You know you're a Sanderfan when you come up with theories for other books by thinking in terms of shards and Sanderson's plot twists.
Oh, and think it's weird when there's only one board on a chat for disscussing theories and thoughts.

When I tried to come up with questions to ask Brian McClellan it was significantly easier when I started thinking Realmatically.

So, yeah, that's a thing. And it works.

You know you're a sanderfan when your friends are afraid of silly things like the dark or spiders, while your greatest fear is that Brandon will die before finishing the cosmere, but ask someone else to continue it, only they can't find his notes so they don't know what to do...

Clearly, we need to compile all the WoBs and theorycraft enough that we can reconstitute his notes.

You know you're a sanderfan when...

Your friend takes you to an oriental restaurant and eats honeyed rice and candied fruit, and you are offended because he is eating women's food.

Hey, he may just think he's still a kid.

When your riding in the gun mount in a convoy, see a stick in the middle of the road, and screaming "STOP! THE STICK MUST LIVE" and stoping the entire convoy.

I feel like I must be stupid for asking... but did that actually happen?

And if it did... what happened afterward? Because I'm having a hard time imagining that you wouldn't have been punished in some way

TMW you actually do turn out to be stupid because another 3 minutes of reading would've gotten me my answer lol.

You know you're a Sanderfan when you're at a Father's and Son's camp and one of the adults mentions Steelheart and you jump up from your chair and scream "YUS I LOVE YOU."

Also when you go to a BYU author's camp and are disappointed you never saw Sanderson (why'd you have to go to Austrailia? WHY?!)

When you talk Sanderson for your entire fast offering route...

Don't tell me you took the money to buy Sanderson books for the ward library! :P

I post like 40 times a day. Why would you do that to yourself? I'm really not that cool.

imagine if we were both in the same timezone :o

@Calderis @Extesian

I do it because you two always have good, quality theories and even if you don't you are posting genuinely interesting stuff or helping to support or debunk someone else's theory. And extesian, even if you were in the same timezone it wouldn't make a difference because I'm not really active during most of the day so I always have the backlogged emails from one of you and the current emails from the other. It's like a positive feedback loop because the more I post in response to you guys the more, in turn, you post, so the more emails I get so the more I post... you get the point

Edit: Although technically Extesian is generally MORE interesting than calderis and must have better theories due to the fact that you two are both the same rank yet Extesian has nearly 600 fewer posts than Calderis.... Just sayin'

Sound logic and I fully agree.

Huh, didn't expect that.... now if only someone would say that about my crackpot theories...

You know you're a sanderfan when none of your theories make sense, but you're proud anyway.

Calderis in all fairness though I don't truly believe that Extesian is more interesting than you. You are both unique and amazing in your own ways and when you are both going back and forth with each other on a thread it's amazing. (Case in point: "these stupid ranks" thread)

I will accept praise :) the difference is that Calderis is engaged with every topic here and will take it to its full conclusion. I tend to shimmy in, provide a WoB, a comment, and leave. Calderis on the other hand fleshes out the micro- theory more and posts a lot more small theories. But yeah the best part is when we both get into a particular bit of micro - theory pit realmatics and feedoff each other, we work well together :) I know he's useful and interesting, and I'm glad if I'm the same.

Bear in mind though, we got nothing on many of the old school who have been mostly inactive on the forum and will probably stay so until Oathbringer. Come November, the newer people will start seeing how little we got compared to the mods, Pagerunner, Spool, Argent, Oversleep and others. I for one can't wait :)

Yeah. I jump in on anything that catches my interest and I post a lot. I seriously believe that my stupid rep gains are a matter quantity over quality.

That said, the theories I post and the ones I try to contribute to, most are based off intuition from the things I do know. I try to keep learning and picking up more.

@Extesian has a tendency to post less theories, but when he does their very well thought out and researched.

When we start going back and forth and help each other, using both of those things, we tend to shine.

And as he said, people like Spool, Pagerunner, and Argent among others who have been around forever but are mostly inactive right now... Their the professors. We're just out of high school.

So basically you two are saying that you both have entirely different methodologies that both eventually lead to the same goal? Calderis using more intuition and instinct and off-hand knowledge while Extesian uses documented research and fully planned out explanations? That's actually... pretty inspiring how you both have opposite philosophies when it comes to this site, yet still have similar rep numbers

You two are like a metaphor for achieving your goals in life. Just because you don't do it the same way someone else does, doesn't mean you cannot reach the same goal

Not only that but when it comes to this it seems the only thing you two agree upon is that you aren't the best and that there are better ways to do things. You two would make great characters in a book ;)

Ugh, I wanted to upvote most of the posts above me because @Calderis and @Extesian are pretty awesome, but I'm out of upvotes. You're both too hard on yourselves, you guys are awesome. I haven't seen Pagerunner, Spool, Argent, or the others in all their glory yet (though I know how good they are), but you guys are just amazing. Like, I'm starting to get into the theory scene, and you guys are like the perfect role models for what I want to be as a theorizer. Oh, @The One Who Connects is another amazing example of a modern theorizer that's awesome. Basically everything has already been said about you guys, but I just wanted to say it all again.

You know you're a sanderfan when you're paired with another Sanderfan as a potential storybook duo.

I'll pal around with @Extesian all day. Sounds fun.

You guys give such good responses!!!! I'm always so jealous of you.

You know you're a sanderfan when you're obsessed with Pattern, so you're siblings can recognize him anywhere, even though they haven't read the books.

"What're you doing? Oh, you're drawing Pattern."

I have trained my silbings so well. ^_^
