When you begin to call books less then 200,000 words "novella".

and any thing less than 75,000 a short story.

Yeah, my sense of what's a normal book length has totally shifted. I used to think 500+ pages was really long, and now most of the books I read are over 500 pages. And instead of thinking 1000 pages is totally insane, my favorite book is over 1000 pages. What can I say, I like big books and I cannot lie.

When you see a random guy in the office cafeteria reading a Stormlight Archive-sized book and are tempted to go check what he's reading.

UPDATE: Guys, I totally saw the same dude again at lunch today, and confirmed that he was in fact reading Words of Radiance. Went and said hi, turns out this is his first time through the book, and he discovered Brandon through his work on the Wheel of Time.

When you abbreviate the name of a movie you are watching in class with SA, then look at your paper a few minutes later and wonder why you put the abbreviation for Stormlight Archive on your paper.

When a friend misspells "casual" as "causal" in a text and you wonder if she is proposing.

Fortunately, I introduced her to Sanderson books a few months ago, so she'd already read the Stormlight Archive and I was able to explain the joke.

When you come across this gif of a guy who can draw a perfect circle freehand and think he'd be amazing at Rithmatics.

Also, when you're continually checking the bookstore's "in-stock" counter for Firefight because you can't get there until after work.

When you wonder if the lack of new comments in threads in your "My Content" list is due to the fact that everyone on the site has their eyes glued to the pages of Firefight.  (I really need to get home so I can start reading!)

When your first reaction to your chemistry TA's name (Sanaz) is "Ooh! That's a proper Vorin name!".

And when you're slightly worried that you won't be able to get into Firefight because you've gotten used to the 17th Shard's version of the Calamity stricken Earth...

When Firefight coming out is the best thing that has happened to you all year.

(It's funny, because the year has only happened for a few days)

When you're sure that Shadows of Self is also going to be on the list of best things of the year. And that Bands of Mourning is going to do the same thing as Firefight to 2016

When you're worried your entire Reckoners RP might become un-canon-ized because of Firefight.

When you plan to suggest that your school library buy Steelheart and Firefight (even though you already have both) so that people will see them and try them.

Nah, your schoool will never recommend those.

There are too few dead dogs and mothers to make them meaningful books.

They do have dead parents, though. It might be enough. :)

When you try to make a Sanderson quote at the dinner table and everyone just stares at you. Let me tell you, that is an awkward experience.

I once quoted Kelsier in front of my brother (also a sanderfan though not on the site), I'm not sure if he realized it though.

I'm pretty sure my Sister-in-Law has called me Lord Tyrant before. That along with a couple Firefly quotes and Supernatural quotes from me (Both Mark Sheppard quotes) such as "I'm above you, better than!" and "I'm the bloody King of Hell!" when she told me to visit there. I've been kinda mean lately.

When you're eating in the cafeteria, you find little bits of cartilage from the the chicken in your stir fry and the first thing that pops into your head is "Well, at least I know it isn't Soulcast!"
