The Person Below Me

I really can focus on just one thing at a time. So multitasking for me means messing both tasks. TPBM wants to reread all Mistborn before TLM, but has not started their reread yet -

Thanks a lot everyone for those wonderful moments. I really had a blast playing this game. I'm definitely playing again in the future. Not now though, because I'm really busy these days (that's why I almost disappeared for the last cycle or so). But soon, and hopefully doing more RP Edit: Yay 100 posts!- 788 replies

Long Game 90: Undiluted Powers
Throw TheLiving Silverware replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I am a Seeker and have scanned both Cinnamon and Archer. They are exactly what they have said, village coinshot and village lurcher. I have no other useful reads (I read Xino on N1 and got blocked on N2, probably by Stick) Anyway, gonna trust Illwei again on that one, I don’t see why she would lie at this point TUN Mat- 788 replies

Long Game 90: Undiluted Powers
Throw TheLiving Silverware replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, I have reread previous days focusing on Mat, TUN, dannnnex, and Whysper/Conq. My takeaways: -Mat's behaviour is overall... not especially strange but still rubs me the wrong way. He often stays defensive, did some reads list (last one D2) but often tries not to commit too much (that's how I read it at least). -Now that I clear Archer, I have a completely different reading of D4 and the Archer train. It could be read as an elim attempt to kill v!Archer which leads to easy elim win. Which drives my suspicion even higher on TUN who started the train. Whysper also felt a bit suspicious by following on it without even waiting to get more info on the PM conv. dannnnex also followed, then seemingly tried to defend Archivist but I'm not sure how to read that. It could also be genuine surprise at seeing Archivist being in the lead so suddenly. -Whysper both suspected and defended Mat N4... I don't know what it means, but it could be some kind of defending-while-distancing. So yeah, I'm looking at TUN, Whysper, Mat as the remaining elims. dannnnex could be elim too instead of Whysper or Mat but he's less suspicious to me. Anyone willing to go on TUN with me? If not, I'm staying on Mat (to avoid dispersion) but TUN and Whysper look like good candidates for the exe. Or for the shooting.- 788 replies

Long Game 90: Undiluted Powers
Throw TheLiving Silverware replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Rusts, Bookwyrm was village? So we have 3 elims left, maybe 2 with good roles but we would have seen those roles being used by now so 3. I clear Illwei, Cinnamon, Shining and Archer. Which leaves Mat, Whysper, TUN, dannnnex. I lean slightly village on Whysper (mostly because I haven't seen enough from them) but the other three strike me as trying to show they’re here but without actually trying to find the elims. TUN especially has voted only once in 4 days (plus one joke vote on himself D1 and one reiterated Araris vote on D2) but for the sake of non-dispersion Mat. However if TUN or dannnnex gain enough traction in the VC later, I could change my vote.- 788 replies

Long Game 90: Undiluted Powers
Throw TheLiving Silverware replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I too am indeed getting more and more suspicious regarding Archer. I still v read you, but not as strongly as before and it would not need much to make you flip elim in my mind. I would be as interested as anyone else by more details about that PM with Cinnamon I am still set on Bookwyrm for now (who has been pretty inactive recently, but I'm willing to chalk it up to NaNoWriMo). But I could flip on Mat or possibly Archer (still not sure about it) depending on how VC evolves over the next few hours. Edit: here's the current VC Mat (1): Illwei Bookwyrm (2): Dannnnnnex, Silvereye Dannnnnex (2): Archer, Silhouette Archer (1): TUN- 788 replies

Long Game 90: Undiluted Powers
Throw TheLiving Silverware replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hello, this is to inform you I now village read Illwei and Cinnamon. Illwei's late N2 post, that she linked right after my post last night, ruins my entire argument against them, and their claim this day is definitely villagery. For Cinnamon, I am pretty sure that her teammates would have shouted her "don't claim" in the doc. Plus, she would have killed someone N1 if she was an elim. Finally, JNV as a target (for an elim coinshot) is weird because I think an elim would have preferred starting a train on them because they were e!read by several persons. On the other hand, I could see Cinnamon killing someone they expect to be elim. Where does this leave us off? I am pretty sure of Cinnamon, Shining Silhouette, Archer and Illwei. So we have 3-4 elims (likely 4) in the 6 remaining players: Matrim, Whysper, Archivist, TUN, dannnnex, and Bookwyrm. Not much to go off from Whysper/Conquestor so I'll leave them for now. The idea that at least one new player is elim means that either Archivist or Bookwyrm is elim (or possibly both). I am suspicious of both, but more of Bookwyrm for all the reasons I stated D3. Among experienced players, Matrim could very well be teamed with Bookwyrm. TUN voting for himself D1, then the GM D2, could be either village (an elim has much better targets) or elim (looking active without actually trying to solve the problem). No idea on how to read dannnnex now. So as a conclusion... Bookwyrm. Ha! Lots of talk, to get back where I was last turn.- 788 replies

