Ah, but I wasn't trying to have even a momentary win. I have lost nothing, because I expected nothing. So, in the end, since I was not desiring a win and was not disappointed... I win. Even if I lose in the colloquial sense, I will win in the end.

In the first quote, it should be "its", not "it's". And in the D&C one, it says "daughers" instead of "daughters." That's it, as far as I can tell.
