  1. Adolnasium has spoken. Glad to hear it! I shall keep that in mind.
  2. I attended a Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Clinic, where one of the things they said we had to do was exercise. They said start really small and work up really slowly, but do something. We knew I could handle a stationary bicycle as far as my head goes, so I set a goal of 2(!) minutes. I'm sweating and my heart is racing, while my legs feel like putty. I went at a slow speed, too, albeit with more resistance than I'd like because the bike doesn't work correctly. Still, minimal exercise. For 2 storming minutes. And I felt like I was about to puke. I feel extremely weak.
  3. From what I've seen, there'll almost never be evidence against Araris. He's like a Grey Man.
  4. I couldn't get a reservation at the library in Kharbranth. They were completely booked.
  5. I don't think they'd have a Mistborn, which is why I withdrew my vote on you once Orlok confirmed your story. Of course, if he does turn out to be Venture, all bets are off, but I still don't think he's likely an Elim. @Ecthelion III, I could probably be persuaded to join your suspicions of Meta, but those aren't particularly convincing reasons for it overall. Flash was being very erratic and saying things as if he knew for sure what the Ventures will do. I attribute it to being new and not understanding how some of those things work (claiming in the thread, Elims changing targets because someone says in the thread that they're going to protect someone or that they're sure they'll be attacked, etc). I can see how others might interpret his comments differently (I did, but I've slowly come to understand him, I think).
  6. There's the post where Striker claimed Lurcher (I didn't remember it specifically, but when it was mentioned I thought it was familiar, and since I'm on my computer for once I went and searched the thread). You're right about Cluny's claim being fairly safe at that stage in the game, but I think Striker made a mistake in claiming (way too many people have been claiming in the thread this game) and paid for it, unfortunately. We could have really used a Lurcher who was following his gut or had some trusted contacts, but once outed, that's too important of a role for the Elims to leave in the game. Whoever the Coinshot is, btw, don't even think about claiming. Unless you're absolutely sure, don't even claim in a PM (especially since PMs are limited, and while we got one Elim Courier, we have no way of knowing if there's another, or if a village Courier opened a PM with an Elim at some point). Follow your instincts with your second vial and hopefully more will become available for you. And I agree with you, Elenion, the Elims almost 100% certainly do not have a Coinshot. If they did, we would have seen more kills, as they would have wanted to make sure to use that power in case they were lynched or killed by a village Coinshot and their ability went to waste. Thanks for replying, too, and that does ease my concerns about why you were accusing Cluny (especially knowing you've done that in a game yourself). I don't know that I'm ready to join you in lynching Cluny, but he's been on my list for a little while. Araris, on the other hand, rarely makes it on anyone's suspicion list, but Lopen did mention him as well. Even though it was only gut, I'd still like to take a closer look at his posts. @Ecthelion III, what is it that you'd like to hear from Meta? I think Lopen's reads are all looking into, but I doubt he's going to answer much to just a "what do you have to say for yourself?" post, from what I've seen of him as a player. Also, why not Sart? Why would you skip him? It's like you're trying not to be untruthful, but at the same time not draw attention to him (perhaps a teammate?). Now I'm suspicious of you again, Ecthelion.
  7. Cluny publicly claimed Seeker, though, so Elenion can offer him up as an "obviously the Elims have a Seeker, and he's a Seeker" argument. It's very simple and almost innocuous, but from Len especially it gives me an Elim vibe. Edit: I always get an Elim vibe from Len, though, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt if he can respond and convince me he's a villager.
  8. Suspicious as I have been of Cluny, why in the world would he claim Seeker publicly if the Elims were then going to go after every Misting they could find? That sounds like really questionable logic to me. Elenion, why shouldn't I just believe you're using this as an opportunity to lynch a claimed Misting and save the Elim kill for another target?
  9. Wait, really? Does anyone have a PM that was started by Stick, even if it's not with him? That is odd that no one has corroborated the claim, unless it was just never asked. Admittedly I haven't been paying as much attention as I'd like, which is why I'm just noticing this, but that is odd.
