Two village Coinshots is a bit unusual, but so is two elim Coinshots. Hm.

You really think that e!Alpha would be a CS?

Sorry, I'm a little confused what you're talking about. Me? What do you expect I'm lying about?

EDIT: What did you edit in btw?

If you’re elim, I think you’re lying about being a Coinshot.

I just think that e!Silho would have remembered to create his PMs if DeTess was submitting the kills like that's a waste of a solid alibi

Another problem with e!Silho is their C2 vote tbh. They knew were likely to successfully soothe a vote off themself, in which case DeTess was the lead exe as far as the elims were concerned. Why wouldn’t e!Silho vote for DeTess at that stage? They instead voted for JNV around 1.5 hours before rollover. That vote achieved nothing for e!Silho- voting DeTess would’ve left them with some distancing and voting me (or v!Aman) would’ve given their partner a 50% chance of survival.

Edit:

Considering the C1 vote in an e!Silho world:

It's reasonable to assume that DeTess would have agreed on an NK target with their teammate before logging off for the cycle, yes?

Scenario A:

  • The elims had intended to kill Araris. But around 2 hours to rollover, e!Silho for some reason adds a second vote to Araris, bringing him into the 3-way tie. Instead of adding to any of the four village wagons present, e!Silho decides to attempt exeing their NK target. As Silho is a soother (passive action) and created no PMs D1, perhaps at this point they go and override the Araris kill order and change it maybe Mat or JNV as everyone else was pretty much on the table realistically. Around 40 minutes later though Silho changes their vote to Archer cuz Aman asked (?). They indicate that this is their last post for the cycle, locking that vote in as their final. At this point they go and place the kill back on Araris, despite the possibility of that wagon actually taking off while Silho was away.

Scenario B:

  • The elims had intended to kill Archer (possible, as the Archer wagon did not exist while DeTess was here, and they had him in their positive/neutral pile). e!Silho votes Araris over Archer cuz why not but panics at the slightest inquiry regarding this and quickly switches to Archer. At this point they override the existing Archer kill order by one on Araris and turn in for the day, despite the possibility of the Araris wagon actually taking off while Silho was away.

Scenario C:

  • The elims had intended to kill someone other than Araris/Archer. Perhaps Mat or JNV. It doesn't matter to e!Silho who dies to the exe now, so all their actions are justifiable as elim apathy. But for some inexplicable reason eSilho overrides the existing kill order and changes it to Araris.

idk none of these scenarios are particularly convincing :P

Lookin good tbh

You could join me on Silho :P they can’t NK the both of us, so we should catch them in the act if wrong, and I’d rather eliminate a potential e!Soother when we have more players for the votes.

@Matrim's Dice

I don’t really think Shining is elim though. Soother doesn’t strike me as the only effective role to give to the elims, and numbers won’t be an issue tomorrow if we’re wrong.

I would condense onto JNV but I really don’t know what to make of Alpha’s responses to me

If Silho doesn't get exed Aman can roleblock their soothe next cycle (right?) if he lives.

idk they're gonna die to the filter I think xD

I cry every time I have to do this :( I hope the quokkas don’t hate me

JNV

Just want to point out since deTess had no action and the Tineye action doesnt do anything C1 theres no reason why they wouldnt have made a PM while I submitted the kill like the only roleblocker did something else so yeah but its ok the quokkas that definitely exist and definitely depend on my life for continued food and shelter will probably forgive you when I dont return from this town see its smiling

Spoiler

Im feeling Silhouette over Alpha cause of the way DeTess kept tying Silhouette to Stick and like a lot of the time there were bits where they didnt need to be tearing up Alphas statements and stuff like honestly in my heart I kinda suspect Alpha tonally just a little but Alpha feels more like post silhouette Stick vote cycles fall guy

Hm. I did consider this, but I didn't put a lot of stock in it since I thought you might have been busy IRL and perhaps did not have time to coordinate the kill submission.

Y’all can condense, but I honestly think Silho over JNV.

Silho is already dying to the filter :P We might get both flips! idk if that's good or bad tho

Edit:

Nope im dumb the inactivity filter is 2 cycles not 1!!!

XD I saw that and was like wha… but I guessed you meant something else

ima keep pushing for a silho exe, (I don’t want to bring the wrath of the quokkas upon me)

I still prefer Silho. I feel like DeTess and Silho hadn’t ended up cross voting because they hoped either Stick or JNV would gain traction without them. Or maybe that’s the quokkas speaking…

Posted (edited)

Alright, so nobody is getting filtered out any time soon. JNV has the most votes atm right? Then Silho. we're at abt 15 mins to rollover as I type, but it'll probably be closer to ten by the time I'm done. Um…

Let's see. If JNV gets exed and flips v, the next most likely suspect in the majority of people's opinions is Silho, then probably me tbh

Okay! I honestly don't exactly know where I was tryna go with that. eh, oh well

EDIT: I just looked, and there's 6 players left. The possibilities in my mind are:

5S:1I

4S:2I

2S:3M:1I

3S:2M:1I

Those last 2 are only possibilities assuming there is a Mobborn Faction, obviously. We'll see who flips and what. Keeping my vote on Silho.

