  1. Yeah, he likely could. But we're talking "natural" erosion from the steady passing of the storms, I think?
  2. I don't know. The storm hits every week or so, rather than a steady, constant erosion. I think the constant pressure erodes rock faster than sudden and short blasts.
  3. We're talking millions and billions of years for that to happen though. And the Cosmere storyline takes place over maybe 10,000-20,000 years. So it's not something that any of the Shards or the people are going to need to worry about.
  4. Yes he did. He heard them every time he blinked his eyes, in WoR, when he was perched on top of Urithiru. But I think he's gone far far past Snapping level damage.
  5. Only loosely. Szeth's hearing screams and whispers because he's not quite sane any more, and he can hear a little bit of the Spiritual Realm. The Rhythms are something involving the Spiritual Realm as well, but they're more cosmere-wide. The WoB below implies that anyone, anywhere in the cosmere, would have the same problems if they had done the things Szeth had done.
  6. I don't think the Sibling is Urithiru, but I think they powered it, and was closely connected to it.
  7. I think the Plains have been Shattered so long that "uniting" them would be really difficult. Also, I can't think of a really good motive for him wanting to do so.
  8. That's meant to represent Wit/Hoid.
  9. Sorry, but Kelsier is going to feature in Era 3, and also hasn't even figured out a way to get off of Scadrian space, so he definitely isn't a Shard. And as others have stated, Survival is not a Shard. There is a Shard that wants to survive, but survival is only tangentially related to its intent. Scadrial didn't even exist when the Shattering occurred. Ruin and Preservation created Scadrial afterward by themselves. Kelsier being a Shard would be a very bad idea, anyway, since there's no way he would be able to stop himself from meddling and screwing around with things. Have you read Secret History? We get lots of information about him and what he's up to during Era 1, and there's absolutely no hint that he has any kind of Shardic power except for the very specific events that happened therein. It's a fun theory, but sadly, I don't think that it holds water. Supplementary WOBs
  10. The gemstone library is actually not the Stormlight Archive. Also, Urithiru is not a space ship
  11. It appears around them. Remember, in the Starfalls vision, the Radiant's helm kept appearing and disappearing, and Dalinar couldn't see where it was going.
  12. Considering Kelsier's current state, I feel like that would be a really really bad idea for him (Kelsier).
  13. I think Hoid has far too many powers to have any sort of Resonance at this point.
  14. That would be awesome but we'd be looking at a huge cultural change that both the main religion and cultural taboos are vehemently against. Something like interracial marriage back in the 50's (It was still technically illegal in Alabama until the year 2000).
  15. The problem here is that investiture resists investiture. So trying to change a deadeye, made completely of investiture, would be really really hard, and might take more investiture than a stamp is capable of.
  16. According to the Style Guide, those should be corrected. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xTb28Rp_Kkt3iS7tFXAdR8MaRqcKIRar_lJ_qLKVmsU/edit#
  17. I was thinking that it was about Jezrien dying.
  18. Keep reading
  19. M-bot has a bit of a record fragment regarding them, so he/his pilot/the rest of the humans definitely knew about them
  20. When Lharimar looked at the painting, he said he just saw random strokes of red. Not red and white or red and black. I really don't think they're the same painting. I tried to explain above
  21. What did I tell you?
