Not that there's any known limit to speak of beyond running out of metal and matters of practical physics.

The thing is, I could've sworn that wasn't his real name either. It comes from street slang for "I've been abandoned". Coppermind is saying that his real name is Jedal, like his father. He just hates it enough to rather live as that abandoned kid. And yeah, that's what I meant. Spook doesn't work as a noble's name. But with the number of people apparently in his line and him apparently having a lot of kids, did he even have a single house?

Except I'm pretty sure the lerasium-enhancing allomancy thing has been specifically described as burning.

I believe that might be Spook's idea. Says in AoL that while Harmony drew up the plans, the Lord Mistborn was the one who named Elendel. He might be responsible for the rest of the conspicuous names. Chapter 10, I think. Speaking of Spook, I see he decided to go back to being Lestibournes for official purposes. Lord Spook would be too hard to take seriously.

Even a pinch of something results in drastically different properties in alloy, so we can't really go off of aluminum content directly without confirmation by WoB that it works that way. I personally doubt it's that simple.
-
Well, if a sword works then a knife can perform hemalurgy too.
-
Half the point of AoL was basically the exact same conflict as TFE from the opposite perspective (and a different side winning) so yeah, Kelsier is the type. Miles' goldminds pierced his skin yes? And he seemed to have one hidden inside him left during his execution. Might be in an organ.

Relatively speaking at least. I think we'd have a bunch of people who just lurk that probably don't fit in that category . . .
-
Maybe the first document addressed to Spook that had "I am, unfortunately, the Hero of Ages" in it was the epigraph and more of a personal message, while the other pile of books in the grass was the publicly known Words of Founding?
-
If it's in the book, and the Inquisitors didn't do that . . . did Spook test it? Disturbing thought.

Gah! Was about to go to bed. Must. Read.

I would think, statistically speaking, that it was almost certain that someone here has a Masters. Probably not many, but I wouldn't be convinced there wasn't at least one even before Twi mentioned it.

They don't have much anatomy to speak of really. Though I recall when TenSoon escaped and retrieved OreSeur's spikes, he deconstructed some of his wolfhound organs so that he can reform them in an impaled state. Wonder how the bind points work for a mass of amorphous muscles . . .

Is Szeth's Shardblade the equivalent of a spren? [Warbreaker Spoilers]
natc replied to Plaeggs's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Kinda a useless surge when it seems to be his base shardblade functionality.- 13 replies

When your entire species was created by two supernatural forces that originally were humans from a world that probably did have a moon, months existing is the least of your oddities.
-
Meh. Do whatever you want

Simce Bands of Mourning will eventually be released, I'd imagine the bracers will probably be somewhere actually reachable. So for once, probably not Hoid's fault. Not that Marsh would need them either. They were sold off right after TFE.

I do believe pewterarms and bloodmakers can drink indefinitely and still be sober as well. At least until they turn off their powers.

Mistborn spoilers? Yeah, Honor probably isn't all that honorable. Not like Odium has a self-loathing complex either. Endowment spends their time giving other people his/her stuff instead of pampering themselves. Honor can totally have the Amaram mentality for all we know.

Nobody really seemed to object to the theory of Dalinar doing it either despite seeing nothing, so I'm somewhat suspicious as to whether anyone was even looking at that wall in the first place. I'm not saying Renarin can't surgebind, but he really doesn't need to do much of it for this. Just checking in on his father tied to the chair or whatever speaking in ancient languages is something nobody would give a second thought to, never mind mention.

Alloy of Law's "cosmic help" wasn't really all that phenomenal tbh. He didn't really do anything beyond aligning a fairly uncanny number of coincidences.

Besides risk of personality corruption from the shards (which seems to have already started quite a while ago. Sazed, not meddling? Surely you jest!) I don't think there's much reason that he can't hold it indefinitely. Ati and Leras lasted Adonalsium knows how long, and Sazed's only had 300 years.
-
Why would it not though? There's no evidence against it, really. You can move everything inside a bubble from people to bullets to trains, but it doesn't get pulled out of the planet no matter what. The very fact that metal is the basis of magic here is entirely due to Scadrial, and if the shards picked a different spot in the galaxy we'd probably have something completely different. Location always matters in the way magic systems are constructed, Sel just has the weirdness of usage being tied to location as well.
-
Compounding made allomancy act very differently, but the feruchemical metalmind itself behaves exactly how it always would, and requires tapping.
-
The anchor is spiritually connected to Scadrial like gravitational acceleration is, IIRC, and presumably it should be possible to decouple it and point it elsewhere somehow. Not that anybody probably knows how.
