed since Hero has been planning it for a while.
  5. Ah, ok, that makes more sense. Well, discard all that logic about possible soothers trying to implicate Cluny. That means I'm still a bit suspicious.
  6. I'll probably not be able to do much coherent posting today (another out-of-town doctors appointment will take up most of my day), so this is my chance, though I'm still waking up. I think it's probable that the Elims were trying to confuse us, and help keep themselves from being pegged based on who they chose for a first night kill (some people tend to go for experienced and threatening players, others have sympathy towards those who get eliminated early and will go for other players, etc), or that they messed up with the rollover. That seems fairly unlikely too, honestly, since they would have had plenty of time to decide on a target and they didn't need to wait until rollover, but it's possible. Kudos to Stick, I hadn't thought of that option. As for my vote on Cluny being soothed. I don't know that it's safe for the soother to reveal themselves (though soothing isn't a huge threat to the Elims early, it can be a game changer later when there's fewer people), but if Cluny asked someone to soothe the vote off him, that'd be nice to know. I don't know how likely it is the Elims have a soother (or Mistborn, although that would make the lack of a kill even more baffling if they do), but it's possible they were trying to make Cluny look guilty. After all, he wasn't actually in danger with only two votes on him. That honestly lessens my suspicion of him, though I won't rule out a somewhat inexperienced Elim still soothing a vote off themselves. That's all I've got for now. Some of the Elims were certainly part of the bandwagon on PK, maybe all (since sometimes voting for someone else can make you look suspicious when the bandwagon is that big), but probably 1-2 at least voted for someone else or didn't vote. No ideas at this point for sorting those out right now, though.
  7. I'm not sure of much this game. If you have an Element, we're in big trouble if we lynch you, and yet if there's a tie (which could be a surprise with Pegasus votes), we're guaranteed to lose an Element... it's a tough call, but this is the best way I can see right now.
  8. Yeah, a tie is kinda worst-case scenario right now. She drops to just one vote if I change mine, though, so will you switch back to Hemalurgic Headshot if that's preferable to lynching Brightness Radiant? Sorry, HH, I'm not that suspicious of you, but you're better than the alternatives right now.
  9. The votes on Quiver feel...odd to me, so I'm hesitant to support that lynch. There isn't much logic provided that I can see, just that he "doesn't want to be in this game" or "is spending so much time in the Elim doc he hasn't been keeping up", both of those unsubstantiated. Quiver said he plans to catch up by next cycle, and lynching him now just for activity would be counterproductive to the Crusade. I'd maybe join the lynch on HH, but I can't see voting on Quiver.
  10. You don't want to vote? You don't want to participate, or you don't want anyone suspicious of you because of who you've voted for?
  11. Okay, if I'm correct, the vote tally as it stands now is such (Earth Ponies accounted for in the numbers): HH (1): Alvron, Bridge Boy Ecth (0): HH Quiver (2): PK, Flash crimsn-wolf (0): Brightness Brightness (1): Jondesu Jedal (1): Seonid That's… very dangerous, as Seonid said. I'm not completely convinced that going after an inactive is the best choice, but my current suspicions aren't that strong, and we need to set up a commanding lead to avoid losing Generosity. For now, I'll keep my vote but may choose to join Seonid in pursuing the CC close to the end of the cycle, and I would beg everyone else to please vote! @Darkness Ascendant, @Crimsn-Wolf, @DroughtBringer, @Quiver, @Ornstein, @Jedal, @Ecthelion III, @Conatus, ya'll haven't voted, and some of you haven't posted at all. Please do if you can, especially the voting! @Hemalurgic_Headshot, you retracted your vote from Ecth, but unless I missed it, you didn't place a new one, so that'd be good too. I do hate to say it, but I think three of our remaining Pegasi are inactive, so we have fewer secret votes to worry about most likely, but any of them could conceivably pop in and place that secret vote without even posting in the thread.
  12. Yeah, The Flash is also suspicious, but he's newer than BR. I don't have a baseline established for him yet, but I have a little better read on Brightness at this point.
