It has to do with their Connection to Preservation. Remember that Preservation put a little bit more of himself in humans than Ruin.

I think many of the Heralds are too erratic to be of much help, but hopefully some of them will help the Radiants and share their knowledge.

Nale hasn't really been in a situation where he'd need to summon Plate. He hasn't been in any battles or even gone after anyone that's any kind of a threat. I kind of have a notion that Nale is also rather cowardly at this point, despite his talk, since he never does go after potential surgebinders that might be a threat to him, like Kaladin.

Lift is actually changing. She's growing up physically and mentally. So she's not being "preserved" in that sense. Kelsier is a Cognitive Shadow, so he would have a really hard time leaving Scadrial. Kelsier's also a busybody and a meddler, and can't help but make a big splash. Plus his hatred of nobility, and the strict lighteye/darkeye caste system on Roshar would definitely tick him off. There's no way he would be able to have been on Roshar and not....done things. Visible things. The greater cosmere is still supposed to be mostly in the background for Stormlight. Having a character from another series influencing a (eventually) major character would really mess that up. You'd end up needing to read Mistborn all the way through Secret History to know who this entity is, which is something Brandon does not want to happen yet.

I don't think he manifested a full Shardblade. It sounded to me like he managed to grab a chunk of investiture from the Stormfather and force it to be physical enough to use it as a key.

Parts of it are still available from Brandon's website. I'm not sure which part has it though. I think it's the Chapters 1-3 part.

I think the Sibling wasn't bonded at the time of the Recreance, and that's one of the reasons why they were withdrawing. I think Stormfather was the only godspren bonded, and the reason he survived was because Honor's Cognitive Shadow merged with him, changing him and healing him enough to survive.

Do you mean dead Shardblades or Sprenblades? Because Sprenblades can definitely change size.

According to the Liar of Partinel chapters that have been released, original Hoid was current-Hoid's old master, who died at the beginning of the story, some time before the Shattering. Granted, this isn't canon, but at this time, it seems unlikely that original Hoid was Ado.

I don't think so. The physical representations aren't really their body any more, just a projection. They transcend all three Realms, but their body/power/existence is mostly Spiritual. You'd have to reach there in order to truly damage them.

I don't remember him being out in the mists at all in WoA, is what I'm saying. Neither day nor night. There just wasn't much in the way of day mists yet in WoA.

I don't remember Demoux being exposed to the mists in WoA? They only just started coming during the day at the beginning, and hadn't really encroached too much by the end of the book.

I agree with this. Nightblood thinks you could. But Nightblood also thinks Shashara and others are still alive, and that he totally doesn't suck people's souls. I wouldn't put too much stock into what he thinks is possible

Since synthetic gems would work for holding stormlight, then gems from other planets should work too--taking into account that they might not be as "pure" as Rosharan or synthetic gems. Like how pewter is an alloy that can have varying percentages, but only a specific one will work, and the farther you deviate from that, the less power/more problems you'll get. Can you cite the source of gems being able to refill from any perpendicularity? It makes sense but I can't find it at the moment. I'm pretty sure you can't soulcast *to* another polestone. If that were possible, Diamonds would be worth almost as much as Emeralds, since they would then be able to use Diamonds to make Emeralds, instead of being one of the least valuable. It appears so. I think the Parshendi gemhearts are something different that we don't know much about yet. They don't seem to actually store stormlight so much as store spren. I mean, if they did store stormlight, the humans would be harvesting their bodies for the gemhearts, right? Unknown on the gemhearts/coal, etc, thing. I think they'd be a bit easier, but we won't know until/unless that happens or someone can get Brandon to tell us
