  1. It was my understanding that they didn't actually know whether the highstorm was continual or constantly reforming.
  2. There is only one sequel currently planned for Warbreaker, actually. Not two.
  3. Welcome to the 17th Shard! Which of his other books have you read? Also, how much do you know about the Cosmere?
  4. Yes, but that is explicitly a different Shard.
  5. Yep. That's a nice collection! As far as I know, you missed Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell, which is part of an anthology, and Mitosis, which is after Steelheart. All of Brandon's free work online, as well as some sample chapters, are available here.
  6. Welcome to the 17th Shard! Which of the noncosmere books have you read?
  7. So you've read all the Cosmere books. All that's left are the Rithmatist, Steelheart, the Emperor's Soul (which is Cosmere, but more of a short story), and the Alcatraz books (which are middle grade, but hilarious). And the short stories, of course, some of which are available online. All of those which are free, as well as some sample chapters, are here.
  8. Welcome! Did you get Words of Radiance yet?
  9. Hm. Do they not use parshmen, then? I assumed the same, but I don't think there's anything that says they don't. I feel that the Shin would have listened when they were contacted about the Everstorm, and Dalinar doesn't mention them. That could mean they don't use parshmen- though the Alethi should have warned them anyway-but not necessarily. I wonder if they even have spanreeds for Shinovar. We'll see, I guess.
  10. Have you read his noncosmere books?
  11. I finished it yesterday morning. Defending Elysium is another good short story available for free. Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell is part of an anothology. It's Cosmere. Mitosis is between Steelheart and Firefight. Also, Emperor's Sould is more of a novella.
  12. What about short stories? There are several available online for free, though some are kind of expensive. And, how much do you know about the Cosmere?
  13. Right. Duh.Now that I actually understand this thread... Interesting. I don't believe there's any confirmation that he stayed around, though. He could have just gone to the Spiritual Realm whenever he wanted, as far as I understand it.
  14. Of course he did. It's not like some random person out there is just going to solve it independently. (It would be really funny if that happened, though).
  15. Welcome to the 17th Shard! I doubt you're the first Taiwanese, but you're probably the first to make it to the 17th Shard. Which of Brandon's books have you read?
  16. Yeah. It seems more like a brain puzzle to me, too. That's an interesting process, though. I'll have to try that.
  17. Lift has all of her powers, I think. EDIT: Also,
  18. WOR spoiler:
  19. Welcome! Which of his books have you read? EDIT: Also, how much do you know about the Cosmere?
  20. Hoid probably didn't 'unbond' the blade from Taln. Courtesy of Talenelat, from the San Diego signing:
  21. I'm pretty sure that Peter said somewhere on here that Hoid is not the author, but he knows who is. It was on this site somewhere.
  22. Wow. How do you manage to make them so long? And make sense at the same time?
  23. It's worth noting that the Ghostbloods are probably not the people who know about the diagram. I think they're a different society.
