It should in theory. It is a mortal spell that can be performed by anyone. Have proper intent prepare for the energy drain, but have at it.

"I'll ask her. Vapor, what exactly is happening?" "T has force fields up everywhere and Eric is fighting with the holed. I might need some help. I don't really have stuff to fight with." Spin relayed this to the group and looked to Fadran. "Was that enough?"

T thinks back to the last time she refused the deal. What was it that Nathrangking said? "Oresus Naales Rutz," she says, hoping that it will work, hoping that it will turn her into a pillar of light. When Nathrangking cast a similar spell, he ended up drained. I'd better expect that.

Let's just say that either all the tampering with soulstamps has rendered my mind impervious to anything else. Either that, or I made a new soulstamp that makes it so that I was tampered with by people from this system so its impervious.

"What if I say no?" T places fields between herself and the oranges holding Vapor and Eric. She starts running away from the oranges, keeping an eye out. If an orange starts running towards her, she'll place a field in its path to try to trip it.

The holed's eyes flash blue, and a familiar pressure grips T's mind. Blue thrall-rings appear in her eyes.

"I regret to inform you," he said, "that is not an option."

Eric knocks his head back into the holed's. "C'mon!"

The holed's eyes flash orange as he takes control, forcing Eric to stop fighting.

Can my plan move forward or shall we pretend that I never made that post?

It works. Or, at least, it appears to work. Nothing in the magic system actually prohibits it, and if it went undetected it would almost certainly succeed.

In reality, it wouldn't be that hard for Aridith to discover what you'd done- he can just use the power of the blues he has under control to know exactly what escape plans Baalhan is making. He doesn't really mind- except that he doesn't want Baalhan to actually be released, because that would likely result in the destruction of the entire Outpost.

Well then it's time to begin and take it from there. Aridith may learn the truth, but then killing me is not that easy you know. I await Santonio.

I'm assuming you retconned the post below as taking place after the blue holed would have enthralled T. If not, I was going to post what happened.

“Enter, we might not have enough time for a spaceship. Keep working in it, though. Queen, we’re really gonna need some enhancement magic soon... I’m going to go see if I can find them. Spin, can you lead the way?”

"What sort of enhancement magic do we need? I might be able to help some" Truth says, looking at Fadran.

“Anything that will make a portal work faster. What I’m trying to do is create a lot of Magical Ambiguity to make it difficult for the mimes to track... at least for a second. Just enough time for us to get through to Roshar.”

Truth smirks, "I can cement a strong Connection to Roshar, and also create a distraction for the.... mimes, right?".

He starts drawing various inticrate symbols in the air.

Oof, mobile is such a pain. I have a new respect from people who use the Shard on their phone

"Let's see... some illusions... a few magical explosions here... a Connection to Sel there... invisibility on some of the illusions... a few meta illusions." Truth suddenly pauses. "How powerful are these mimes?"

“How powerful? Pretty freaking powerful. I imagine the only reason they haven’t conquered the universe is because they don’t really want to. They aren’t our enemies, but they are the cause for our inability to escape. They’ve blocked all travel to and from the Universe Hexagon, but even they need time to throw up a barrier between you and a portal out of here. That’s why I’m trying to provide Magical Ambiguity; it’ll make us harder to track, and give us a little time before they put up a barrier.”

Vapor gasps. "Eric and T are enthralled." Spin gulps. "Looks like we might have a problem. T and Eric are enthralled."

I’m back and all caught up! I’ll say after Ene had her conversation with Grace, she followed the others to the room they’re in and has been thinking in a corner since, mostly tuning out the insanity all around her.

All caught up too! Okay, I've just been in a corner, examining the wall. I'm just going to assume that Forging will be a magical distraction. woo hoo!

"I can Forge this wall so that it has a door leading to a corridor that will take us to where T, Eric, and Vapor are, but I need to know where they are. I can help them break free of the mind control, and I won't get mind controlled myself. Does anyone know where they are?"

woo hoo oxford commas! Love them. What's your opinion?(totally not off topic)

Those who don't use Oxford Commans are considered demons. I will storming murder anyone who rejects them openly.

"Rusts and ruin, that's useful."

Truth wipes sweat of his forehead, "How many distractions do we need?"

I love being contrary! The Oxford comma is very very useful:

'highlights of his global tour include encounters with Nelson Mandela, an 800-year-old demigod, and a soap bar collector'

Spoiler

Just jk, I, too, use Oxford commas.

Mere tampering will not render you impervious, generally speaking- you need some oomph to guard against the battering ram that is a holed's enthrallment. More likely she picked up a purple gemstone somewhere.

"Dr. Larue," called the blue holed. "I believe we have something you want." The orange holed lifted Vapor up for emphasis. "Coincidentally, I believe that we want something that you have." He paused and waited expectantly for a reply.
The scientist gave a humourless chuckle. "I suppose that's so," he said. "Very well. I can tell when I've been outmaneuvered." He pulls out a purple gemstone on a silver chain and tosses it to the blue, who deftly snatched it out of the air and held it up to his eye.
He grinned. "This will be satisfactory," he said. Without another word, he turned and left, commanding T and Eric to follow. The orange dropped Vapor at her father's feet, gave a grunt, and turned to leave.
Dr. Larue sighed, kneeling down in front of Vapor. "You okay?" he asked.
