  1. Guessing that most of the people that will read this will read it in the morning ya know,, when people are supposed to be awake lolll, so.. eh, I’m not sorry.

As some of you know, I will be serving a full-time proselytizing mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; even smaller amount of you will know that I will officially be set apart (or, officially become) a missionary on August 13th, 2023 (today for when most of y’all will read this), and begin my missionary training on August 14th, 2023 (this upcoming Monday, or tomorrow when most of y’all will read this). This means that I will be taking about 18 months of my life to serve the people in the area I have been assigned to as well as step away from things and websites such as these.

I thought about leaving without saying a word, but I then thought to at least say something before I go, even though I’m sure that most of you don’t read my status’ anyway.

Anyways, I ain’t gonna be sappy or anything like that; I just wanted to let y’all know where I’m going to be and not to really “mourn” or freak out that I’m gone or something stupid like that, ‘cause I’m not dying or anything like that. I know y’all have a tendency to do that, so I’m setting the record straight: I am leaving, but I’m leaving for what I believe and know to be a good cause. I know that not all of you share the same sentiment, but all I ask for is some understanding and respect for my decision, if you will; that’s all I’m asking.

Know that y’all aren’t alone and that there is a whole wide world beyond this website. Don’t get me wrong: I’ve met some amazing people and have had some of the best creative writing exercises here, but you can experience that in the world (if you are able, of course; not assuming that all of you are basement dwellers or something like that).

There is more out there, and you can find it anywhere: Religion, Science, Fantasy Books, Art, Television Shows, and so on; you have to be the one that takes the first step.

That’s all from me, though. God be with you all till we meet again~ <3

:D:D:DI’m so happy for you!!! (I know this is a couple days late but idc)

  2. Nobody’s up on the Shard, except for me and like,, 5-6 other people lolll. Anyways, “When Marnie Was There” is really heccn’ good. This will most definitely be the last time I post my art before my mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I literally get set apart and become a full-time proselytizing missionary tomorrow (or, if you’re one of those people, later today), and then start my home missionary training this upcoming Monday. Can’t say that I will miss this website, but I will miss the community and creativity. Know that I won’t be gone forever maybe, and that no matter what happens – whether or not I will come back in the next 18 months – never stop being creative. Don’t let my departure taint the creativity not that it has in the first place. Keep creating new things and share them here; I have learned that people love to see creativity, no matter if you think that the stuff you create is “bad.” God be with all of you till we meet again <3
  3. Why has no one replied to this? This is a dope idea and I want in. I also will only be able to participate till mid August for LDS mission reasons.
  4. Only like,, most of the month has passed. Just been busy preparing for the mission and all that. I watched the new Spiderverse movie (because one of my best friends forced me to see it lolll), and it’s SO HECKN’ GOOD. Go watch it if you can :))
  5. Pro tip for anyone who’s preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints right now: Watch the SafetyZone videos BEFORE you go out on your mission while you’re able to do things, such as play video games.
  6. This past Tuesday (May 30th, 2023), I received my mission call.

I will be serving as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Lansing, Michigan Mission for 18 months (which is about a year and a half), beginning August 14th, 2023 :D

For those who might not know what a missionary is or what a mission entails, it’s basically where the missionary – in this case, me – will basically put everything about my life right now (such as schooling) on hold and devote 18 months to serving God and those in the area I’ve been assigned to.

I will be doing things such as proselytizing, and also general service like helping people with yard work or other assorted activities if it’s required of me. I will not be active on any of my social media accounts (except maybe my personal Facebook that basically no one on here knows, depending on what my mission president [my boss, basically] says), including the 17th Shard even tho I’m not particularly active on here in the first place lolll.

I will be trying to keep a emailing list where I will send out emails about what I did the previous week at least once a week. If any of you want to be on that list, feel free to PM me on here (of if y’all have my Discord, do that) since I don’t want y’all to just give your personal emails on a very public website.

I’m very excited, and I also have very little time to prepare, but I know that it will be worth it.

Note: I also considered not saying where I was going for my mission, then realized that literally no one besides a very very small handful of people know my actual name; anyone who knows where I live is smaller than that, so it really doesn’t matter.

But yeah :)) Y’all have me for a limited amount of time before I am gone for 18 months to serve the Lord.

In other words, heyyyyyyy, I wrote something that’s not responding to the Zvso rp.

You can read it here or pretend that you read it or just ignore me:

Ain’t even gonna try and fit it all in a spoiler box.

It’s a revise of an old piece of writing that I’m pretty sure I never shared on here, and I won’t give the original since it’s very crappy and clunky <3

  8. “Tress of the Emerald Sea” should be adapted and animated by Studio Ghibli, something like “Castle in the Sky” or “Howl’s Moving Castle.” The Hoid narrating thing can be done like with Kuzco from “The Emperor’s New Groove.”

I will not be taking “no” for an answer.

I like it. Muppet Treasure Island vibes.

    3. Edema Rue

      Edema Rue

Counter-counter proposal: all of the above, so muppet treasure island studio ghibli Kuzco.

    4. Slowswift

I had not considered this, but now I too will not take "no" for an answer.

