I've been reading Alcatraz for the past several days and I came across this. I thought it was pretty funny. I read past it then went back 'cause the name sounded familiar. Alcatraz is saying the bad things his mom has done. I don't exactly know where it was, since I just barely searched for the quote on the internet, and the person who put it in dragonmount forums didn't say where.

I know for guaranteed I read Brandon saying that TLR really made nobles to be the leaders (taller, smarter, handsomer(maybe)) and skaa to be the workers (shorter, stouter). By the time of mistborn there had been plenty of interbreeding so everyone was basically the same. I believe it was in the annotations, but it's not worth it to me to go search through all of them. EDIT: apparently it was in one of the epigraphs.

I would totally donate my abilities to my family if I was basically dead (as long as I was put to sleep first).

The Emperor's Soul *Elantris Spoilers*
Triasmus replied to Windrunner's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
he meant attack as in "offensive war". Elantrians have to stay "close" to Elantris to be able to do much. Elantrians are what stopped Fjordell from trying to conquer arelon and teod (and others?) in the first place. -

Reading this is what made me decide that Zane wasn't insane in the first place.
-
I'm pretty sure the annotations said that Zane became mentally unstable because ruin was talking to him, but he wasn't at first.

Mistborn: Desaturation (filling bendalloy with water [i'm pretty sure that's allowed. . . minus the "actually" storing water ])

aren't there a couple hundred bind points? You could probably stick a spike pretty much anywhere and hit a bind point. The question is does that spot actually do anything with the spike that you just put there?.
-
When Penrod got the spike through his heart, there was something that implied to me that if the spike is hemalurgically charged it will reorganize the area it's pushed into so that it'll be fine there, no matter if it's placed in a correct spot to give a power. and since it's in there, ruin will have a way through your spiritual defenses. I think that thinking partly came from Marsh(?) saying that ruin didn't care if it gave a power, he just wanted a way in.
-
That doesn't have anything to do with hemalurgy. Yomen's an atium misting.

Theory on why Vin avioded Hoid *Minor spoilers for WoK*
Triasmus replied to Nesh's topic in Cosmere Discussion
He's probably on all the planets all the time (well... except when he's on the other planets ). We just happen to have more mistborn books . -
I'm almost 99% sure that Sazed writes in one of the epigraphs that's it's ironic that the human attribute spikes deform other humans while making kandra, who are "animals", more human. Huh. Would a Cat Inquisitor with human attribute spikes be Human-ish?
-
I'd think that the Oaths would be more important than the names of the orders.
-
I don't think Harmony counts as something we can go and look at definitions of and find out something important for exactly why Brandon named Sazed Harmony. I've always taken it as the people just decided to call Sazed Harmony because they didn't want to go about saying "Sazed" or "Ruin/Preservation". They just decided to call him Harmony because the Ruin half and the Preservation half are working in harmony under the direction of Sazed's consciousness. Harmony is just a name given to the mix of Ruin and Preservation.

One thug stabbed the sword through the heart of another thug to try to kill spook. Vin's mom killed her sister with the earring, then put the earring into Vin's ear (which means that her sister would/have been a seeker if she snapped). Wax's earring is apparently part of a melted down inquisitor spike. I don't think we know what it does, if anything. There's some theories though. For all we know (I think) it might be trying to splice whatever power onto the wrong part of the body, so it does nothing besides opening a hole in the spiritweb through which Harmony can talk to Wax.

Well that's sad. In the twinborn combos thread electrum/zinc is in the OP. and I managed to not see the "error in well of ascension" thread several threads down. I could have just posted this thread in there .

Why would burning anything make you a feruchemist? Lerasium: makes one who burns it awesomely powerful (compared to other allomancers who only inherited) Atium: can steal anything Harmonium (fine... I edited it): Can store any attribute? It might do awesome things for the other metallic arts, but anything it does in relation to a feruchemist, a feruchemist would have to be able to do. If it makes someone a feruchemist, it'd be by that person coming in contact with it or trying to store something in it (since that's how feruchemists work with metal). It wouldn't (well... shouldn't) make somebody using allomancy into a feruchemist.
-
meh... typo is close enough to inconsistency a zinc metalmind would be make it a lot easier.

She said that gold's alloy has marginal usefulness. She has to know what it is before she can know how useful it is. And I was just thinking, Electrum could be fairly useful. It shows your possible futures, so you could be looking at your futures and see one get stabbed and be like "well... that one got stabbed, so I'm not gonna act it out". It would be more useful with zinc feruchemy though, which wouldn't help Vin (if zinc is thought speed).
-
In the first quote the two bolds are meant to "connect" in your mind the implication that she knows what the alloy of gold is. To me the second quote makes it sound like they found out about gold's alloy from the cache, instead of finding out that gold's alloy is useful to combat atium from the cache.

The Wii U control has all the buttons an xbox or ps3 control has, plus an HD touchscreen in the middle and an accelerometer inside (Well. . . I'm almost pretty sure that it has an accelerometer). EDIT: but only one wii u controller can be used per wii u (last I heard, which was a long time ago). The wii u can use the new control + 4 old controls at once

I haven't gotten to the part where Marsh stabs Penrod (I don't even remember it from my first read-through). From what I remember, Marsh could barely make his own movements without Ruin stopping him. Unless a quote can be provided, I'm gonna assume that Ruin was controlling Marsh when he stabbed Penrod. And I'm under the assumption that Ruin made a crazy person even crazier (vin's mom) and at the same time imparted knowledge on how/forced her to kill vin's sister in the way to get the hemalurgic earring (probably because Vin's mother was somehow spiked [and for all we know, Vin could have spikings in her family line all the way to the Lord Ruler's ascension]).
-
So to fly he'd lash his whole self towards whatever direction he wanted to go then when he got closer he'd make adjustments (like how one would fly a plane without having a compass). I have a feeling that Szeth finds it easier to think "Lash to that wall" instead of "Lash in the direction of that wall". "That wall" really has nothing to do with his lashings, since he'd have to be touching "that wall" for "that wall" to have an effect on his lashings.

The Fate of Tanavast and the Shard of Honor
Triasmus replied to Shardbinder 17's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think that's a pretty good theory. I don't know if I can espouse it yet, but it's close. I'd have to compare it to the other theories that pertain to what happened to Honor, but I don't feel like doing that.