Just ask a Silvereye anything!
Throw TheLiving Silverware replied to Throw TheLiving Silverware's topic in AMAs
I fell into Wheel of Time about two years ago, when it was recommended to me by a friend. After the magnificent Sanderson books, I checked on the internet what else did that guy wrote. I see lots of references to something called the Cosmere, and find a website called Coppermind explaining what it is. I read... way too much spoiler-filled pages trying to understand what's the general plot of that Cosmere series, but I love the concepts I read about. A few weeks after A Memory of Light, I am emptying my city's public library in prevision for an upcoming Covid lockdown. I see, around the Ss, a thin book called Emperor's Soul. I remember it being recommended as the best entry point for the Cosmere, so I take it. Six months later, I was up to date save for White Sand (which I still haven't read) -
Long Game 90: Undiluted Powers
Throw TheLiving Silverware replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I was indeed looking at the thread at EoD, but I didn’t felt I had much more to add to the discussion. And at that moment I was better off with my vote on Bookwyrm than anyone else in the VC. Anyway, reads list time! I don't have the time to reread the threads so I'm going by memory and general feel here Matrim: Honestly not sure; changing their mind at EoD minus 30 seconds feels more villagery to me. Plus, they'd have to be teamed to Silhouette, who (whom?) I read village. So you're sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight village Conquestor: I don't remember seeing them doing much, and they apparently haven't logged since several IRL days. I have no idea of ttheir alignment. You probably won't ever read this, but I hope you're well. Null The Unknown Novel: Voting the GM feels more of a village move to me (wouldn't an elim have better and more eligible targets ?) Sliiiight village Illwei: Trying hard to find the Coinshot, not as much (seemingly) to find the elims... Slight elim. Silhouette: Between your total confusion EoD1, and all your active research, I put you at Extremely strong village. Cinnamon: I don't know how to read the whole "I accidentally killed Stick" thing. Coming and bringing attention like this doesn't feel elim to me... but at the same time painting that big a target on your back isn't village. Mild elim. JNV: A bit similarly to Conquestor, they have only sparsely logged in for days now. Posting long reads list at daytime but not voting for any of your suspects triggers some alarms to me, so Slight elim. Aspiring Archivist: Not very active so not much to go from; kinda gave the flimsy Turtle train some speed after Shadow starting it? Slight elim. dannnnnex: Not much to go from, at least for me.Null Xinoehp: Very close to the fire D1, no one really tried to actively defend you. Strong village Archer: You sound to me just like a villager trying hard to find the elims. Rather strong village. Bookwyrm: I keep flipping back and forth on you; I still don't understand that Wizard thing D2 but on the other hand it's true you were close to be killed more than once and your supposed teammates did not blink. I'll leave you at Deeply confused. Illwei and Cinnamon are probably not teamed imo. Which is contradictory because I read you both as elims, but whatever. Depending on who here sees next sunrise, I'll vote Cinnamon, Archivist, JNV, or Illwei tomorrow. (I will certainly sleep by the time D4 is posted, so don't expect me before 8-12h into the thread)- 788 replies

Long Game 90: Undiluted Powers
Throw TheLiving Silverware replied to Araris Valerian's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Mat (2): Illwei, Shadow Shadow (1): Archer Bookwyrm(1): Silvereye I kept my vote on Stick D2 because her explanations didn't full satisfy me when reading it, and so I still considered her more suspicious than most other players in the game. And certainly much more suspicious than Turtle (the only other candidate to exe by EoD). I feel a bit stupid now Also, am I really the only one who finds suspicious this D2 interaction between the late Wizard and Bookwyrm? Why would an elim feel the need to check if someone is instructed in the elim doc? The only way for it to make sense, in my opinion, is an attempt at distancing between two elims. If anyone has another interpretation of those messages, feel free to share it.- 788 replies
