Let me know if/when I do something wrong! (Never done this before) @Ookla the Paragon(is this the right person? archer didn't pop up.) Name: Amon Lesh. (Age 27) Investiture: Bronze Misting. Special skills and weapons: Very skilled in bronze and can hear the Rhythms. Combining those abilities allows him to know what people are feeling. Weakness: Has three hemalurgic spikes. Each one pierces a vital organ and can't be safely removed. Physical characteristics: Male. Tall (6ft). Red, collar length hair. Green eyes. A bold nose. Family: Mother was a bronze misting and father was a parshendi. Both dead. Home planet: Travels a lot. Never feels at home. History/Biography: Mother was a Worldhopper who met his father on Roshar. The two of them set out across the cosmere to study the various magic systems. Amon was raised as a worldhopper, while traveling with his parents. The three of them were exploring a lost temple to the Lord Ruler on Scadrial, when they were ambushed by Inquisitors. Amon (age 17) had been warned not to use his bronze until they were sure it was safe, but forgot and burned some anyways, to the ruin of them all. The Inquisitors allowed Amon to live as a reward for alerting them to their presence. They Spiked his parents' sorrow from them as they died and stabbed Amon with the spikes. Amon tried to fight them, but they stabbed him with a spike, which they left in his body. Life at the Moment: Amon now has three spikes. The first two are his parents' grief while the last is his own grief. Amon feels a constant pounding of sorrow, which makes life difficult. He can't remove them without losing his ability to feel sorrow, and besides that, he still hasn't decided whether he wants to remove them. He feels guilty over his parents death and misses them, while painful the spikes are a piece of their souls. So long as he has the spikes they are still with him. Mission: Find way to remove spikes without dying or losing his own sense of grief. (hasn't decided whether he will actually remove them yet... but is searching anyways.) As for the profile, I really like it. Personally I enjoy the fact that you A, explained where the spikes came from, and B why he doesn't remove them. Those are two aspects in many other characters that I find lacking. Unfortunately I am not the person to contact, the person you pinged was the right one. He should hopefully respond soon. Were you planning on RPing this character in the current Era? Or after the next era starts. Edited December 13, 2018 by Ookla the [REDACTED] 1

Arith Matic he/him Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 (edited) @Ookla the Paragon REVISED He will be played in era 3 Edit: thanks for the feedback! Would an atium compounder work with copper ferring (kinda has to be with the backstory without making DRASTIC changes)? Also, i'm going to try to give this guy a daredevil-esque thing, with non-Allomantic enhanced senses. Name: Scribe (he forgot his original name) Sex: Male Age: 434 Home: Originally Scadrial, Now mobile Family: Terris breeder runaway impersonating a nobleman and a plantation noblewomen, both died during the events of Well of Ascension Investiture: Steel Inquisitor-like Hemalurgic linchpin (removed all other spikes except his atium spike), atium compounder and copper ferring (archivist) Equipment: wooden cane coppermind bracers concealed obsidian axes extra coppermind bracers Strengths: Powers of an atium compounder, expert in the use of dueling canes and axes, former steel inquisitor (he can not be shocked by gruesome battle), is resilient to pain, Natural heightened sound and touch through years of study, cannot see, so therefore cannot create copperminds with visions in them, Weaknesses: same linchpin spikes as all other steel inquisitors, guilt over killing his friend, able to be controlled by strong (duralumin) soothing, requires more rest than a normal person, bad at lying, actually blind, any mention of Scadrial can send him into a PTSD like shock for a couple seconds in combat only and a few minutes at most, Appearance: Tall (6,2), with a muscular build. wears a duster and cloak, with regular trousers and combat boots with an iron breastplate to cover his spikes, and a bandage to cover his blind eyes. History: Scribe was the son of a runaway Terris breeder and keeper that was helped into a thieving crew, and was impersonating a small plantation nobleman in the eastern dominance and became infatuated with a plantation