I wasn't expecting to learn much more about Dawnshards in the first 5 books. It's like Odium showing up in part two agin. Hype!

I finished the book last night and I like it a lot! I'm especially fond of the M-Bot Spensa relationship. Generally, I liked the growth of Spensa a lot. I wasn't a big fan of her at the beginning but I have grown to lover her more and more over the book. Also I was rooting for Jorgon from the beginning and I'm happy that Spensa likes him now as well. I didn't make the connection with DE (I completely forgot that it was connected to something) but "cytonic" was ringing a bell, I just couldn't place it. My only complaint is the part, where the go into real ballte just at the beginning of their training. Even if you are desperate, this is a very stupid idea. So to me it felt like just a way to increase the tension. Otherwise, the book is awesome. Give me more mushrooms and doomslug!

I know your problem. I think it's part because I read already a lot of books and I just know how some plots/whatever work so I can predict them much more easily. Sanderson has often so huge twists that I never guess them

I do agree with you. There are other books that are better in one thing, or are just so different that you can't really compare them. But Sanderson's book are just so good, so I can't not compare other with them. So I came up with this, a little silly, ranking I love broccoli! You can't name it that

Shard of limitation. When your options are limitet you get powers, so you aren't limited anymore so you loose them. Shard of reading-cosmere-books: You only get powers while reading Cosmere books.

I love the Way of Kings cover because I think it captures the book perfectly.
