I'm just asking a question," Grace replied.

“Hey Grace.” Saaphir called, sliding down the rope and limping over. “Could you use your magic water to heal my foot? It got shot up real bad.”

“Relatively speaking. I’m not injured ‘real bad’, comparitively, but as far as getting shot in the foot goes, its bad.”

"Let me see it," said Grace, pulling out the flask.

Saaphir had expected it to hurt, but he felt only a warm feeling, and a slight pressure. He stood, finding his foot completely normal, if still covered in blood.

“Thank you so much Grace.” He said. He jogged over to John, and sat down next to him.

“How’s life been treating ya?”

Aight - Let's get crack'n

Flipping a knife over in her fingers absently, Elya stared up into the sky. Her gaze was distant and unfocused, but she looked plenty calm and collected besides.

One hand rested on her stomach, which was now full from the food that the man called John had prepared. Of all the things she'd eaten in the alleyways, it certainly wasn't bad. She found it enjoyable to eat, in fact--much like this place here. Homely, yes, but home-like too. In her years throughout the city, Elya had found that these areas weren't squalid--only humble. Cozy, tight-knit, and comforting.

If any kind of normal life were available to her, this would be the kind of place to do it.

Death follows you. It'll follow you anywhere.

She sat up, stretching. A bit of strength was returning to her appendages, despite the pain and dried blood. Color and feeling. It was the kind of thing people never really noticed until it was gone. Given another day, perhaps, she could start making her way around the alleys herself.

After then, they'd have to leave. If the Reapers intended to follow them--not that they'd have a choice in the matter--then staying in once place for any extended period of time was dangerous. Gathering rumors, pinpointing locations, and watching carefully were all skills they happened to be remarkably proficient in. They'd ask around for a few days, place a few bribes, and generally keep an eye out. It had only taken the Reapers a day to find the hospital: if they were lucky, it would take them another few to find this place. By then they'd be long gone, removing all the locals from the equation. Such elite Mystics wouldn't be concerned about anyone being caught in the crossfire, and the blood of these people wasn't the kind she wanted on her hands.

For now, though, she just glanced down at the little nook below, watching the people mingle--content in their happy little world.

still covered in blood

You know, every single person who has been healed by Grace has mentioned that so far. Which is funny, because there actually wouldn't be any left, since Grace isn't one to let excess blood go to waste. :P

"What's going on with you?"

Oh, I guess I have to have Ji go and do whatever it is I wanted him to do.

Ji let out a breath, his anger steaming off as he turned to Lynaör. “You ready?” He turned to the rest of the group. “Unless anyone else wants to come..?”

“I honestly don’t care,” he said, letting out another breath. “If you wanna come, then come. I can’t force you to stay if you wanna come.”

“Running around with this group of interesting people. Speaking of which…” Saaphir jogged over to Ji. “I’d like to come, if you’ll have me.”

Spoiler

Name: Cephus Wittebane (Or Ceph)

Pronouns: He/Him

Age: 43

Nationality: Native Southern Corhic

Appearance: Dark tan skin tone, with black colored hawk feather hair. Lavender eye color, and gray blue feathers lining his face. Wears a black t-shirt underneath a deep purple coat, which is zipped up to the middle. Well-worn cargo pants cover his legs, and they are light gray in color, with black sneakers. Hidden inside his coat is a knife, one he always keeps on his person.

Personality: Honestly, he's a pretty intimidating guy, but he's a generally mellow one. He just looks like he could kill you. He won't (probably). Ceph has an EXTENSIVE sense of humor and knowledge, and can tell you about history any day, although you probably won't want to hear it. He's got a soft side when it comes to what he calls "flightlings," which are really just people below the age of 25, which is what he considers young.

Mystic? Yes

Type of Mystic (if applicable): Transporter (He can do what he calls Transparency, and move through walls, and other objects that are less than 2 feet thick. He's working right now on summoning what he calls Feathers, which are certain people or animals who help him. He's becoming quite experienced.)

Backstory (optional): He doesn't like to talk about it.

Misc:

  • Typically distrustful of people older than him by at least 5 years. (48 and above)
  • Spends his weekends in the library, unless he's out on his part time job, bounty hunting. In a big city like this, that's good money right there.
  • During the week, he helps people out, which is difficult when you look intimidating as he does.
  • His house holds all his bounty hunting gear, which is miscellaneous weapons, and some stealth gear. Partial to traditional melee weapons rather than guns and that sort.

Uhhhhh here's my character, I probably spent way too long making this but uh yeah also can someone catch me up on where we are

*sorry for the double post :|

if there's anything I need to edit, lmk. i would like to participate in this as much as I can :D

They're talking about going to find a healer, right?

They’re going out to get supplies (i.e., bandages).

Looks good, though I would not have him have that much stuff under one category. If ya need something for reference, think of an anime and how they have a specific power that can do one thing unless it doesn’t, but we don’t talk about them :)) and that’s basically what I’m going for. I just think his powers are a wee bit on the op side, but it looks fine.

Mhm, mhm, mhm. If I may give some justification, I've made it so that he's good at Transparency, has minor proficiency in summoning Feathers, but sucks at the mind reading bit. This leaves room open for improvement, but that probably won't happen, I'm content with the powers. I sound selfish and defensive, I will stop now.

now where is the story at right now i am not reading 54 pages aaaaaaaaa

I see your justification and substitute it for my own. I dunno if you saw my and Frustration’s conversation about this, but to basically sum it up: I’m fine with having two and maybe more powers. I think two is fine, but three is kind of pushing it. I mean, you could bring up Q/Yulong as an argument, but she is a very very special case that delves into spoilers for the series that I want to write someday.

My suggestion would just be to maybe get rid of the mind reading bit, if it won’t be of use.

“A safehouse. To get supplies.”