noblewoman, who had Scribe. At a young age, Scribe showed strong loyalty to the Lord Ruler and became an obligator, where he befriended a world hopper named Seriff who was posing as an obligator. Then, Scribe was chosen to become a steel inquisitor. Then, shortly after Scribe was made an inquisitor, Seriff told Scribe about the Cosmere and world hopping, and asked Scribe to be his apprentice, and Scribe agreed, and they escaped from Luthadel and made their way to the Pits Of Hathsin, where they world hopped to Roshar and ran a few big scams, by Seriff's example, but Scribe was rather clumsy at the time and a few bad scams later they were being tailed by a Highprince with a Shardblade and narrowly escaped to Scadrial. Then, as Ruin was set free, Scribe was in Ruin's influence (17th Inquisitor ha ha) and killed Seriff, and ruin captured one of the remaining Terris keepers and gave Scribe atium compounding through hemalurgy. Scribe spent the rest of his time on Scadrial commanding koloss to destroy villages in the dominances. After Ruin died and Harmony was made, Scribe went insane with a mix of anger, rage, and depression for a few moments and pulled out his all of his spikes (except atium) with great pain, and was about to remove the linchpin when he passed out from blood loss and pain and almost died. He then was found by the Terris refugee camp and taken in, and for the first time, learned of his copper Ferring status. After recovering, he left the Terris camp at the Pits of Hathsin and journeyed to the ruins of Luthadel to use the well of Ascension to world hop. While there he vowed to compile and save as much information about the cosmere as he can, and has now compiled several caches of copperminds over the centuries after he left on planets all over the Cosmere . He discovered the Alleyverse while world hopping and would like to compile information about this realm to store in his copperminds. Current Objective: restore his atium supply on Scadrial, he does not think that it is a wise idea, but he eventually will have to. Edited December 14, 2018 by Arith Matic

So, here's the better version that doesn't include all that useless jargon and actually tells you a something about the character. Also, it's just a second draft, so feedback is wanted. That made me picture a Librarian travelling to the Rithmatist planet, seeing the clockwork horses, and freaking out with ideas for how to make a monster out of them. I like the detail and the ideas are good. Might want to consider painting the gold though, to avoid people trying to steal it. 5 hours ago, Steel Inqusitive said: Ok.... Here we go! Let me know if/when I do something wrong! (Never done this before) Yes, I'm the right person. My normal username is Archer, but Ookla Season was too good of an opportunity to pass up. The bronze misting being able to hear rhythms has been confirmed by WOB to be possible, so no issues there. However, it was my understanding that non-Singers don't emit rhythms. If that's true, they wouldn't be able to detect emotions of most people that way. I'd like that sentence reworded. I'd like some clarification on how the spikes work. I don't understand how sorrow can be spiked into someone. They appear to be hemalurgic (otherwise the infection they cause would cause issues) but that's usually used for other things. Maybe a hemalurgy expert could help me out here? Overall, it's a great bio. I appreciate the thought you've put int making a dynamic character. Once the things I mentioned are cleared up, I feel confident approving it. The deadline some people wanted (Boxing Day) is fast approaching, and we have no era-ending plot going yet. I predict it will get bumped to New Years. It looks like we're going to do a short time skip, so I'd begin RPing now. Even though it would be easier to start in E3, you may be waiting for weeks. Welcome to the Alleyverse! 