  10. I'm not the one to explain it. I just had it explained to me when I joined after making a similar mistake, and they said if it's over 6 months old, unless you're adding to an existing theory with new info, you should make a new thread. It's in the site rules I believe.
  11. Heads up, you replied to a thread that's from 2015, which is generally frowned on. Just something to keep an eye out for in the future. I'm pretty sure Brandon would have intentionally avoided such religious subtext, since he's been very consciences about that in other books. Perhaps you could interpret it along those lines, but I would be fairly certain Brandon didn't write Calamity to be an angel.
  12. Why, because I voted on you and didn't believe you? I follow genuine suspicions, and I don't hesitate to change my vote as new info comes out (which is what I did).
  13. @Chaos, that was a really cool explanation. I actually am very familiar with the difference, hence the emoji in my post (it was meant to convey the idea of saying something and then sitting back and waiting for the person it was aimed at to think you were serious and passionately explain how wrong you are, which I suppose it kinda did), but that's awesome that you feel so strongly about what you do.
  14. @The Flash, Orlok's post does indeed confirm to me that you're likely a Mistborn, unless you're Elim teammates, but I've had a village read on Orlok since that first detainment, so for now, as I said I might, I'm removing my vote from Flash. That said, I'm still keeping my eye on you, because you could be an Elim Mistborn. The only reason I suspect not is that it'd be unlikely you'd have declined to make a kill with steel, since you should have had two vials of it. By the same logic, however, I think your idea that the Elim team is made up of Coinshots, natural or Hemalurgic, is kinda ridiculous. If they were, they would have started with vials, right? They would have no reason not to "thin the herd" right away. A no-kill night is already odd enough. If they could have blasted everyone with 2-3 kills in the first night, or second night, don't you think they would have? Getting that many people out of the way would seem worth it. I'm going to have to reassess here before I vote again, but I think voting on Orlok for this is kinda ridiculous, and my suspicions of Cluny eased after I reanalyzed that post (that was last cycle, I think?), although I'm still wary. I guess Meta and Ecth are still piquing my interest, mostly by not being that prominent, and I'm not sure what to think about Araris after his exchanges with me in today's thread. He could be a passionate villager, or a manipulative Elim, though they'd have no reason to do anything desperate since we haven't found any of them yet. Also, I am now out of town for a two-day clinic starting in the morning and will have very limited time and attention. Don't expect me to post much, even if you see me reading the thread (that'll just be me skimming it on mobile).
  15. It's possible that's all that's going on, but it doesn't have that feel. I'm not trying to take advantage, unless you mean gaining an advantage for the village, and that should be clear from the fact that I've repeatedly stated my suspicions on Flash throughout the game, long before he was detained and claimed Mistborn. Still hoping @OrlokTsubodai will shed some light on the whole situation. If he confirms Flash is indeed Mistborn, I may remove my vote, since while that doesn't clear him, it would mean he had the opportunity to make kills with steel and didn't, which is unlikely if he's an Elim. I think Flash may be trying to take advantage of the fact that Orlok hasn't been very active, though.
  16. @TMobile @redbox Definitely the Knights of the Old Republic, as long as I'm not in one of those slums. #Thankiversary #Redbox

  17. Wait, you were giving general village vibe? Since when? I think only Lopen said that, and several others (including me) have been saying we're thinking you're a little suspicious. Putting that into your post sounds like trying to make yourself sound already cleared, which just sets off alarm bells to me. Your little back and forth with Cluny is suspicious to me too, as if you're playing off each other and trying to make it obvious that you're not teammates, when you might both be. You know what? I don't believe you. Until Orlok confirms otherwise, I don't even believe you're a Mistborn, and I don't think you're a villager. I think you're a Venture Agent, Flash. Never figured Barry Allen for the traitorous type, but I guess you wouldn't really think you were, just a spy doing his job.
