The pinprick of Light was small. The closer she looked at it, the more details she saw. The dark blue light swirled, speckles of white manifesting with every new swirl. Swirls of violet came into play, hints of maroon accenting the existing colors. Though the Light was small, it was as if looking into a new galaxy; as if Ko'ad Himself had just shared the tiniest fragment of His creation. If she were to squint, it almost seemed like she could see into a different dimension.

What sort of colors would she see if she were to look at people with different Mystic aspects? Would that change for magic items?

Would that change for magic items? Quote She would have to look past their Essence to see the Mystic Light, which is just basically the equivalent of squinting at the sun. But the colors are as so: Spoiler Life: Bright yellow with gold. Every so often, it can appear––especially in objects––as dark forest green swirled with lighter shades of chestnut brown and hints of dark sea blue every here and there Death: Black and white, but mostly black; my idea behind what it looks like together is you know when you add drops of paint to a different color of paint and use a toothpick to mix it a tiny bit? It’s like that. Space: You just saw the colors for that, or dark blue with speckles of white, accented by swirls of violet and maroon. If you looked up pictures of the galaxy, the colors and how they’re formed together is what I’m going for. Time: Light silver with dark shades of gray mixed in, little pops of blue appearing every once in a while. When looking at it, you get the feeling of either everything seeming to be speeding up or slowing down around the person/object in question. Chaos: Deep wine red with little watercolor drops of orange; and every so often, little flashes of dark yellow appear. At times, it seems that the orange is taking over the red; but other times, it looks like there is more red than there is orange. Order: Very light blue, almost bordering on white. If you’ve seen Avatar: The Last Airbender and when the Avatar in in the Avatar State, the colors of their eyes is basically what color I was thinking of; the color can be seen mostly in Legend of Korra when Korra is in the Avatar State. Remembrance: Light and airy red––not at all bright––with swirls of warm orange and yellow. Most people when they look at it think are often reminded of the good memories, often associated with their homes. Forgetfulness: Dull gray, maybe with little accents of white poking through. Looking at it can feel depressing at times, but also with a sense of peace; of not knowing what you may have been thinking about at that moment in time. And no, it would not change for items.

"Well," Ji responded, flustered, "Grace has a healing thingy." "Not a Lifegiver." "Ji, I think Gramps is right. We need a Lifegiver if we're going to have to fight those Mystics again."

It was a pair of glasses, so perhaps it let you see things in other places? She could think of several potential uses for that. She made her way into an open space and transitioned back into the Physical Realm. Quote How buried are the glasses?

xinoehp512 he/him Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Just now, Mystic Syn said: “Yeah, and where are we gonna find one? I don’t see ‘em bouncing for joy and lining up to join us.” As she did so, the glasses sparkled beneath some clothes. As nonchalantly as she could, Grace walked over and put the glasses on over her own.
Mystic Syn she/her Posted February 28, 2022 Author Posted February 28, 2022 As she slipped the glasses on, it first didn’t seem like anything had changed, till she looked over the people in the room. An ball of black and white emitted from Gramps’ chest. Maybe it would have been a tad bit brighter when he was younger, but it was still burning. When she looked up where his head was, pops of red came through as he talked with Ji. Looking over to who Gramps was talking to, Ji’s chest glowed with dark blues with the little spatter of white, but deep red splotches appeared every so often with the faintest hint of orange. The colors in his head was red, practically burning hot. However, there were splotches of gray, dark blue, and… was that pink? They popped out through the red, subduing its anger. Everyone had their own colors within them, except for Lyanör. If Grace were to look down at herself, she did not possess that same Light that most of the others held.
Going_North_cal Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Ceph grumbled as he had an inner battle with his psyche. He'd worked with Deathgranters before, they weren't the best. He felt an obligation to help those damned kids in resisting them. Yeah, but it wasn't his battle at all. Why should he help? Why should he risk his life for a few dumb kids? Because last time you had a chance to help, you stood on the side. Ceph froze. Those words sounded familiar. He turned around, and she was standing there. "You had a chance to help, and you watched." She said, pain bleeding through her tone. "I didn't mean-" He started, but he was cut off. "So you keep saying," She said, "You keep saying you didn't mean to, that you were waiting for a chance. But you weren't, were you? You just watched." "I did," Ceph whispered. "Don't do that this time." Ceph turned back around, putting her behind him. "I won't." He turned back around, but she was gone. He turned, walked to the door, grabbed his coat, threw it on, and walked outside. He started making his way back to Gramps' place. This time, he'd try and make a difference. Not be a bystander. Damn that woman, always trying to get him to do the right thing. Even if she wasn't there, she'd still do it.

Everyone had their own colors within them, except for Lyanör. If Grace were to look down at herself, she did not possess that same Light that most of the others held. Aha! Grace thought. They let me look into the Enchanted Realm! More than that, though, they filtered out the blinding Essence to reveal the Mystic Light that would have otherwise been too dim to see- kind of like the special glasses that one of her teachers had given her in order to look at the sun during an eclipse. In other words, they were perfect for a scholar of magic like her. She'd have to find some way to attach the lenses to her own glasses, though- there was little use in being able to see the colors of magic if her vision was too blurry to see what they were attached to. She replaced her own glasses behind the Spectacles of Discernment and took a glance around the room. Immediately catching her attention was the black and white coloration of the old man's soul. A Deathgranter, then. Well, that didn't necessarily mean he was crazy... but better to stay on his good side, just in case. Also eye-catching was the veritable rainbow of colors attached to the arrogant leader of the group. The telltale colors of Space and Chaos stood out the most, but there seemed to be hints of others as well. Grace smiled slightly. If his abilities were that scattered, he couldn't be very powerful. Almost as an afterthought, she looked down at herself. Her gloves glowed with red and gray, her knife with green and black, and her orb with blue and pink- but no light shone within her chest. She felt a slight tinge of disappointment. Certainly not unexpected; but she couldn't deny that she'd wondered if she might have a latent power of her own after hearing the tale from the wounded girl. Ah, well. She put the glasses away in a pocket. She'd have to experiment more with them later. 16 hours ago, DramaQueen said: "Ji, I think Gramps is right. Frustration Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 "I'm also curious, who are you fighting."
Mystic Syn she/her Posted February 28, 2022 Author Posted February 28, 2022 “The Pacis,” Ji said as if it were obvious. “Did you not hear what happened to that distribution center?” Gramps pointed a glare at him. “That was you?” “Yeah.” “I knew you were crazy. I just didn’t realize insane.”
Going_North_cal Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Ceph faded through the garage door again. He pointedly did not look at Gramps, but instead at who Gramps was looking at, who he assumed to be the leader of the group. "All I know is you're fighting Deathgranters. I know literally nothing else. I don't even know why I'm here, but I want to help. Give me something to do."

Mystic Syn she/her Posted February 28, 2022 Author Posted February 28, 2022 Ji let out a sigh, then looked back at the rest of the group as he picked up the first aid kits he collected. "Did everyone get what they wanted?"

Quivil Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 Quote Gramps could know 2EmLee2's character and say "ay there's this one lifegiver I know who wanted to do stuf" or "who was also hiding from the pacis" or something like that