57 minutes ago, Arith Matic said: This sounds nice, I'm going to try to create a character. Do you guys think that this interferes with the main events of era 1 Mistborn too much? We have a weird relationship with the books. We generally base planets we visit on what they are like at the start of the series, and do the same for powers. For example, our Epics all have weaknesses and our allomancers still need to Snap, despite developments in cannon that have done away with those restrictions. But there's no rules about that. Generally, so long as it doesn't contradict the books, you're fine to insert scenes and events. This is the most I've seen someone do that, but I think we could allow it. Unfortunately, this character is OP. Even with the blindness, having that level of investiture is too much. For E3, it definitely won't be permitted. We're aiming more for the level of a compounder in that era. I hate to ask this, because it will require reworking their backstory, but I would like their powers to be reworked so they are less powerful. I like your creativity and attention to detail. Great start. Welcoem to the RP! Quote Guys help I need a good Bane for Silas. The Boon is prodigious skill on all instruments and a 9 octave vocal range (Octave above and below the piano). He can't read music? He looks bad in a suit? When he whistles, every dog ina ten mile radius comes to lick his face? And I second Mac's request. Please don't advertise guilds here. 1
Ataraxian Wist she/her Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 (edited) Here's my character idea: Spoiler Name: Weston Demoux Age: Twenty-three. Investiture: Feruchemical and Allomantic Iron. Home planet: Scadrial. Nationality: Elendel Basin. Special skills and weapons: Lurcher Savant, capable of Pulling things toward himself at high or low velocities, keeping them from moving away from him without moving them toward himself, and pulling from other parts of his body besides his chest (yes, that last is possible, though I won't try to find the WoB from mobile). His Savantism also lets him see smaller metal sources and at longer distances with his Ironsight than other Allomancers. Can adjust his weight while Pulling, and thus Pull himself with small metals or Pull large metals to him. Since Iron range is relative to the Allomancers weight, he can dump his Ironminds to spot metal sources across vast distances, though Pulling on them is never a good idea. Carries a glock 19 handgun and high-density plastic shield with a few flecks of metal that only the strongest and heaviest of Allomancers - himself - can use. Carries specialty anchor rounds that don't pierce well but have a lot of stopping power and stay in the target, which he uses as... Anchors. Obviously. Weaknesses: Though capable of spectacular offensive feats, Weston is almost entirely lacking in defensive powers, and a single bullet could kill him. His height and unhealthy obsession with Shardblades can also be significant handicaps, as can the other health issues associated with achondroplasia, and he is still terrified of large fires, especially burning buildings. Physical characteristics and dress: Achondroplastic dwarf with light musculature, pale brown hair and a moderate tan. Wears short, high-collared version of a mostcoat to accommodate his stature and hide the burns on his neck and head. His face is unmarred, however, and his wardrobe is otherwise fairly normal, if somewhat casual: "long-"sleeve button-up shirts, tailored khakis, and sturdy boots. Family: A married older sister and both parents. They aren't fiscally supportive, but are otherwise helpful. All members are on friendly terms except for his brother-in-law and his mother, who avoid breathing the same air for reasons that I'll figure out when it matters. He doesn't see them too much though, as he travels a lot - sometimes to other planets - in his research. Personal history: Grew up in New Seran, and though his was a happy family, he never told his parents that he was a Skimmer in addition to a Lurcher. He took a special interest in the study of the Metallic Arts after - stranded on a tall, burning building with no other metal - he Burned one of his Ironminds and collapsed the building. He survived, though he didn't recover for several months. He had previously taken no interest even in historical accounts of TLR, but now he took to ravenously studying everything he could about the Metallic Arts and even hearsay about Compounding. His studies led him to a visiting Worldhopper (I may create this character, but it could be an existing character or an irrelevant detail) and doors he had never even heard of opened up before him. He begged the Worldhopper to teach him their tricks, and soon learned not only how to get onto and off of Scadrial, but also the nature of Investiture and some Realmatic Theory. His studies and other travels led him to Roshar, where he fell in love with another kind of metal-magic: The Shardblade. He sought one desperately, but he soon realized that the very