I didn’t even realize they were different until hearing podcasts and the forums. From a reading perspectives I saw the first few letters and was like “Yep, I know those names.” I’m sure it sticks out in audio form though.

He killed her for knowing the commands to make Nightblood. We know he leaked the commands to Vivenna because she has an awakened sword in Oathbringer.

We're not sure that's the case. It could be the other Scholar they were hunting made it and she simply got it from him either by trade or murder. Nightblood is clear evidence that anyone can wield awakened weapons.

This is again unrelated and just to make sure the mods don't delete the convo.

*cough* Oathbringer.

What do you mean?

Also, this is unrelated and just to make sure the mods don't remove the convo.

Brandon, you said we'd know by the end of Oathbringer what Gavilar's black spheres were, but we still don't know what they are. What are they?

Brandon Sanderson

People have guessed very correctly about this, so I think I am justified in saying that. Voidlight will become an increasingly important part of the story as things progress. I think there are two main theories on what Gavilar's spheres are, and I think they are both very valid theories supported by the books... I'm not pulling something very sneaky. It is along the lines that you are theorizing.

mmmm... lies

Also, how is there no simple image of pattern with the words "Mmmm... lies" on top?

Well one was voidlight, which was a major theory. In fact, many of Gavilar's spheres were probably voidlight. It's just that we assumed that Szeth's sphere was the same as Eshonai's, which turned out not to be the case.

I keep wanting to make some sort of "everything he touches turns to gold" joke about Renarin due to how his powers reacted to Moash, but I can't think of the right wording.

Half the 17th Shard: This was the most horrifying scene in the book.

The other half of the shard: Syladdin is back on, ya'll.

No offense to anyone

Offence taken, I was much more concerned with Toadium

Edit: Oh no, I missed the typo. I don't think I can change it now, so "BBEF" it is.