  13. I'm bowing down to your signature. Wait, your signature can't tell me what to do! 1/10! He means 10/10. Wait, your signature can't just take over my posts and write what it wants…. This post now belongs to StrikerEZ's signature. Jondesu is no more.
  14. Okay, finally got a bit of time. I'm not going to have my usual powers of deduction at hand, for various RL issues that have been explained many times, plus I just put some time into the LG too). Basically, on the reread, something jumped out to me almost immediately: BrightnessRadiant says she and The Flash were told that FM was holding Laughter, right in the beginning of this day's thread. Yet, she never even mentioned in the thread before that FM had claimed anything similar, which while I wouldn't expect her to necessarily come out and say "Frozen Mint said she has the Element of Laughter", she could easily have said that FM had told her something in a PM that would clear her, and that it was convincing, or something like that. By not coming forward until it was too late, it sounds like she's trying to gain trust by being "sorry" that Frozen Mint was kidnapped, but actually likely benefited from it and was glad to see the bandwagon proceeding in such a helpful way for the Changlings.
  15. Ugh, I'm finally getting a bit of time to analyze the threads from last night and today, and…there's so little to actually tell me anything one way or the other. I still think PK was way too vocal Night 0 to likely have been chosen by the Elims to put in the kill, but there's so few other options that make sense that it's hard not to cast the vote. I guess it looks like he's going to be lynched anyways, so instead I'm going to vote with my gut. See, if Orlok had claimed earlier, it would have been pretty obvious to me that he's village and PK is evil. If he'd never claimed, and therefore the Captain who detained PK remained anonymous, I'd be more suspicious of PK. The timing of Orlok's claim could be the result of the Elims creating that strategy in their doc and him enacting it, either as the Captain who detained PK or with one of his Elim buddies actually being the Captain (I've certainly worked with Elim teams where we hid each other's true roles before), but it's still a really bold strategy. I don't see any of those scenarios really working (the ones in which Orlok is evil, to clarify, either with PK being innocent or also evil). Everyone jumping on PK is natural, and the bandwagon in this case doesn't surprise me, but I am going to write down the list of those who have voted and try to keep it in mind for future cycles, because if he's innocent, the Elims probably waited a bit and jumped on the bandwagon at an innocuous-seeming time (a few players in, or late in the bandwagon, just claiming they wanted to avoid vote manipulation, though in this case we don't have to worry about that by now I don't think). If he's an Elim, being bussed is likely, and considering how obvious it was from the start that he was going to get votes, there could be Elims among the first 2-3 people who voted for him, perhaps even the first vote (though since that was Orlok, and I'm having a hard time figuring out how he could be evil in these scenarios, it'd be more likely to be The Flash or cloudjumper, or maybe Stick (the first to vote after Orlok claimed Captain). That won't be relevant until we know PK's alignment, though, so it's just getting possibilities down in a list. Referring back to my earlier list (hey, Stick's there too!), I was trying to see if anyone stood out. Lopen poke-voted Dalinar first thing this cycle (not the first post in the thread, but the first vote, and Lopen's first post), and @Dalinar Kholin doesn't seem to have even logged on in a few days, so he's actually suspect to me if PK isn't Elim, since he might have been assigned to submit the kill and then…just have forgotten or had trouble and wasn't able to. Eh, he last logged in Tuesday evening (my timezone), so that would have been enough time for the Elims to work around his activity, unless he was only in the doc and didn't log in here. Elims also don't tend to be the first to vote on people in a cycle, so Lopen is reading somewhat village for me, especially since he's kept his vote on Dalinar. I guess actually the most suspicious thing for me is Cluny's major edit to his post (in the future, @Cluny the Scourge, don't edit your post if it's going to be a big change, just post again and explain the mistake, because it leads to situations like this), since he changed his vote target fairly significantly, and reasoning. That sounds like a relatively new player (which he is) getting tips in the Elim doc, and coming back here to implement the changes. For now, Cluny the Scourge has my vote, but like any Day 1, it's not with much confidence. I also know he's not going to be lynched this cycle, but I don't see any point in adding to the PK bandwagon now that there's little to no chance of voting shenanigans, and I don't want to vote for someone I genuinely think is village and just unlucky.