features that made them so desirable also made them hard to come by. He did not abandon the desire, but he moved on for a time and found himself face to face with Nightblood: A Nalthian Shardblade. His mind was opened to new possibilities, and he tried to get a Shardblade of this new type, but ran into other issues. Current objective: To prove the possibility of a "Mistblade" or Shardblade made purely by the Metallic Arts, and then have the awesomest weapon ever. I'll bold columns as soon as I'm off mobile, so just bear with me for now. Also, I may need a reason for him to want the Shardblade. Not sure yet. And yes, I know I said "useless Iron Compounder" but still. I just dirt if realized he wasn't useless. That's all. Critique? Too OP? EDIT: I changed him up a bit, because why not? Here is the final Weston Demoux, but I can't tag so I'll just post a link to him. Edited December 15, 2018 by Ookla the Palindrome Revision
Archer he/him Posted December 14, 2018 Author Posted December 14, 2018 You typed that on mobile? Wow. Quote keeping them from moving away from him without moving them toward himself Does that mean they hang, unmoving, in the air? If so, I don't believe that is possible. Quote Since Iron range is relative to the Allomancers weight I'll assume you know what you're talking about. If so, I just learned something new. Woot. Quote Carries two handguns (style according to whatever Era 3 means) Since Reckoners Earth is in the Alleyverse, you could get plastic and a nice handgun pretty easily. Quote Weaknesses: Though capable of spectacular offensive feats, Weston is almost entirely lacking in defensive powers, and a single bullet could kill him. He needs more than that, but I can't really brain at the moment. I always recommend including humanizing weaknesses. Stuff like fears, character flaws, and physical quirks. The short height is also a weakness. I would feel comfortable approving this character for E3 (though you'll need to run the numbers and wait until restrictions are finalized) if you address the things I mentioned. Ping me and I'll add it to the the E2 list. Overall, it's a nice bio. Well done.

A specific sorrow would be something very difficult to spike but likely still technically possible (Pretty much anything is spikable really) would probably need to be performed by a very experienced Hemalurgist. Their distance relative to wherever he's pulling from does not lengthen. It's like string. Granted, Iron pulling is always "like a string" but b this one isn't jerky. He can hang things directly below him, toll them slowly across the floor, or just keep you from running off with them. That's all. Yes, I'm almost certain that's correct. It's mentioned in the first book, if I recall correctly. Though I could have that wrong, and my Kindle is broken so I can't access the book, I'm pretty sure Vin had that problem while dueling Kelsier. And I believe Wax exploited it to push Steris or Marasi to safety at one point. Yeah, forgot that about Reckoners. Will add appropriate information. And weaknesses. He'll have more human ones, I just can't think of any right now. Besides a possibly crippling fear of fire, which would be appropriate. I'll post the new one from my desktop.

As for the Epic weakness that will be explained in the history when E3 comes along. 3. I'll think of a humanizing weakness for you when I think of a good one for my character.
Arith Matic he/him Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 (edited) @Ookla the Paragon I've sorta reworked my character, you can view my edited page, here are some highlights: -removed all allomantic ability except atium usage (for atium compounding) -is now actually blind for real, and cannot recall visions in archival(for copperminds), only sound so he has to read each manuscript out loud -rips out all other inquisitor spikes (without dying?) except linchpin spike and atium spike -enhances his senses through physical training and not investiture (so he can actually walk) -added equipment tab Edited December 14, 2018 by Arith Matic
Archer he/him Posted December 14, 2018 Author Posted December 14, 2018 Thanks for the info Voidus! Palindrome, thanks for the responses. I have no more suggestions. Meeker, okay. I understand why you made the character the way you did. Arith Matic, I think because of the quality of the weakness, how the character is now would be acceptable for E3. Usual disclaimer applies. Thanks for your cooperation.
