Fortunately, the mechanism had a built-in failsafe such that if it were to be destroyed, it would activate anyway. You are launched through a bunch of silver into a bubble of frozen time.

The bubble being popped, the substance causing the stoppage of time is no longer contained and washes over you as well.

Everything in the universe has entered slow time, so it makes absolutely no difference. I duralumin Ironpull the nose of the jet, making it crash down. I then steal the sandwhich.

Is anyone still selling chouta-popsicles?

I would argue that it does make a difference, as things within stopped time cannot change whereas things within slowed time can. Bartholomew is angry that you crashed the jet and eat your sandwhich. Luckily, you didn't steal the sandwich.

I use cytonic powers (they're FTL, Read [Skyward] And Find Out) to set up an inhibition field so the stoppage no longer works.

Your papers are missing something that proves your Identity. Whilst you're trying to get duralumin spikes to work, I steal the sandwich and trap it in a duralumin-cadmium bubble, so anyone who tries to get it will be frozen.
