Speaking of, you don't need to be actively burning atium to maintain your age. You're supposed to burn once in a while for that massive uncontrollable burst, then store the excess immediately. TLR can definitely burn atium. Plus he can probably hyper-push Obliteration's glasses through his head or something.

Anyone know a good image for memes about We'll need one soon, I think. Edit: You make a good point. There.

Who Are The Most Powerful People/Beings In The Cosmere?
natc replied to Patar's topic in Cosmere Discussion
We're saying that even if you can give him all those powers, if a new metal is introduced into the system a fullborn would already be able to burn it or store in it, while an Inquisitor would have to make more spikes to compensate. It is physically impossible to keep up as an Inquisitor in terms of variety. -
I'm not saying you're wrong, actually. But that explanation of yours could . . . use a little work in the vagueness department. If you had added what you just said in the original paragraph that would be perfect, though.

I wonder. Since Ruin is part of Harmony the usual spikes don't repel mist anymore, but would this mysterious metal as a spike cause the mist repulsion due to being of another shard? (If it is indeed formed from god metal)

Not much point remembering WoBs about it when you've got the fact that koloss are literally made from 5 people, so their spikes would be human strength.
-
Now why would you just go and assume like that? :3
-
That's . . . not how metal works. If they aren't actually alloyed together then it basically isn't a "trellium" spike, just a spike stuck to trellium. If it is alloyed together it'd do something completely different from both. At that point it wouldn't be trellium.

Yeah, that's where I recognized the name Bin from! The wedding discussion . . . *slaps self for forgetfulness*
-
Kandra are humans modified into blobs outright and then spiked. Koloss are (were, at least) just humans spiked way too much for their own good with strength.

We're not talking about allomancy though. You don't need a mental upgrade for making yourself younger . . .Though it's clear that steelrunners don't ever crash into walls or anything, reflexes aren't exactly a conscious phenomenon.

When you've ascended to godhood you're forced to see the bigger picture, really. And letting two people have their freedom while millions burn in hell because nobody came to save them really isn't maximizing free will all that well. Plus, he never actually threatened anyone, so not sure what Tremaine is going on about. And I'm not sure someone who spent the whole book merely reacting to a problem he proved to know little about can really be scene as the real puppet master here.

NEW HOID SCENE + ARS ARCANUM!!! (Elantris 10th anniversary)
natc replied to Sirscott13's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
We're spoiler tagging Elantris in its own forum due to an update. Fun. -
He doesn't though. Wax barely gave Spook a passing mention. He settled on Breeze immediately, and good ol' "Edgard Ladrian" was as much a manipulative con man as they come. Nice one, but still. Every painting we get has him with his cup seemingly going at his old game of convincing someone to refill his drink. As his uncle points out, if Wax met the crew he'd probably have them all shot or executed.

Shoving what you get from the burn is what is usually accepted as how it is done though. Or else Miles will have to actually stop healing, and Rashek would've been dead long ago. The woman who is presumably Winsting's killer matches Idashwy's profile relatively well. Yet her corpse is intact. Paalm seems to not like rushed jobs, using actual bones throughout even when she doesn't intend to expose her appearance. She can maybe look convincing with an improvised form, but she doesn't sound like the type to do that. On top of that, the main evidence against Idashwy being the killer is her personality as known by others, but judging from what she said before leaving she was likely visited by Paalm and spiked with something like the other decoys, so her mind was likely already compromised.

I'd say Well of Ascension really wasn't all that close to happy in the slightest. What with doing all that work trying to hold a democracy together only to unleash destruction incarnate and end up sending Elend's own ideals to commit suicide to ensure the world at least lives another day.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
natc replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Technically, the Nightwatcher doesn't have to listen to what you ask for anyway. She gives you what you deserve, not what you ask for. The request just gives her something to go on. Plus, you failed to properly define "As". -
Could've sworn there was a WoB that you can sorta feasibly figure out some kind of method to spike the feruchemy out of a gold compounder and they'd still be able able to heal it back by burning. Not sure.

In hindsight, the person most likely to be able to plant someone at Winsting's gathering was the governer. Should've seen it. He's been making the riots worse the whole time. The Lessie thing . . . well, I had a hunch. She calls him Wax even when out of character, as if she was familiar with him initially, and mostly tries to distract him instead of eliminating him directly. She reads him way too well, and when she was busted at Innate's room she said he "always" sees too far. Paalm must've been someone close to him before, only friends and family speak this way. Plus we had a Lessie prologue that did not seem to tell us anything important relating to the case, or so we thought. Kinda was in denial until the end though.
-
Paalm says she could never "be" Lessie, but always wanted to be. My interpretation is that she's been bouncing around false personas all her life, but this time in meeting Wax she finally slipped up and found herself unable to abandon the character.

He got himself hired as the new coachman first in case, but was about to go grab a drink when he was called in sooner than expected.

I believe anyone can use breath actually. Normal people just don't have a detachable one at birth, like Nalthians. If you can find donors you'll be fine.
-
But that's exactly how compounding works. Burning derives allomantic power from Preservation. Burning a metalmind alters the power to provide a feruchemical trait instead of the normal power, but the source is still Preservation. After that, any smart man will store all of that power into a storage metalmind, because Rusts, you don't need that much power now of all times!

Yeah. Not like there can only be one somewhat blasphemous family in the world. That's almost a statistical impossibility.
