(I'll show myself out) Food for thought, besides cupcakes, is whether we think we've got two elims yet. If we have, adding more people to the dead doc dilutes the pool of suspects when we win the loop. If we don't, the more the merrier, and our targeters should consider hitting Araris. Afaik the vote is compulsive, we have no masks that can kill in play other than the Blast Mask which isn’t targeted like that, and I don’t rly feel comfortable assuming we won a loop until Aman confirms it
The Unknown Medallion he/him Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) So I definitely have thoughts Just finished up catching up, and I'm kinda going crazy Cause Araris can't have the Blast Mask, cause I have it Edit: I am now realizing maybe that wasn't the best idea to claim, but the elims didn't target a cleared villager last cycle anyways ~ Heroshi was beyond confused. Somehow, the town had been repaired then destroyed again before he realized. He barely escaped in his confusion. He was wearing his Hero costume, but it didn't fit properly. It was still sized for a child. Oddly enough though, his mock sword and shield had grown, so he was forced to escape town in an ill fitting costume while holding perfectly normal weapons. Well, normal except for the fact that they would be completely useless in a fight. Edited March 5 by The Unknown Medallion 1
DrakeMarshall he/him Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Araris claimed to have the mask? well then you’re both liars lol

That really doesn’t seem like something that would work out for you so what was the thought behind that play? Edit: Drake are you also implying you have blast? Edited March 5 by coco.pudding

Araris Valerian he/him Posted March 5 Posted March 5 I'm gonna stick to my claim. The owner of the Bremen Mask should target me sometime before the loop ends (probably after tonight, so as to have a chance of stopping the NK).

DrakeMarshall he/him Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Next, Squircle threw a handful of dirt at the invisible platform. He was going to take this slow and steady, covering the platforms in dirt until they were clearly visible. Unfortunately, the dirt just blew away in the wind. He was thinking about what to try next, when a Deku in a green cap emerged and started spitting seeds off the cliff rapidly. "Hey, I was here first," Squircle accused. "Where did you come from?" She didn't respond or hesitate, spitting seeds even faster. It was clear she was scanning for those invisible platforms. Then she backed up and got a running start and did the unthinkable and jumped off the cliff. The invisible platform held her up. Squircle was speechless for a moment. He found his voice when she jumped to the next platform, then the next. She was making alarming progress up towards the floating island. "Hey! Wait up, I say! That's my secret floating isla--" Everything exploded. Squircle staggered back, dazed, ears ringing, the afterimage burning in his eyes. When he recovered, he looked up and found the island gone. The hero, too, was gone. "You know, on second thought, you can have it," he muttered. He peered over the edge of the cliff, sighing. "I suppose someone had better go have a look around down there." 2
Through the living Wahr He/Him Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Wahi sat at one of the fires when he heard an Explosion, No it couldnt happen again, he got up and crossed the bridges, making his way towards the Explosion, he arrived at at cliff, in the distance he saw the remains of a once floating Island something that caused it to explode. He heard people talking a Kid that entered a Sprint on the Island before it exploded. Wahi wasnt Sure how they would have acomplished that, seeing as the remnants of the Island didnt seem to have any Connecticut to the Rest of the Mountains but maybe that Explorer as well. A Person in a very strange looking Mask peered down the Cliff and sugested that someone climb down and Look for the child. Wahi wasnt to sure abbout the usefullness of that, That Kid had been at the Center of the Explosion, or at least thats what he heared, and even if they had survived that they would fallen who knows how deep and landed on very hard and maybe pointy stones. That Kid was probably dead. He saw other people Holding each other at they stood at the edge of the cliff. Wahi hadnt known the Kid, but uit seemed like a lot of people cared about her. Most of the people looking down the Cliffhanger seemed very distressed about what they just witnessed, so Wahi decided he would climb down there, he was probably the most Level headed Person right now, and so he started to climb down the cliff. 2

