Kaymyth she/her Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Can I have a link? Twi knows better than to put that link anywhere I could see it. 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Twi knows better than to put that link anywhere I could see it. That too. Some of her stuff is fairly inoffensive, even if I don't personally agree with her conclusions, but some of it is just begging to be flamed in the comments section. I sometimes write nasty comments in the document while editing, then erase them before she sees.

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 On that note, what kind of comments does your mother get? She doesn't. Sometimes she'll get people commenting on the Facebook post where she shared the link (usually something like "Preach it!" or "Another great post!") but she doesn't have people commenting that I know of. She has a pretty small readership, though, and if they disagree with her they don't say so.

Here I thought you were going to say you post nasty comments under an anonymous name. not that I'm suggesting feeding the troll or anything. At least the post was about why NOT to vote for Trump. One very very small point in her favour.

At least the post was about why NOT to vote for Trump. One very very small point in her favour. Actually, I found a post with a few comments on it. They were all hearty agreement, of course. Yeah, she does recognize a terrible candidate when she sees one. Even Twimom has standards, I suppose.

Delightful Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Sounds like sycophants more than engaged commenters.

Yeah, she does recognize a terrible candidate when she sees one. Even Twimom has standards, I suppose. Well, you know what they say: A broken clock is right twice a day!You can also get a good idea of a person's generation based on how confusing the previous statement is to that person.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Sounds like sycophants more than engaged commenters. It's for the best, honestly. I've learned not to disagree with her because, no matter how reasonable my arguments or his calmly I present them, she'll say I'm being rude, snotty, snippy, deliberately disrespectful, etc. She'd be much the same way with respectful dissenters on her blog.

It is right about every ten years. 3
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 She can have half. If that cookie has gluten in it, she won't eat it. Even though she hasn't exhibited a true gluten intolerance for all of the 26 years I've known her, meaning this sudden sensitivity is probably psychosomatic. I'll take her half. Twimom is more like a clock that runs slightly too fast. It is right about every ten years. Lucky her, this is her year.
Silverblade5 he/him Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Today, I had to bike 2.5 miles through snow while it was still snowing. On the way, I was getting cold, so I stopped at the local BaN to warm up. While I was there, I picked up a copy of Bands of Mourning. After that, I made a stop at a nearby fast food restaurant. Finally, I managed to make it home in roughly 40 minutes. Not sure if this says anything about my young adulting/teenageing, but that's what happened.

Orlion Blight he/him Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Oh, Anthony Powell...it's been too long, welcome back to my life! Didn't think I would find a scene involving the lack of porridge so amusing.
Mistrunner Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 (edited) Huh. https://politicalcompass.org/analysis2?ec=-4.25&soc=-1.69 So apparently I'm one of maybe two Sharders that's in the opposite section? I'm so alone... Edit because I don't want to double post. I was searching for "music education distracting from other subjects" for opposing viewpoints to my paper. Google suggested as a related search "what effect does food color have on the amount of food fish eat." Of course that makes sense. Edited February 2, 2016 by Mistrunner

Kaymyth she/her Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Kindle advantage: being able to read after James has gone to sleep without having a light on and bothering him.
The Sovereign Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 (edited) I finally finished Retail, now I don't know what to do with my spare time.... it left me with a Christopher Walken like need for more... (except substitute cow bell for Lunker)... I think this was my favorite Lunker comic in the series: Edited February 2, 2016 by Iron Eyes 1
