  1. Unless this has been his basic thought process. "K, there are ten shardworlds (because I say so). Now I just have to come up with enough magics to populate all shardworlds with."
  2. Huh. I thought he was saying he couldn't do it... yet . I'll go and re-read it. EDIT: It's the first paragraph of the letter. I took the bolded part to mean that eventually he'll be able to resurrect people. I guess it could be that he was meaning that he'll eventually understand what he can and can't do (which includes not being able to resurrect). EDIT2: I have a feeling that I had this thread up awhile before I finally posted, otherwise I prolly would have seen the above post. (or both posts happened at the same time with a difference of a few seconds)
  3. Wax and Wayne are a side project. They don't count as the second trilogy. Now, on to why I really made this post. . . Spoilers (maybe ) Did Sazed not say at the end of book 3 that he can rebuild Vin and Elend (and Kelsier) after he learns his powers better? I'm almost positive that I read that.
  4. They'd just lash their whole selves in whatever direction they want to go (so almost basically what you're saying, just minus a step). And then to slow down they'd lash part of their selves behind them.
  5. I searched "typo" in the search and I didn't see any typo threads besides the alloy of law. I was reading through WoA and it says this when Vin is testing duralumin for the first time. And then in chapter 5 of HoA I guess it could be passed off that they learned that electrum will counter atium when they "learned about electrum", but I still feel it should be fixed. NOTE: It could already be fixed in a later version of the book. I don't know.
  6. Well.... one has to be at least kinda devoted to learning all the things to be able to learn all the things . There's probably many things wrong with the mastery idea
  7. I'm almost positive that one the many quotes I've read in here said that Lerasium making allomancers is a side effect. I'll try to find it. EDIT: I didn't search for very long, so I didn't find a quote, but this is what I read that said side effect. Hello ;D
  8. I'd have problems shaking a lifeless at anything, so that adds up to at least one spoiler.
  9. GAZ IS A HERALD!!!!!!!!!!!! jk
  10. I was talking about how the power is accessed once your able to use it... I think I had three other things, then I saw mastery and I was like "0.0, OOoooOOo", so.... yeah.
  11. I don't know exactly where you're coming from, because I thought "power" and now I can't think of anything else . This is what I would do: all three powers come from dor + The power on Aondor comes from mastery of learning/art/something to do with forcing yourself to learn things. The power of Dakhor comes from sacrifice/chants/we don't know for sure (mastery of others?) The power of Chayshan comes from self-mastery
  12. Vin was brand-new and she was able to kill ruin (although she died in the process). It was a power vs power and since they were equal they both died. harmony has a whole shard more than odium (most likely). If odium comes along, Sazed can turn it into a power vs power and win.
  13. The reason feruchemists get they're stuff back is because preservation was a part of it. Chayshan can be balanced and not get any energy back.
  14. Maybe somewhere in the annotations then?
  15. I'm pretty sure I've read a quote where Brandon talks about an Aon with random dots in it. I don't know if it's Rii though. Have you searched through the database?
  16. This Aon article needs fixing. I don't know how to get rid of the picture there and put this one in . and I'm pretty sure that the curve = coast and top = mountains, but I might be wrong so I didn't fix it.
  17. Where did it say the merchant got a huge profit? All I remember is the merchant saying he wished he hadn't sold Szeth.
  18. Later on I came to the part where Breeze soothed hunger. first recruitment speech when breeze teaches vin. he probably soothed the importance of hunger too.
  19. So... was Kelsier just saying things about spikes 'cause he could, or was it a possible cosmere clue that hemalurgy might be able to bring back the dead? EDIT: or something along those lines...
  20. Yep that was the quote. and for the edited in quote there's this paragraph above it That's an origin myth that may be based completely on fact, but we don't know, so we can't really use it to prove anything. EDIT: When I get myself a wife (), and if she likes to read (probable), I seriously want to get her an Aon Omi pendant (I HAVE to put something in parenthesis here ).
  21. The energy is being taken from the power of creation. there's no "additive" in it.
  22. Taravangian would make Szeth work as a slave in his castle-cave-thing if he wanted Szeth to disappear. And I don't think his goal is to go and steal Alethkar behind the backs of the high princes (since it wouldn't work anyway... it's all nice and fine to go campaign for revenge, but the campaign's gonna end if your home is being taken). and like I said, Taravangian would have had people following Szeth, since he'd lead to the oathstone. and since you brought it up, he'd also have people following the parshendi, since they had the oathstone. From what I can figure, it's very very very improbable that Taravangian had anything to do with Szeth's part in the assassination. There's only a chance (I think the chance is very small) that he was part of the assassination at all. He more likely learned how the assassination went down later on.
  23. the soulcaster (or at least half of it) would fall out of whatever pocket it was in when it got cut because the pocket would have also gotten cut, if the soulcaster was cut by a shardblade. If the soulcaster was cut by a shardblade then the only explanation for it to be found in a pocket is if it was put there (unless you want to count the possibility that the blade became ninja for long enough to slip into the pocket and cut the soulcaster without cutting the pocket )
  24. I'm pretty sure Brandon said that Elantrians looked normal before Elantris, but for some reason the important quotes aren't in the database . Elantris gave them more spirit... which made them glow ... And the zombie-Shaod-thing happened because Elantris was trying to give them more spirit (by changing them, just like with the failed healing), but it failed. HaHaaa, that counts as symbol/form (although I think we already established that it was some kind of symbol/form) And I like that second line I quoted.
  25. Is that not basically what I said?