Steel Inquisitive he/him Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 (edited) @Ookla the ParagonSorry for how long it took me to respond! I edited my character... removed the emotion sense and got rid of the sorrow spikes( I felt like they were overtly dramatic and wasn't sure if that would work anyways.... left them as spikes that don't grant anything..... now that I think about it can spikes do nothing? never mind. made it so that they give fear. (I really didn't want him to have too many powers)) The main idea with the spikes was that the character would hate them and want to get rid of them but be unwilling to get rid of them because they have a piece of his parents souls. BooksBeforeDeath Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 I want to make an Alleyverse character. Tell me if the Cadium-primer cube is too OP Spoiler Name: Toatasituelteleleiaponga (Goes by Toa) Sex: Transgender Age: 483 Personality: Coy, sneaky. Likes to be a part of things, but in the background. Loves to acquire and trade secrets. Social, but can be seriouis when needed. Weaknesses: Quests; loves to observe and tamper with quests. Has a weak spot on hir left shoulder where she was beet as a child. Hitting this area causes hir to collapse in pain. One of the main reasons se doesn't wear heavy armor: anything metal is to heavy, and causes pain on hir weak spot. Isn't very pain tolerant. Strengths: good at fighting; doesn't fight fights se knows se'll lose. Very good at not getting hit, but awful at taking hits. Good ear for secrets: can tell if you have a secret, and will try to persuade you to tell hir. Prefrences: Loves all members of the GB, and treats them like family. Otherwise, hates all noblemen and Terrisman. Loves fruits and berries, but hates nuts and most sweets. Prefers areas such as jungles, which are easy to hide in. Enjoys hunting and killing large game such as Chasmfiends. Hates heavy armor, and tends to use light, fast weapons. Investiture: A twinborn: Burns Cadium (slow bubble), and stores with steel (speed). Weapons: Primer cube, obsidian daggers. Fighting style: Either fights with speed, zipping through enemy lines, stabbing strategical pressure points, or, if overwhelmed, throws a primer cube and calls for reinforcements. Backstory: Born on Scadrial, Grew up with no parents. Born in Era.1 from a Feruchemist and an Allomancer, but was cast out for not being Fullborn. Resented both Noblemen and Terrisman for what was done to hir (him/her). Grew up on the streets, and learned to be invisible; very fragile body, and is hurt (physically) very easily. Eventually infiltrated hir parents home, and brought down the keep with a couple well placed lies and secrets. Got an interest in lies, and ended up with an information empire. Learned of the Well of Ascension, and discovered worldhopping. Eventually made hir way to Roshar, where Se (she/he) met up with the Ghostbloods. Has been a loyal member ever since.
I think I am here. he/him Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 It's nice, but why are they almost 500 years old? Even if they learnt world-hopping, is it Atium compounding, or a curse from the Nightwatcher, or something else. The name is nice, but is there any reason why it's so different from normal Scadrian conventions?

I think the Ars Arcana for Alloy of Law said something like 8 times less or more time (depending on the bubble), so taking 483 years and dividing it by 8, you'd still have to had been spending around 60 years constantly in a time bubble for it to be possible

Archer he/him Posted December 14, 2018 Author Posted December 14, 2018 (edited) Besides the things Itiah and Voidus mentioned, the one thing that stood out to me was the bit about being rejected because they weren't a Fullborn. You don't have to change it, I just want to point out that their parents have ridiculously high expectations. If you're going to RP having an information empire, you should look into how Cadmium Compounder did it in E1. He had a guild called the Informants. It went interestingly. As for age, as well as lowering it, can you please add how old they appear. I have trouble picturing this character in my head. I have no problems with the primer cube in E2. When you get those edits in, @ me please and I'll add you to the E2 list. Edited December 14, 2018 by Ookla the Paragon
Sherlock Holmes he/him Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Ahem, @BooksBeforeDeath, transgender is not a sex. Male or female are the sexes. Your character could be a female man or a male woman, but transgender implies that they changed genders, since changing DNA is impossible. You could get a sex-change surgery, but you’d still be the same sex.
kenod Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Feruchemical gold or stormlight could do full sex changes for trans people, we got a WoB about that recently. But it was a bit confusing, giving that you're using non-gendered pronounces, which would indicate the character being genderfluid, non-gendered or hermaphrodite. 3
