  1. I BRING YOU A STORM OF CLEANSING. IT WILL CARRY AWAY YOUR CORPSES. THIS IS ALL I CAN DO.Least flexible magic system ever.
  2. You say other soecies have their own kinds of magic. Do people from Aemundi have their kind of magic then? Can you tell more about those spirits? Where do they live, how do they interact with mortals, and what are the specific workings of contracts with them?
  3. Yes, Marasi.
  4. I think someone did post something about how before WoR came they imagined Szeth would sail to the Shattered Plains in disguise on the Wind's Pleasure, and a relationship between him and Shallan would slowly form, leading him to question his beliefs and eventualy redeem himself. But then, at the time everyone only though about Shallarin, and we all know how that turned out.
  5. Honestly, I'd hate if any of the two ended up with her. Kaladin's attraction to her, and hers to him, seem very forced by the author to me, like some paragraphs awkwardly inserted to sement a love triangle. And Adolin's infatuation with her looks so superficial, corporal and even bland on a platonic level to me. In my opinion, the triangle should be splintered as soon as possible so more interesting relationships may take place.
  6. Yay! One of my favorite ships, together with Renarin+Marasi.edit: I may or may not be serious. It is funny either way.
  7. And I completely misunderstood you? Sorry.
  8. No. Wax and Steris were the closest so far.
  9. That is my point. The fact he would rather kill people in their sleeps is meaningless to the question of who would win in a fight.
  10. But the gem must contain stormlight at first, for the bond to form, right? That is what I remember, at least.
  11. Not fighting fair is overrated. And Kaladin can fight dirty. If you drop both in a empty street, ready to kill, then I don't see Kelsier managing to turn it into an assassination atempt instead of a duel.
  12. You expected it to not make sense? It could also explain why the Everstorm is something new: the Heralds could syphon power from Odium while on Braize, but with only a single stubborn Herald and Odium deciding to wait and prepare, the power started to build up during those 4500 Rosharan years, and now it was released as the Everstorm. That is my theory, at least. It has holes, though, like why Honor sent the Heralds instead of sending just the Honorblades, or why does Nin think the Knights Radiant cause desolstions.
  13. There is also a WoB saying Frost isn't a worldhopper, and saying he and Saze and tied for most cosmere-aware non-worldhopper.And Khriss is the most cosmere aware character in the whole cosmere, followed by Nazh and Hoid, yet she didn't know the location of Yolen by the time of M:SH, so it just means everyone has incomplete knowledge.
  14. Getting warmer...
  15. @Voidus: sorry, I keep my promises. And Honorspren did that one joke before.
  16. For having annoying brothers. ps: if anyone posts anything based on my username, current or previous, I won't hold the red arrows back.
  17. But it is simple. So stupidly simple it can wrap upon itself and become hard because of lack of well-defined rules.
  18. Angered the shardwraiths
  19. No. I'll give you a hint: It is a human.
  20. I find Wayne annoying, dislike his strong(for Brandon's books) language(and I've heard much stronger language in real life, so don't come saying I dislike it because I am not as worldly as you Wayne lovers), consider his humor tiring, and think he has been getting less interesting as the books go on. But he can be fun sometimes, is very unusual in a partialy good way, provides a balance for Wax's more brutal and direct Roughs' lawkeeping and Marasi's insecurity, and is still interesting enough to be worth keeping as a PoV character. I just think a few aspects of him should be toned down. Unlike Melaan, whom I find completely uninteresting, boring and flat compared to other characters. Which is quite bad, since in SoS she made a relatively good first impression. But then, VenDell looked like a very interesting character I would read more about, so my opinions are bound to be strange.
  21. I also think they are not simply a different grouo of kandra. The red eyes seem to indicate something more closely connected to the spiritual or cognitive realm, and the way Edwarn supposed the one who spoke to him had taken the body of a beggar, thinking taken instead of eaten do imply a demonic possession of sorts. And if they are svrakiss, them being believed to be evil ghosts links well with the reference to Edwarn being allowed to serve in other Realm. Edwarn just being killed like that? I'd rather believe they considered him useful enough to be promoted.
