That is quite possible. Now I’m imagining the super nerds of the LotRs being surprised by the fact that learning to speak elvish actually paid off.

Personally I think that Gran Gran went to the Kitsen. Also, I like the idea about Jorgen with the Mindblades. But honestly I have no idea what is going to be happening.

I think we all do. -
No. Just no. Cobb is a crotchety old man, and I don’t think Ironsides is coming up again. As for Brade, that wouldn’t be something that could happen in a novella.

Dragon. Hands down. The cool type that flys and shoots fire. Not the weird ones that look like giant snakes with legs. What type of non-mythical creature would you be?

So this thread is for people to talk about moments they really like from Sanderson’s books that they feel like don’t get talked about much. It can be whatever you like from a cool fight scene, but some funny banter, to a moment of random world building that isn’t necessary but is just really fun. So really it can be anything, but don’t make it something like, You cannot have my pain, because that moment definitely gets enough love (It definitely deserves it) but it gets enough already so you talk about something you haven’t heard anyone else mention I really just made this thread because I was re-reading Alcatraz and wanted to tell you how much I love the chapter from The Shattered Lens that is only dialogue. It’s really funny, and I think people need to know about it.

I feel like the difference between necessary and unnecessary filler is really based off of personal preference. What one person thinks is unneeded and should have been removed from the book might be someone’s favorite part. -
I'm assuming here that it's going to be someone from skyward flight, because that's what these novellas are going to be about, and Jorgen, FM, and Arturo are already taken. I don't think T-stall, Catnip, or Sadie are important enough. (I really want to get more of them, but that's one book to establish a character, and make them fall in love is kinda weird.) So it's probably Nedd or Quirk. (I actually don't remeber how her name is spelled and I call her Kim in my head, but no one else does that, so.... I'm not looking up how it's spelled) Or, it could just be Jorgen mooning about Spensa. On another note, I'm now imaging Catnip and T-Stall as twins because Alanik can't tell them apart. Plus they argue like they're siblings.

Personally, I really like this. As long as it's not overused it can be interesting and if feel like you can slip in fun worldbuilding details that are cool, but have absolutely no bearing on the story, and I like those kinds of details. -

Well, I mean, yeah, my situation is kinda similar, I just got on somehow during school and now I can't leave. TPBM has to get books taken away during school because they read when they are supposed to be doing work. -
I just want evershore.

I thought that it was called Detrius because of the space junk orbiting the planet. (Okay, not space junk, ruins of the planetary shield. Same difference.)

There are a lot of good Kelsier ones. Like when he talks about smiling, and hope. But honestly I would do “Aim for the sun, that way if you miss you probably won’t hit someone you know.” (That’s not the exact quote, but it’s not that hard to find.)

*Styx immediately begins to play in head* If you know the song I’m talking about, without having to google it, you have great taste in music.
