  1. . . . not sure why any of the atium alloys should have that capability. Electrum are said to allow for cognitive realm perception at absurdly high amounts of allomantic power in the same WoB, the barrier is just harder to breach. The only atium alloy we've seen literally just projects gold shadows of other people instead of yourself. Nothing uniquely cognitive-tied about it. There's no reason to believe anything but a temporal metal would cause this effect, and it's debatable if gold even could since it wasn't mentioned.
  2. Why would there be interference? If two shards can fit in one person I'm sure two splinters will.
  3. I'd think whether or not someone has been to the planet that's essentially Hell where the incarnation of divine hatred currently resides is an important fact in and of itself.
  4. But Rithmatist became Cosmere as the boon said. The curse doesn't have to have anything to do with the boon whatsoever, that's a known Nightwatcher fact.
  5. Which (along with the essences) is the basis upon which this entire discussion was started, so yeah
  6. . . . it's impossible to miss this, Wax outright deduces that in front of her.
  7. It'd be kinda weird for your girlfriend to be that talking spren superglued to your very soul that people normally can't see. The term Soulmate isn't supposed to be taken literally . . .
  8. Thanks Weiry. Sometimes I walk away and forget which section I'm in. I frequent Cosmere Theories too much . . .
  9. Unless you perceive your true self as having damaged eyes. WoR Spoilers:
  10. Pretty sure they always did that. It came up some years back when someone asked what would happen if you make a bubble on a train.
  11. The Wayne being Wayne chapter again, huh.
  12. Hoid has faked his age before though. Well, more than usual, since he's already older than he looks by a longshot.
  13. *clap clap* Did not see that punchline coming.
  14. When you complain about how fast your new phone's battery depletes compared to your old phone, but then realize "my phone is an honorblade!"
  15. This week really is thread necromancy week huh. Really straining that biochromatic breath budget. But that's quite the contribution in length, and this is a theory thread, so not a problem. I, too, am curious as to the origin of the Terris.
  16. There's implications that the Heralds aren't right in the head anymore though. Especially Nalan. He's not giving the law the respect you'd think he'd give, he's going around finding legal excuses to take out his victims, then pursuing them mercilessly once he has one. That's more exploitation than observance. As if the law is something he's working against. Besides, the end justifying the means might not contradict Justice, but it does contradict the first ideal. Then there's the potential candidate of Shallash destroying artwork of herself.
  17. Szeth clearly has no Breath, as he is not Nalthian. So Nightblood would just in all likelihood consume his spiritweb as its power source, since it's the only thing in Szeth that is made of investiture. Szeth will die in seconds if he didn't infuse himself with stormlight. Also, Szeth is probably only thinking of revenge at this point, and Nightblood still doesn't know what evil is and will simply kill everything he's swung at. I don't see any guarantee of them being a force of good. It wasn't Nightblood that resurrected him, it was likely a regrowth fabrial.
  18. Now all we need is a large enough amount of stormlight.
  19. Well, the stars themselves won't be anywhere near the location you perceive them to be since they are moving. Plus they actually aren't next to each other, if it's like IRL constellations, but just line up as a picture when viewed from one side two-dimensionally. So probably the visible pattern and not the actual one.
  20. Or just the white hair part along with the other features brought up. I'd react too if someone says he met a god once, and the profile and description perfectly matched this guy I've known for years.
  21. Steelsight is probably no more a visual sense than atium shadows are, since Inquisitors lack eyes, and the central nervous system that puts images together is actually in the eyes and not the brain (recognition/perception is a different matter) yet they can perceive both fine. It's likely that the brain normally expresses the senses as visual cues because sight is a familiar sense that's equipped to be able to handle complex information. Meaning brightness actually shouldn't make any difference. It's a conundrum.
  22. There we go. I lost track of which bit of physics caused it. Speed and strength should definitely help.
  23. . . . you're not contradicting me either. Why do people in discussions trying to correct me on things never actually contradict me? I know why he is constantly storing. I'm trying to recall if they really mentioned why he stops at 70%.
  24. But they don't seem to have giraffes yet, so meh.
  25. Actually, doesn't Wax only constantly store as much weight as he does because he can't actually walk properly if he was any lighter? I'm not sure if you can jump that well with just weight alone. With the other powers as well it would work though, I guess.