  9. I got “Baby” by Justin Bieber stuck in my head and I have no clue how to get it out.
  10. Since I have no idea who that is and also no idea who I referenced, might as well be. Only a few of them are partial to murder, pffft. Although, if you’re referring to the drawing of the six peeps I drew, I’ll give you the skinny on how meeting them would be like: Yulong: Would not murder on the spot most likely. Will only take you a few.. years or so to break down her walls to actually see that she’s a nice person, although very very traumatized Sage: Very nice; very wholesome dude. If you like wholesome people, you and him will be besties Kasha: mmMmMmmMMmMMm, might murder because she feels like it Ji: Also might murder, depending on if you side with the government Haruh: Can and will murder, but probably won’t unless told to And Khusa: Also can and will murder, but he would emotionally damage and manipulate you first
  11. I accidentally leave for like,, a month or two and people are freaking out now that I decided to be a bit more active lolll. Love you guys <3
  12. It’s called practice and listening to music.. and also banana bread. Banana bread helps out a lot.
  13. K, when I said that I would disappear for a month or so, I didn’t think I would actually mean it, but here we are. Anyways, uh yeah. I’ve been doing really good! :)) I just came back from lifting a buncho beeg rocks, so I’m buff now. Working on getting through The Lost Metal, and it’s heccn’ good so far. I have over 170 notifications on here that I’m just not going to look at. So yeah. I dunno how many people look at my stuff anymore since my activity is fairly.. inconsistent. Uh.. on to the arts! there’s quite a few so sit back and relax
  14. I’m sorry I gave you like 50 different notifications, but I literally just logged on for the first time in a month or so lollll. All of these are absolutely beautiful!!
  15. For all of y’all’s consideration: Any of the Cosmere books, but an anime.

Pro 1: The characters would translate well to the anime art styles; like there would be a different art style for each series, like Mistborn would have a style similar to “Bungou Stray Dogs” while Stormlight would have a style similar to.. I dunno, “Demon Slayer” or something.

    Exhibit A

Some accidental concept art of Kaladin Stormblessed by me from this past Inktober

    Exhibit B

Some more accidental concept art of Vin by me from this past Inktober

    Exhibit B 1/2

Tarrlok from “Legend of Korra” already looks like Kaladin. Just add a shash brand and it would be him.

    .. actually, lemme just

Pro 2: Fight scenes would look heccn’ cool! Think of Mistborn; it’s already basically anime if you think about it: Big swords, logic-defying jumps, captivating storyline, many characters, and metal. Lots of metal.

Sadly, I cannot animate and I can’t think of any anime fight scenes off the top of my head that would fit, but I have a feeling that “Attack on Titan” fight scenes give off that vibe; I’ve yet to see the anime because I am very much lazy, so maybe ask someone else.

Pro 3: Our favorite characters would have hot anime art to go with it. If I could word this better, I would; but I think y’all would get the main idea.

Pro 4: Sanderson wouldn’t be constrained to find live-action actors that look like the Cosmere cast as it would just be drawn and animated. Like seriously: How can authors pass up animation for that? Seems like too much of a headache to even attempt.

Pro 5: The humor in the books would be funny in anime format loll. Imagine Kaladin becoming more chibi when Shallan does the boots thing; imagine the expressions and the memes that could come out of that. I not realize that this is a long shot, but eh; worth a shot anyways.

Pro 6: Wouldn’t have to condense a 600+ page book into an hour an a half or more movie. I know that Sanderson plans on having a live-action show, but ya know.

Pro 7 though i think this is personal tasteEverything sounds cooler in Japanese. Seriously. Go to your settings on a movie or show and switch it to Japanese; the audio won’t be synced up with the lips, but it would sounds way cooler.

    And the cons:

Con 1: Sanderson has already said that he plans on having a live-action show for at least Stormlight Archive and probably Mistborn. I think that explains itself.

Con 2: Anime does take a whole hecc of a lot of work to put into. I dunno if y’all hear what kind of labor goes on at anime studios when they are making an anime, but it certainly is a trip, and less favorable with certain studios. Animation takes a lot, and it would most likely had to be hand-drawn on a computer or something along those lines.

Con 3: Anime takes a lot of money too. Though some (maybe most, idk) anime studios do not pay their animators well and focus it to other things that can depend on the studio, that’s a lot of cash going into this thing that people might not even like, which brings me to…

Con 4: Not everyone likes anime. I know some people who can’t get into anime because of the art style or other assorted reasons, and the same might apply to the Sanderfans if Sanderson decides to scrap the live-action idea and do anime; might not be a worthy thing to invest in.

I’m sure that there are more cons, but I can’t think of any right now. I was thinking about this because I finally have been sitting down and reading Elantris for the first time. Anyways, ima go back to that and might just disappear again lolll.

  16. Been dealing with a migraine for the past two days or so (which has been thankfully been getting better), but it’s been an adventure where my brain and eyes wanted to stab themselves :)) But I figure that I should share some of le thingys I made over the past almost month before I disappear again
  17. In the middle of a migraine for the past day or two.
  18. Generally speaking, yeah. If we allow ourselves to wallow in self-pity or being in the pits of the pits, that’s where we’re going to stay for the next however long; however, it is never too late to look up and forward to the future. Little steps to achieving that brighter future are everything; you may make a huge step every once in a while, but it’s the little decisions that lead up to those big and grand life-changing steps. There basically one direction you can go when you’ve stopped, and that’s forward. You can try to go back or move off to the side, but you won’t achieve that brighter future and hope if you do that.
  19. "I dunno, Ranfast. I think the name suits you," she commented as she tapped her cane a few times. "Although, I guess we'll see as time goes on." Kasha leaned forward on her cane, watching the Honqip man disappear, then looking around the small lobby area. Definitely was the person she thought it was. Vague memories of seeing this building when she was in this part of town last crossed her mind, and also memories of not giving it much attention came as well. Kasha never had motivation or intention to ever come in, and it was about what she expected... not that she was expecting something grand and elegant from this part of the City Region. Obtaining a building––of three stories, no less––in this sketchy part of Validus must have been a miracle from Vrual and Knali Themselves. She must have gotten on good terms with the High Autarch. Kasha looked towards Alyxa, tilting her head ever so slightly. Hmm... relatively good terms. "Sounds wonderful, Miss Tantel!" she said, smiling as she took a step forward. "And I hope that you will address Iduno's question when we get there..?"
