  1. I, for one, felt bad for Ati when Kelsier gave him a goodbye punch. As for funny moments, the only one I can think of is when Kel tried to recruit Leras, cause a ghost needs a ghost crew.
  2. The purpose between his study of hemalurgy and possible ressurection, as far as I understood, was to learn the secrets of the cosmere and stop further menaces to Scadrial. It is his planet after all.All the work of his lifetime on the Physical Realm was actualy ploted by a god of destruction and resulted in the end of the world. He now knows there is much in the Cosmere he doens't understand, and feels it is his duty to seek answers so what happened does not happen again. While tempting Spook to use hemalurgy is dark indeed, I can understand his reasons.
  3. Rashek was never very heroic. While he did protect the world, for me it always looked like he stoped truly caring long ago, and kept things as they were because that was what he was used to doing.
  4. What.I mean, you are certainly picking at straws here. We have seem Ym for a total of one scene before he was killed, and Renarin revealed himself, becoming a "on-screen" Radiant much later. So far there has only been one on-screen living Knight per Order.
  5. wut Edit: That was ninjaed. I was replying to Stink
  6. That sounds unlikely, since only prescience is explicitely said to be of Odium.
  7. Nice catch, Skaa, although right now the mathematical meanings may be more significant, since according to Suit the Series put great value on technological superiority and the red-eyed immortal who spoke to him had a very technical pattern of speech.
  8. Acidental downvote. Can someone fix?
  9. What is he so afraid off? Well, how about the fact he had little idea he was a Radiant, and has visions of the future he was always told were of the Voidbringers. He was an anomaly for all his life, he does not want to be an aberration as well.Plus, he does not seen specially devoted to Kaladin like the Bridgemen are. That means he is most likely not an squire. There are bound to be more Knights of each Order as the books go on. Who is to say Nale didn't sucessfully kill Lightweavers or Edgedancers in the past, or that the Truthwatcher spren are more willing to bond because they predicted the inevitability of the True Desolation?Plus, some spren are better at hiding. The fact we didn't see Glys is irrelevant.
  10. Or they wanted to capture him. Nobody said all poisons kill instantly.
  11. Mraize thinks Taravangian is an old fool, and the Diagrammists seem to be unaware he is only an apprentice to Iyatil, so I'd say that even if they are working together, which I doubt, since Mr.T didn't seen to be helping them kill Jasnah, they aren't the same group.
  12. We don't know if he can see them all. For exemple, he never spotted Glys. Although, if Ym's spren is any indication, it may be because Truthwatcher sprens are very afraid of being noticed..
  13. Perhaps, as others have suggested, the Sunmaker was influenced by Odium and denounced prescience because Odium predicted that visions coming from the Stormfather and Cultivation could get in his way. Making the people you want to destroy hate their saviors by implying they are linked to you: sounds like the kind of plot the God of Hatred would enjoy putting in motion.
  14. For appearing like a lightning, spreading like a wildfire, and quickly outposting all regulars on the shard. Oh, and vampire mistwraiths. Somehow.
  15. But it would let you see what most futures have in common, making you able to know the most likely outcome.
  16. Unless he had feruchemical zinc. An inhumanly fast mind could possibly extract some information from the images.
  17. While I am unsure about the "sparing Marsh" part, what you say is indeed what happened. In Brandon's own words, he saw his place in Preservation's plan.
  18. SPOILERS BIG ONES
  19. Honestly, BoM is as spoilery to SH as SH is to BoM. No matter which you read first, there will be spoilers.
  20. Now, that is not what I meant. I mean, that kind of humor is wayyy too MeLaan.I would like a less... bodly approach, like Glys being completely confused by why Renarin doens't follow his suggestion to wear a dress so he could conceal spheres in his safepouch. Poor Renarin, struck by weird visions and stuck to weird spren
  21. Kinda makes me want Glys to be our first gender-fluid spren, just to see how it messes with Renarin's fixation on fufilling the expectations dictated by vorinism's very rigid view of what defines each gender. It could also be all kinds of funny to see Glys try to grasp how humans generally think, much like Pattern's "Terrible destruction!".
  22. Yes, the pattern extends to non-vorin Radiants, but even more egualitarian peoples may still put great stock upon the idea of idea male-female duality. However, due to the very peculiar characteristics associated with each gender in vorin culture, Renarin may subcounciously see himself as the female part of this specific pairing, or at least that a male spren "balances" him better.
  23. My favorite theory on the subject is that the bond is easier to form if the Knight subcounciously sees the spren as someone who complements them on multiple levels. The heavy fixation of vorinism on gender duality makes it so our Knights, most of whom come from vorin culture, bond opposite gendered spren. Renarin is an exception because he sees himself as failing to be a proper alethi male, since everyone in his family wished he was a "genderless" ardent because his talents, attributes and maybe even behavior are seem as too feminine.
  24. If it is the WoB I am thinking about, it was actualy a non-answer saying there is something going on, but not what. Although I do hope it is not something as superficial as everyone(minus Dalinar, as far as we know ) getting a spren of the sex they feel attracted to.