  18. Wow, this makes for quite the turn of events. The Elims continue to be unpredictable, which sucks, and makes things harder for us, but then… Flash, what a reveal. If you're telling the truth, that is a big deal, but you also just painted a target on your back for sure. Except, now you don't have any metals… ugh. I was convinced of Orlok's innocence before, and I still want to be, so I'm going to wait until he posts (hopefully) before I vote, but this detainment is certainly at the very least unlucky. That said, if Orlok didn't know you were Mistborn, Flash, then I don't see any ill intent. I was and still am suspicious of you, though if you genuinely are Mistborn, I agree that it's very unlikely that there would be a Venture Mistborn (though if the others were all Hazekillers, or if there's a smaller than normal team, it's possible Seonid would do that and still keep the game balanced). It's still possible this is another case of a villager detaining another villager, and one of them getting lynched, just like our first day. It's worrying, but I don't know that I think it's more likely that Orlok is Elim than that he simply misjudged you, Flash.
  19. What's the difference?
  20. I'm gonna take a different tact from some of the others, since I've been in your shoes and still am much of the time (you've probably seen me post about the chulldung in my life): I don't know if life is going to get better. I can't tell you it will, because I have no storming way to know. What I do know, and what pulled me back from the brink, is that there are people who will be absolutely rusting crushed if you kill yourself. Torn to pieces, driven to the edge themselves, absolutely destroyed. Because they love you. And they don't want you to die, sure, but they also really don't want you to take your own life, because they want to help you instead. Just because there aren't many in your life, or they aren't acting like it, or they're not close by, don't let yourself believe your death wouldn't be a world-shattering tragedy for those who love you. You matter to someone. You matter to a lot of us here, and you matter to your family even if they act like cremlings. Life will always bring something new. And that new thing might suck too. But your life is important and you can rusting get through this.
  21. Thanks. My play changes from game to game as I learn, but I don't expect you to pick me out as an Elim or Villager based on how I play and post. That's one of the things I've worked on the hardest. Obviously that doesn't help clear me here, but just noting that I think I've been successful in previous games at keeping my playstyle and posts from giving me away when I've been an Elim.
  22. Wrong game with the Skindancers; this game has Venture Agents trying to kill us off. Mind telling me what makes you suspect me? You (or someone else) said that before and never really explained it. That's not only a bit frustrating, but it feels a bit like an Elim trying to just add to suspicion without having to explain why.
  23. Killing an inactive is a bit unusual, especially early. It was probably to keep us from getting info from the kill, but usually they would have gone for someone like Orlok, who had a revealed role, or an experienced player who they think might be a threat. Heck, I was a first night kill once, and I'm not usually seen as that much of a threat. Edit: I suppose that could point to a member of the Contribution Crusade, but it also could have been done to make us suspect those players, so that's an unhelpful IKYK line of logic to follow.
  24. Yeah, that's likely the reason they didn't attack Orlok, plus since he'd detained the wrong person and that person got lynched, maybe they were hoping he could accidentally get someone else lynched or block another villager. He didn't say he had no idea; there was literally no way he could have gotten any solid information. No one could have investigated PK in any way or passed that along to Orlok. He only detained him based on what PK had been saying and doing during Night 0. It could have been an Elim ploy to get a villager lynched, true. However, PK was a likely lynch target anyway, based on how suspicious people were getting during N0, so it seems like it would have been a poor decision to waste the opportunity of a first kill only to try to get someone lynched who might have been anyway. First day lynches usually hit a villager anyway unless we're super lucky (someone has run the percentages, but the odds of hitting an Elim are ridiculously low, although the info it gives us can sometimes offset that risk). I just don't see that being a likely ploy for the Elims to pull. It's possible, of course; I've seen Elims and Villagers try things that turned out to be horrible decisions, but it's unlikely. I dunno, this Elim team seems to be making weird decisions, so maybe they're all inexperienced players or ones who like unorthodox plays, but I still don't think that necessarily fingers Orlok.