  16. At this point, since everyone's voting from relative ignorance and for so many reasons, I doubt we'll get much useful information from his lynch, though of course more than from a random player like an inactive. I dunno, I'd almost rather lynch Orlok except that I do think I believe him, and I don't want to lynch a captain, although since he's outed himself he'll probably be an Elim target (assuming I'm right that he's telling the truth).
  17. Aha. I was responding to the summary of what you said the general argument from the thread was. You said people were saying that the Elims must be new. I was saying it was almost more certainly the opposite (that there were experienced players among the Elims). So I was arguing the "opposite" of what the majority of the other players were saying, at least according to your summary. Hopefully that's as clear as an ash-chocked canal...
  18. Umm, I was agreeing with you. I thought. I was pretty sure you were arguing that the experience level of those kidnaped wasn't going to help us identify the Elims, and I was saying I agreed. I'm wary of the danger of lynching another Element holder, but the alternative is just as bad if not worse, so we have to do our best. Please, though, anyone with an a Element who is up for the lynch, defend yourself strongly!
  19. Yeah, I'd almost argue the opposite. Someone on the Elim team must know that Joe is a potential threat and a good player, but he hadn't been posting enough to draw their attention if they didn't know his rep. Someone who's been playing at least a few games is likely to know that, but more importantly, someone in the Elim team usually ends up being the one the others look to for a decision, or at least the main candidates for things like the Elim kill kidnap. That someone is probably relatively experienced. The problem is there's too many people that could fit that criteria for it to be very helpful. I don't think that the fact that experienced players were kidnapped is going to help us, like you were saying (I think), so we need to look at other things to find suspects. I'll try to comb over the thread later and come up with some suspicions if I can.
  20. Weird, that shouldn't happen. It just pops them up above my text box but keeps everything when I click that, on mobile or the computer. Also, I think I'm dropping the first-person Remart schtick. Sorry to anyone who liked it, but in-game discussion is so much easier as me instead of Remart. Edit: And, ironically, ninja'd by Orlok, albeit without a notification. Orlok, had you said that earlier it'd be less suspicious, though I'm inclined to trust you because I doubt PK was detained by the Elims if they even have a captain. The rules don't say they can't, but balance-wise, that'd make for a pretty powerful Elim team I think, and I'm thinking it's unlikely they do.
  21. Wow. I love no-kill nights, though it always leads to more questions than when there is a kill. For those who might have noticed me reading the thread but not responding until now, btw, I had an out of town doctor's appointment that took up my morning and afternoon, so while I read the thread on mobile, I wasn't in a position to comment. I'm suspicious of PK because of this, but at the same time he's right about having attracted a ton of attention yesterday. I can't see the Elims having him be the one to put in the kill, since they'd have had the choice of having someone less suspicious put it in. I mean, maybe another person with lots of suspicion on them was the only other option they had for some reason, though that seems unlikely, but I think probably what happened is that either there was other more important things the Elims were doing (and I can't really picture them forgoing a kill in favor of implanting spikes or using Allomantic abilities, not for all 4-5 of them) or that they're trying to confuse/mislead us. I mean, getting us all to focus on PK would be awesome for them if he's not an Elim, and while they couldn't have known he'd be detained, they might have assumed they could instead cast suspicion on more inactive players, or those with erratic play styles that might favor skipping a first night kill. With that in mind, I'm thinking possible suspects would be people like Stick, Drake, Meta, Len, or Drought, all people who I could see maybe proposing a strategy like that. Lopen or Dalinar too, for that matter, or maybe HH. The problem is, I don't have any strong suspicions of any of them for any other reason, which is probably because there wasn't a lot of suspicious talk during the night cycle. I'll vote in a little while after I get more time to read back over the thread and see if anything stands out. It might not even be a vote on one of those I mentioned, or I might join in voting on PK, but I'm thinking there's a very low chance of that right now. It just seems too unlikely he would have been the one submitting the kill, and way too lucky for us if so.
  22. Valbar, pipe down, you didn't need to defend yourself, and ain't no one voting to kick you out in the middle of the night anyways. We might string you up on the morn, but no one's got the care to do it at night. Go look out a window or something.