Burnt Spaghetti she/her Posted March 5 Posted March 5 9 hours ago, coco.pudding said: Huh. Well that seems like an issue. Ig we do have a backup musician though hey @Burnt Spaghetti does Cindra want to learn the song by any chance? We uh might need her to I don't know if her standard issue flute will have the same magical results, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try? --- Cindra stood in silence, mouth partly agape in shock. She watched as Amora held the distraught Thistle. She watched as the fragments glistened as they fell. She watched as she felt her knees impact with the snow. What was going on? She didn't understand. This wasn't allowed to be an option. Ap was the one who made sure they got another chance. Was it all just... done? Game over? No more chances? That ocarina was what let them go back. That ocarina... it was magical, surely... could it have survived? She glanced at the flute in her pocket. She played tunes all the time, there's no way that old thing had any magic in it. Its just a flute. But maybe... could she play the ocarina? Its just another wind instrument, surely she'd be able to figure out the notes by ear pretty quickly. She really hoped that maybe Ap had survived the fall, as improbably as it was, Ap was also not just another person. Cindra had to hope. Feeling some resolution she stood back up and moved closer to the edge to get a better look. She saw Coliver doing the same. "I'm not much of a climber... but.. I'll go with you. We have to try." Cindra saw others agreeing with this and others began making their descent. She glanced back at Thistle and hesitated. Her herbs. If Ap had survived...
Stick. she/her Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Re araris claim i think it’s probably always village to go for the blast mask but only if it’s actually been equipped… which we have no way of knowing until someone targets him. would’ve been nice to have a postman
Through the living Wahr He/Him Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) There are three People that have claimed owning the Mask (Araris, TUm and Drake), so a minimum of two are lying, and Araris could have false claimed so he isnt getting exed and had not anticipted that other People claim to have it as well as they wouldnt want to make the mask useless by warning everyone that they have it. So I would say that was an attempt to not get exed. I do not think a villager would have claimed the Mask except to counterclaim. Edited March 5 by Wahrheitswächter
Doc12 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) On mobile right now so I'm not going to bother with formatting. I don't get why TJ was under so much fire, especially after so much analysis (which I admittedly only skimmed) I get the accusation that only posting when under threat was weird, but I also understand how hard it can be to catch up on this game when already behind, and I really appreciated the effort he was putting in. I looked back at the votes end of cycle, and while it was pretty heated at the end, there wasn't that much vote movement. So araris was set to be exed, 3 to coco and Tj's 2. Then he claimed blast mask, so Mistfallen voted on coco making a 3 to 3 with araris and coco. I switch to araris making it 4 to 3 because burnt wasnt getting exed and I believed the blast claim to be a last minute bluff to escape the exe (speaking of which, I suppose everyone has the blast mask now, so I'll just say I also have it :p) at this point TJ is still at 2. Then archer switches to TJ because analysis only when high pressure was sus, making it 3 votes all around for Araris Coco and TJ. Then Coco self presses by voting tj, pushing him over to 4. Its interesting because this is the second time this loop with closely tied votes when Archer jumps off the leading train to a trailing one that eventually does get exed. The second thing is thst coco probably didn't NEED to self pres because tj and araris had nowhere near the activity she had and she was not in danger during the tie. It's just interesting that again, as with Dive, it's Archer and coco vote switching end of cycle that decided the exe, switching from a leading train to a secondary one. I don't know. Burnt - archer - coco team? Araris was already linking archer and coco, so if they were a team they'd probably want to switch to him but they didn't... @Archer 2 questions: 1. did I get the riddle right 2. At the end of the day, why vote tj when you were interested in araris from the start ? Edited March 5 by Doc12

