  1. "Well, if you are Exhilarated like me, you would have to move around; can't activate your Talent just by sitting down and doing nothing. I honestly can't remember what the other do, but I know that the Imaginative have to do something creative or blah blah blah, something sneaky and probably illegal for the Deceptive, thinking something good or want peace and love and whatever for the Counselors, and something smart thingy for the Scholars." Without hesitation, Kasha whipped out her side-pistol, aiming down the silver sights at the new Xefic. Short hair, like Iduno or whatever his actual name is or was. Apparently... interesting. She quickly looked the newcomer up and down, tapping her cane a few times before smiling and sliding the pistol in her holster. "Just your average alley conversation," Kasha replied cheerfully. Her gaze then flicked to the unconscious robber. "Don't mind him. He's just taking a nap right now."
  2. "I mean––" she shrugged, scratching the back of her head "––you probably already took the test and already 'know,' in a sense, what your Talent is, so all we have to do is simulate situations where we could activate that."
  3. "Well, yeah. They might think it odd that a Xefic with amnesia is doing it again, but ya know ya know. It is what it is."
  4. "That's a minor detail," she said, waving her hand in the air. Kasha tilted her head at him. "By the way, did you change your hair color recently? Rainbow looks nice on you," she said with a wicked grin.
  5. "The standard boring test?" Kasha rubbed her temple. "That's the one everyone has to take when they turn ten, because everyone has a gift and therefore, a Talent because Vrual and Knali blessed us and blah blah blah. They'd have you do boring tasks, like reading, drawing, writing, running, talk to people; blah blah, you name it, you did it. Then they had the gall to tell us to do more like 'search within yourself' to 'find that fire,' and 'magic' and 'rainbows' and yeah."
  6. "I thought we already agreed that your name is Iduno for now," she hummed. "Well, Xefic is the race that you are, much how I am Fujakian." Kasha reached up and wiggled her earlobe, earrings jingling against one another almost harmoniously.
  7. Kasha pursed her lips, looking at Iduno up and down, then tapped her cane with a ringed finger. "Is there anything that you do recall?"
  8. "I dunno, man," Kasha said, yanking her cane from out of the ground. "You Xefic are a strange bunch with your hair. Only met one or two of you––besides yourself––and anytime I asked about it, they always said something like: 'Don't touch my hair, you weirdo,' or 'Why would I cut off a part of me?' "As for you not feeling useless." She looked up, and leaned forward on her cane to look more closely at him. "Did you ever take that goldarn test they always make us take at ten or did you somehow skip out on that? If you skipped out on that, tell me how."
  9. "I dunno." Kasha shrugged. "Validus always had a weird feel to it, not to mention what sorta gang activity that goes on and now the factor–– wait, you meant your hair, did you?"
  10. She stuck her cane in the ground, raising a hand to shake. "Name's Kasha," she said with a smile. "Pleasure to meet and work with you, Mister Iduno."
  11. "No, there's a pattern to this; I'm just not seeing it." Kasha bit her finger a little bit, then just smiled. "I'm sure we'll figure it out, like we can figure out what what's-his-face can do over here."
  12. She brought her hand up to her lips, tilting her head from side to side. “More people on our side certainly would help us, even if they might not be of much help except at death fodder. I have nothing against that,” Kasha thought aloud. “Even if the police were to evacuate half or more of the alleys, we have no guarantee that they won’t strike in people’s homes, since there have been reports of people found murdered in their homes in the same exact way as those in alleys; besides, we also have no guarantee that people will stay out of those alleys.”
  13. I dunno why or how, but Equestria Girls slaps, especially the soundtrack.
  14. "No," she muttered, shaking her head. "There are too many alley's in the city to even count. We can't be that lucky to happen to find the right one. If we stake out, we're putting who knows how many lives at stake for the chance that we might catch them."
  15. Kasha paused, tapping the handle of her cane. "Not yet," she muttered, tapping faster. "The rogue is unpredictable. No one knows where they come from or where they go once they're done. They are reported to move fast and quietly. They don't have a pattern to killing the people, except..." She started to pace around, her eyes brightening. "Except for that they only work in the darkness of night or an alleyway. We find the alleyway and the night they strike, we can take care of them; easy as one-two-three, but..." Kasha's gaze fell. "But we don't know where they'll hit next. They're unpredictable and no one knows how they can go about the city undetected." Tap... tap... tap... "They leave no evidence, besides the dead body, of course. But the bodies are always checked from head to toe with nothing to be found. What to do about that...?"
  16. "Been inside a few times to visit some people; also been to some Fujakian jails too. Compared to eating rotten garbage and sleeping on wood that gives you thousands of splinters, I would say that jail is a little upgrade."
  17. "The man is starving and in need of somewhere to stay," she said, gesturing to the man as she picked up her cane. "He won't be getting any valuables or food from people if he keeps that up, let alone a place to stay; best option I can give him is turn him over to the police where he is out of the elements and at least has some food in his stomach."
  18. "Oh...?" Kasha raised an eyebrow for a second, pondering for a moment, then smiled. "I'm sure that you will find what you're missing." "So you've met a rogue, and you're an expert on this? Does that mean that you can take over the investigation?"
  19. Kasha blinked at the Xefic man. "Yeah," she said slowly. "The rogue Talented? The person who's been murdering random people with barely a trace? That person." Kasha scratched the back of her head. "Honestly surprised that at least one person hasn't heard about them."
  20. Kasha stuck her cane in the ground. "First of all," she said, bringing up both hands to count, "the rogue is smaller than I am according to eyewitnesses. Second of all, why would the rogue kill in bright daylight then talk to their friend as if nothing happen? And third of all, I don't think the rogue uses a cane like me."
  21. "And not let him have the chance to be warm and well-fed at the police station? Now, I'm not a monster, Ranfast." She looked to the Xefic man. "Oh, you know, just a guy that wanted to rob me, so I defended myself by giving him a good wacky-wacky with this." Kasha lifted her cane a little bit. "The usual, and not crazy."
