I have spent the last day reading SoS, which is why I wasn't really around for most of this thread, but I'm back now. I could post my audio if anyone wants it, but it should be pretty much exactly the same as FirstSelector's, except missing the last half hour, so I don't see much of a point.

First off, I found the quote I was looking for. Wait, Wax thought. Did I just get sarcastic with God Himself? Yes, you did, Harmony said. It is well. Few act that way toward me, even among the kandra. It feels good to me. Like older times. Since Kelsier . . . well, I haven't had much of that. Kelsier's also dead, which probably frees him up to do lots of things that would generally be impossible. Also, Sazed spoke to Vin and Elend when they were dead, so I would guess he would be able to speak to Kel as well.

My problem is, if they are trying to spike themselves into Mistborn, they could only pick one (or at most 2-3) to spike, but the Set is presumably more than that. Wouldn't they not want only a couple of their number to become all-powerful. If they are doing so, it's worth noting that in theory they could spike themselves a full Feruchemist Mistborn, potentially. That's a scary thought. Counter to that, if they are actually trying to breed themselves a Mistborn (which I find slightly more likely, given that they could raise this Mistborn exactly how they wanted), they might not know to be carefull not to get any Feruchemist blood into the bloodline. They do have Wax's sister, after all.

I'd like to return for a moment to the original topic. I think Kelsier is not still around to influence people, because Sazed says something along the lines of "after Kel, I don't have many people be snarky with me" (I don't have my book with me). This could be referring to Kelsier's death, but it seems much more likely to be saying that Kelsier isn't around anymore.

In that case, I will be recording the whole thing, including the signing. I'll be the girl in the blue-green tunic thing.

Hey. I'm going to the signing at Borderlands books in San Francisco, and I'm posting this topic because to my knowledge absolutely no one else (EDIT: one other person) is going. If someone is, and is planning to record there, I would like to know, because I'm planning on doing it and it could be rather awkward if someone else does too. What I meant was, if a Mistborn burned both metals, meaning there was no overlap, would there still be a barrier?However, I won't be asking my first question given the info in that link, seeing as it was rather exhaustively answered.

So I'm going to the SFO signing, and I'm planning on asking this: If a Mistborn burned both cadmium and bendalloy, 1) would the bubbles default to being the same size, and 2) if the Mistborn made them the same size, would there still be a barrier between the inside and the outside of the bubble? I read through the post up top and I don't think anything has been said on the subject, but I'd just like to make sure.

I'm going to the SFO signing. I plan to ask: 1. If you flare cadmium or bendalloy, does the size of the bubble or the ratio of time inside and outside the bubble change? 2. We know that if a mistborn burns both of those metals, they cancel each other out. But will there still be a barrier between the inside and outside of the bubble? I have about 15 more, but those are the ones I chose. The first might have been answered, though.

They're clear, yeah.There are a few harps that don't have those red and blue strings (itsy bitsy 8-string ones and some wirestrung ones), so there are also some form of the color on the levers of the C and F strings (mine have painted dots, but my teacher has stick-on jewel hearts).

If you look closer at most harps, some of the strings are red or blue. Red ones are C's, blue are F's.

I play a lot of things. Most of it is Celtic, classical, or Christmas, but here are some you would actually recognize: Let it Go (work in progress), Phantom of the Opera medley, Sound of Music medley, Under the Sea, Pachelbel's Canon in D, and Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring (which I was forced to learn in order to play at a wedding). It's not that hard, really. It's like the white keys on a piano turned sideways, only prettier. I don't have a pedal harp, which is what you see in orchestras. They're really big and heavy and harder to play, because you make strings sharp or flat using pedals. I have a lever/Celtic harp, which is smaller. You can only sharp notes, with little levers at the top of each string. Its name is Lulu (I did not name it), and it's cool because the previous owner put in lights (so I can see my music) and a place where I can plug in amps or tuners. That might have been a bit more than was necessary, but I talk about my harp a lot, so I just gave you the spiel. Sorry. Anyway, that's my harp. Yay.

Perhaps not. But... It could be that each season on Sel is 80 days, making it only around 320 days instead of 365. Our seasons are only ten days longer than that, after all. That could work.

Maybe it was Ligtweaver for a while, but the working title was more Book of Endless Pages.

Do they have slings on Roshar (outside Shinovar)? If so, what do they make them out of? Are there cattle in Shinovar (or outside it, I suppose)?