Amanuensis he/him Posted March 5 Author Posted March 5 (edited) Ap the Apprentice The fountain was warm. That was the first thing Ap registered — not the carved stone walls or the shallow pool or the light that came from no visible source, but the warmth, which was extraordinary given that everything outside the cave entrance was snow and ice and the particular cold of a mountain that hadn't seen spring in centuries. She was lying on her back at the pool's edge. She was not in pieces, which she had briefly been uncertain about. She sat up. "Gently," said a voice. The Great Fairy of Wisdom was large, and green, and had the quality of something that had been in this fountain since before the mountain had its current name. She regarded Ap with eyes that held the specific patience of a being for whom time moved differently than it did for everyone else. "You were falling," she said. "So I caught you." Ap looked at her hands. Her cap was singed at the brim. Her boots were still damp from the Hot Springs. Otherwise she was, by any assessment, fine — which was not how explosions usually ended for people. "I was in Deku form," she said. "You were." The Fairy's expression was not quite a smile. "That helped. My intervention helped more." Ap looked at the pool, then at the cave entrance, where the wind off the mountain moved in cold currents against the warmth inside. She thought about the sensor and the light and the one second she'd had between crossing the threshold and understanding what the light was. She thought about the explosion going outward in every direction. "Why?" she asked. "Because your journey is not done yet," the Fairy said. She raised one hand, and the wind in the cave entrance shifted — not outside anymore but inside, responsive, circling the pool in a slow current that Ap could feel on her face and arms and the back of her neck. "I can give you this. A blessing over wind. Combined with the mask, it will carry you where you need to go." Ap reached into her pack. The Deku Mask was there, unburned. "Find Darmani first," she said. "You'll need his Mask. Then you may reach the Temple." "But... the Lens of Truth wasn't where it should be. Does the Quartermaster have it? How can I find that which I can't see?" "Go to his Grave and you will See," the Fairy said. "The Temple Road is percarious, tonight. Tread safely." Then the Fairy vanished in a burst of vibrant green wind, enveloping her in warmth. The color faded but it's presence remained, tickling her skin. Ap put on the mask, felt the transformation settle, and hovered an inch off the ground without trying. With effort, she floated an inch higher, the wind pouring out from her feet to keep her suspended. She looked at the cave entrance, at the dark and the cold and the mountain beyond it. She went. Thistle was still kneeling at the edge of the cliff. She had been kneeling since the explosion, which was long enough that the cold had worked through her coat and into her knees, and she had not moved because moving required deciding to move and she had not managed to decide anything since the Lone Peak Shrine had simply ceased to exist in front of her eyes. Coliver was not sitting. Coliver was at the ravine's edge, looking down at the steaming rubble far below, and then she swung his legs over and started climbing. "Don't," Thistle choked out under her breath. Barely audible. She climbed anyway. Cindra looked at Thistle, then at Coliver's descending figure, and went after her. The ice was not cooperative. Coliver made it fifteen feet before her left boot lost purchase on a slick outcrop and her right hand grabbed the nearest thing available, which was a branch jutting from the cliff face at an angle that was not designed to hold a person's full weight. It held anyway, for now, with the particular reluctance of wood that was considering its options. She hung there. Below her, the charred rubble steamed. Above her, Cindra had stopped moving, both hands reaching down and not quite bridging the gap. A hand closed around Cindra's collar and pulled. The man was wearing a mask — plain, human-featured, the kind of mask that looked almost exactly like a face and therefore looked nothing like one if you looked too long. He had his feet braced against a rock and his grip was certain, and he pulled Cindra up and kept pulling until Coliver came with her, both of them landing in a heap on the ledge above. He let go and stepped back. "No point in killing yourselves to fetch a corpse," the odd stranger said. Nearby, Thistle opened her mouth. Then the wind shifted. It came up from the ravine — warm, which made no sense given the temperature, carrying with it a faint green light that resolved, as it rose, into a single stray fairy. Small, luminous, drifting upward through the cold air with the unhurried certainty of something that knew exactly where it was going. It reached the ledge. It circled their heads once, twice — close enough that each of them felt the warmth of it on their faces — and then it moved. West along the cliff edge, back toward the bridges, back toward Mountain Village, pausing once to look back at them with the patience of something waiting to be followed. Since y'all wanna throw yourselves off a cliff for her instead of following Medigoron or breaking into the Shrine Ap would be left ambiguous for longer but this is your reward for caring more about her than your own lives, I guess Edited March 5 by Amanuensis 2
Through the living Wahr He/Him Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Wahi was halfway down the clif when he a small Rock broke away under his feet, he manged to hold himself, but realitically, that Part of the cliff that broke away under his weight was quite important to get down so he searched for a new hold with his feet, as a small fairy few up from the Cliff and waited at the bridge, he didnt knew where it had came from, but it seemed important, another very good reason to climb back up because that thing clearly wannted something. Luckily the Ascension wasnt that hard, he already knew where he would have good grip, so without any more falling Rocks he managed to pull himself back up. "I should not have tried that, nearly Fell down that cliff myself." Wahi said back, as he turned his attention back to the Fairy and followed it 2
Archer he/him Posted March 5 Posted March 5 I'm going to strongly advocate for exing Araris tomorrow, mask or not. Our biggest concern L3D1 is the mask of invincibility, since they become immune to being voted on. Coco, Burnt, Mistfallen, and maybe Doc, Stick have the funds to get it. It's best to keep all of them alive so we maximize our chances of getting it, since we can't confidently say which individual(s) is evil. Best to play the odds in a larger group than risk skewing the odds with a bad kill. Of the poorer group (myself included), Hael and Drake are trusted, and TwinStorm is unreadable. That leaves Araris. Not rich enough to be one of our chances of getting the 50-rupee masks, and the least trusted of the remaining. I'm 50/50 on whether he fake claimed to win the loop at the expense of outing himself (assuming v!TJ and v!Dive). It'd be an effective strat. We'll unpack that tomorrow. I'm working on a larger ISO for tomorrow, stay tuned. I deeply regret switching my vote based on what I've got so far, but I'll lay it out in more detail once I sort out my notes. * The fountain was warm. After a moment, the trickle slowed to a stop. Ouae stepped out of the water, feeling relieved. "I made cupcakes, but the recipe I used must have been British. These are closer to fairy cakes." She stuffed them in her apron for later. "I wonder how the search party is doing..." 1
