    What if the Shin reclaimed the blade, wrongly continuing to believe the Desolation is coming, or even having been corrupted and wanting it to happen? If the theory that Taln is less Taln because his blade was taken, perhaps it was an intentional sabotage?

    Don't worry, we usually give first-timers a while before they're lynched or murdered, so you'll probably survive at least a few rounds. I survive my entire first game, but I do understand that was fairly lucky and unusual. Most people don't survive most games, of course. I'm officially using Remart for my character. I like using a native, and Awakening would be too weird in this setting I think.

    Only issue is she's too old now. Edit: How about Camren Bicondova (Selena Kyle from Gotham)? She might grow up too much before it happens too, but I could definitely see her as Vin.

    I picked Earth because of the mechanics. I'm bad at PMs, so Unicorn didn't make sense, and I don't really care to cast secret votes, so Pegasus didn't matter to me.

    Thanks, everyone. I'm beginning to come to terms with the idea that I may just have this headache for the rest of my life. A year ago that would have been something I couldn't face, and let's just say it might have made my life a lot shorter if I came to that conclusion then, but now I think I'm in a better place and I can learn to live my life through the pain, even if I can never work again or lead a truly normal life.

    Because he didn't get to force it, Sadeas could claim he understood he meant he was making the challenge then, not setting the date. I was confused by that at first too, but I think Sadeas just squirmed out of the trap on a technicality.

    Schitzo is male, like myself. I'll do another female character at some point (Vell was fun in the other game even though she's currently insane), but not this time. Not sure how much RP I'll include anyway.

    I am so ready to go home. I FaceTimed my family earlier and ended up just crying afterward. This is incredibly depressing and frustrating to repeatedly have absolutely no effect when I take medications or have procedures done, especially when those are causing extra pain. I'm on my 6th IV, I had a spinal tap and several nerve blocks, so I'm sore and have bruises all over... and all for naught.

    Was just told this morning that I'll probably be discharged and sent home early next week (Mon or Tue I assume). That would be good news, except we've found exactly 0 things that have helped the pain. So I'll have spent two weeks here with nothing worthwhile to show for it except to rule out more possible solutions.

    Just used blunt tools to push the design into a copper sheet and then painted it with black acrylic paint.

    I posted this in the gallery too, so I'm sorry if I shouldn't be putting it here too, but I had to show off a bit of artwork I did in the hospital. They gave us copper sheets to work with, and I just pulled up the image I'd made of Nightblood before and went to work. Not quite sure I'm finished or won't try again, but it looks pretty cool.
