  1. I think Hoid using feruchemy to figure out his destinations has appeared in a WoB somewhere even before the confirmation about the bead (which he allegedly didn't actually burn, but it certainly seems like he has the powers anyway). So yeah, he's a fullborn awakener who knows Yolish lightweaving I guess. Quite the resume so far.
  2. Well presumably metalminds store with investiture no matter what you're storing, so you'll have something in there in stupid quantities after a while. Tapping too much of anything seems like a stupid idea though.
  3. It's supposed to have 5 segments that still make coherent thoughts, I believe.
  4. I'd suspect allomancy might not be exactly the thing they were looking for (too simple, plus they were "wrong" at least once), but Spook's bloodline is a key factor in choosing victims. If Marsh thinks that diary is important then it's definitely more about Spook than about allomancy, or else they can just kidnap other allomancer bloodlines.
  5. Investiture cannot be created or destroyed. The investiture of allomancy that is causing the compounding originates from Preservation. You can only keep going until the shard runs dry outright, I would think. And that's a LOT of nicrosil.
  6. The notion that he probably just taps luck and throws darts at a map or something has occurred to people before. It's a bit too funny of an image to maintain in one's mind. We don't talk about it much.
  7. Atium also pays for kandra contracts, mind. Even without mistborn there is reason to buy atium.
  8. Shame we don't have a way to annihilate Curveball's bullets.
  9. He's a less lazy, less manipulative Breeze to me. Sebarial is awesome.
  10. I dunno. Taxes?
  11. Watch the rattles turn out to refer to multiple things each. Just watch. After WoA I can totally see BS doing that.
  12. Adonalsium might not have had much trouble acting at all. The sum of all 16 intents do not necessarily drive him/her/other against doing nothing, because they might not balance out at all. Odium certainly contradicts no known shard in and of itself. Adonalsium could've had perfectly human-like behavior for all we know.
  13. This is when wakefulness Feruchemy comes in handy. Such a convenient power.
  14. I recall the continent just being one big thing in the southern hemisphere and everything else is water. But not sure.
  15. Electrum, Gold, Atium, Malatium. They allow you to "see" shadows of the past or future of yourself or other things, respectively (though the visual nature is probably just how the brain interprets it, like with inquisitors and steellines, since atium users can dodge things they aren't looking at too). You see a problem here? The outside world remains untouched. With physical allomancy, tin and pewter augment your body in various ways, while iron and steel manipulate things other than yourself. Copper is an oddity (though I believe the emotional allomancy resistance only affects the smoker themselves, so I guess the "cloud" can be considered excess power leakage?), but bronze also alters your senses (to detect/identify investiture use). It would make sense for the external temporal metals to manipulate time outside of yourself somehow, but all atium and malatium do is alter your personal perspective of time, regarding external objects. The power affects you, not the world. They're internal like gold and electrum are. That sentence refers to this. And indeed, cadmium and bendalloy were discovered prior to AoL, accelerating and decelerating relative time around you respectively and causing us fans who like to get into physics to scratch our heads to this day.
  16. The recurring theme of vibrations on Roshar (alethi script, cymatics, that strange detail of humming actually improving soulcaster functionality) might support the idea that the rhythms are at least partially realmatically influenced and not entirely artificial.
  17. Technically his intent isn't exactly Harmony. It is to both ruin and preserve. While the shards are superglued together, their intents still function, and being pushed towards both makes it difficult to do anything. I mean, this is Sazed. Mr. "His name shall be discord, yet they shall love him for it"? He's the most meddlesomely rebellious butler in existence. If he could do something he would. Yet Marsh implies he actually no longer believes so, so the intent corruption is probably kicking in and he's here being extremely non-interventional.
  18. Well I'm pretty sure we're getting a second book called Nightblood. I think. With a cliffhanger like that we need another book. But for now let's leave our black shardblade and the rest of Vasher's past a mystery. Minor WoR spoiler maybe?
  19. Syl calls Stormfather her father too. It's not like something like the Nightwatcher would not react to Honor's death. Anyone in the know would realize how terrible that is.
  20. I haven't read WS either, I just can't remember who was who The other two were all for being in the middle of things. Especially Thinker. Who the hell would sign up for that if they didn't?
  21. Well we did have a whole vision dedicated to a Thunderclast tearing itself out of the ground.

    Mistwraith

I . . . don't think even the characters in the books know this though. It's not in there.
  23. When I wrote that I was thinking more about how most Shards we've seen don't really take coherent form all that often, and less about the realmatics >_<There's like, Shardpools, god metal (which lack consciousness and seem to be disconnected, else Ruin would've found the cache a lot faster I reckon), the Mist . . . um, yeah. I doubt Adonalsium just sits there letting people burn him(?). He's probably busy worldhopping, busy investing planets, creating life, what have you. It was a joke reply to a joke question anyway.
  24. Between Thinker, Grump, and Blunt they don't really seem the non-intervening type, considering who they are XD People change after a few centuries I guess.
  25. And yet Eshonai enters stormform just by smashing the gem into the floor to shatter it, and the stormspren is simply released. Presumably it works for their other forms too, since they now seem to exclusively use gems instead of trying to attract the spren in the middle of a highstorm like an idiot.