Cycle Four: Bad Boys, Bad Boys

For the first time in three days, the people of Tyrian Falls made a decision. “I hear Jen’s been spying on our private communications.”

“They force us to send all our letters by quokka delivery. If we got rid of them, we’d be able to send messages much faster.

“They’re letting those quokkas do all the work, leaving them enough time to sneak around in the dark. Who knows what they’ve gotten up to? I bet they killed Cloudy Copper and Copper Copper. They won’t rest until they’ve slaughtered every Copper in the Final Empire!”

“...Right. Anyway, all in favor of apprehending Jen?”

“Wait!” Storm cried. “I don’t like the looks of those quokkas. Why don’t we go after someone safer, like Silho?”

“The man who punched a Spiked so hard she died? Those quokkas will be easy to handle. They’re so small after all, how bad can they be?”

~

Jen was desperately trying to get their quokkas to behave when the village found them. “Even if Im gone youll still help the village deliver their letters yes you will the town needs them I think they can still beat the informers and the mob who probably exist I mean there was that one guy who died but there must be more.” The quokkas chittered angrily at the intruders. Jen looked up and addressed them.

“Sorry sorry its just that my quokkas depend on me for so much and theyre so useful to the town and if you could just give them a chance and not make them angry theyd appreciate it so much and find the informers for you I think its Silhouette because honestly that fight was so suspicious I think he was working with DeTess.

The villagers blinked for a few seconds, then their faces hardened. Too late. Jen had already opened the quokka pen and hundreds of quokkas spilled out, trampling everything in their path. “Run!” the leader shouted, and the whole group scattered, fleeing for their lives barely ahead of the storm of quokkas. Only Jen didn’t run, crushed to death under the weight of their beloved pets.

Scarthroat had checked all the designated meeting places and found nothing, not even a note explaining the mobborn’s disappearance. The only thing she had found was Copper Copper’s dead body, unceremoniously left on the ground with a hole in his head where a coin had pierced it. Somebody was going to pay for this, and she’d start with whoever was trying to sneak up on her. She spun around, stabbing with a knife. The blade was intercepted, grabbed out of the air before it could pierce the chest of the woman who had been standing behind her. How had she gotten so close without her noticing? More importantly, why wasn’t she bleeding? She’d grabbed the blade of a glass knife in her bare hand, yet there was no evidence that it had cut her.

Scarthroat grabbed a second knife with her left hand and buried it in the hollow of the unmoving woman’s throat. She gave no indication that this had harmed her at all, pulling the knife out while Scarthroat was still holding it to reveal a red line but no spilled blood.

Scarthroat stumbled backwards, releasing her grip on her two knives and drawing a third. She stared at the unharmed woman who was making no move to attack, trying to remember her. Something about her was so familiar, like she should know her. Yet there was no way she would have forgotten either her appearance or her physical talents. “Who are you?” she rasped out. “What do you want?”

“I. am. Reve,” she said, sounding like each word required considerable effort to speak. The hole in her throat couldn’t have been doing her any favors in that regard. “I. am. your. patron.”

As she spoke, Scarthroat’s perception of Reve changed, every word making her feel closer to her, like she was a trusted friend she’d known all her life. With the last word though, Scarthroat snarled. She wasn’t going to let this woman have power over her, no matter that that prospect felt far more appealing than it had when anyone else demanded it. Her youngest brother had tried to manipulate her mind too, but rioting her feelings of guilt and pity hadn’t been enough to stop her from killing him. She would find a way to kill this woman too, no matter how much her mind screamed that she belonged with her.

Reve walked up to her, holding both knives by the blade as she offered them back to Scarthroat. She began to speak again, her pauses growing less frequent, as she got more used to her body’s voice. “Claim this. town for. the mob. Kill any. person I. desire. In return. you get me. and my talents.”

Scarthroat’s resolve began to crumble. She was already planning to claim this town for the mob, for herself once she assumed leadership. She had no qualms about killing anyone, so that part would be acceptable, even if the thought of being ordered to do so rankled. Those downsides were insignificant compared to the promise of having Reve by her side. If she could do this to her, surely together they could easily gain control of the mob and spread its influence across the Final Empire.

“I won’t kill those loyal to me,” she agreed, taking her knives back. Reve nodded assent. “And, I need something to remember you by.” She dug the sharpened fingernails of her left hand into the open wound in Reve’s throat, coating her fingers red. She licked them clean, confirming that no matter what Reve’s powers were, she was still made of flesh and blood. Next, she pulled a glass needle and red thread out of another pocket.

“Even if you make me forget you again, I’ll remember that you’re mine when I see these red stitches in your throat. Removing them means reneging on our agreement.”

Reve nodded. “Make your stitches.”

Scarthoat stepped forwards and began sewing the wound in Reve’s throat closed. Already, the false sensation that Reve was her close and trusted friend was fading, but that was alright. They had a stronger bond now, forged through mutual benefit. “Our first step is hunting down whoever killed Copper Copper. He was a liability, but outsiders cannot be allowed to kill members of the mob with impunity. If his death was instead the work of renegade mobborn, they will be given one chance to prove their loyalty before I sacrifice them to you.”
