A brand new dueling arena had been constructed to ensure that DeTess and Silho fought one-on-one to prevent any more of the accidents or ‘accidents’ that had killed Forge. DeTess sighed. “Sorry Silho. I still think we should interrogate Stick for Forge’s death, but I won’t let you stand in my way. It’s nothing personal.” She pulled a handful of boxings from her pocket and aimed them at Silho. “Wait!” he cried. “That’s not fair. Put those boxings down and fight fair!” Even one of the people who’d been calling for Silho’s blood agreed. “Boxings are too lethal, wait boxings? You’ve always used clips for your allomancy before. All these weeks claiming that you couldn’t afford to pay back your debts and now you're willing to use twice that amount just to win a fight?!” “That’s right!” those already accusing DeTess exclaimed. “You must have already sold us out.” “Was it the ministry?” asked one. “Or the mob?” asked the other. “Either way, we’ll bring you to justice!” Silho declared, charging forwards. DeTess showed no hints of fear, instead steelpushing her coins forwards in a lethal barrage. Silho flinched, but the coins never reached him. Instead, they tore through the body of someone he almost recognized, but couldn’t quite name. As DeTess stared in shock, Silho seized his chance and punched her as hard as he could, right in the solar plexus. It shouldn’t have been a fatal blow, but DeTess gasped, the spike in her chest punched all the way through her body and out the other side. With the spike removed from its proper place, blood began to gush out, and nobody was fast enough to save her. As she died, she noticed that the person she had shot was smiling at her and winked once before feigning death. ~ “No casualties,” the report in Scarthroat’s hand read, the same as it had the previous day. Such a pointless waste to risk Tyrian Falls discovering her all for information that she already had just by looking. Clearly, the mobborn recruited from Tyrian didn’t trust her. She would just have to investigate personally and remind them who they should be obeying. She strode off towards the designated meeting place, determined to find out what secrets had been hidden from her. ~ Copper Copper clicked his tongue. Red, black, orange, brown, and gray, he was flooded by a color spray. He ceased burning tin. Thank the Tin Captain, thank Cappie Capone, thank him for this blessing. Thank him for laying this at Copper's feet. Copper Copper clicked his tongue. Door, door, suit, and shoe click, Copper Copper glared at the copper hick. He tore his eyes away. Couldn't be caught, not with this blessing. Blessing from the Tin Hand of the Lord Ruler. He was recruiting the best way he knew how. Copper Copper clicked his tongue. Knock, knock, click, and knock, Copper Copper waited for the door to unlock. Door to door, man to man to woman to child, he had visited them all. One time Copper Copper had been explained the human psyche by Tin Capone, bless the man. Carrot and Stick. First, you shower praise, Capone had said, you offer gifts, rewards, and promises. Then, when that doubtless didn't work, you offered cold steel and colder threats until they broke or bent. Bless the man, and bless his wisdom. Copper Copper clicked his tongue. Wood, steel, iron, and brass, Copper Copper stepped back smoothly when the door opened fast. Pure luck, but could anything be called luck when sent by the Lord Ruler's chosen? "Who're you?" Copper Copper clicked his tongue. Words, sound, say, and pray. "The name's Copper Copper, and today's your lucky day!" "Don't seem so lucky. Why're you here?" "I am a member of the Metal Mob, also called the Mobborn-" The door shut. Not even enough time for the stick, Copper Copper mourned. Copper Copper clicked his tongue. Step, crack, moss, and stone, he moved to the house that stood alone. He walked up the steps. Knock, knock, click, and knock, Copper Copper waited for the door to open. It did not. Copper Copper knocked again, knock, knock, click, knock, knock, and BOOM! Copper Copper clicked his tongue no longer. In fact, the only sound was the clink of a coin hitting the ground, and slowly spinning to a halt. The door opened. Dakker stepped out, and before the coin rested on the ground, it flew to his hand. He admired it for a moment, bloody and gleaming, "Such a waste," he murmured, then dropped it to the ground once again. Tassels swirled and Dakker flew. ~ Today had been a good day for Reve. She’d been able to claim a new shadow and a new body. Her old one had been too badly damaged by the coins, but DeTess’s former body was mostly intact, just missing a bit of blood. Perfectly suitable for her needs. Tonight would be a break for her, for there was no scent of impending death. Not ideal, but it gave her time to focus on another lead, a stranger who reeked of past death. She forced her new body’s lips into a smile. Perhaps this would finally be her chance to escape Tyrian Falls and begin harvesting shadows from the entire world. ~ DeTess has been exed! She was an Iron Informer and an Experimental Coinshot. Stick. she/her Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Good So Silho’s a soother. Which means a smoker probably exists. I wonder why the elims didn’t have DeTess send in the kill? Aman was less likely to roleblock somebody already slated to die. Unless that’s exactly what he did.
