  1. Hey, everyone who’s ever done that BYU Writing camp thing- when is that this year? Can you link the page of it or something?

There’s a small chance I could do that or something like that this summer depending on… a lot of things but it could happen

hey i recognize some of those places from when i went to efy there

  2. I really really doubt this is Alcatraz :P. Would be wild if it was though.
  3. Now I want a Cognitive realm Brandon version of Murder on the Orient Express
  4. That certainly doesn't help :P. +1 e/e credence Definitely tunneling, I should stop that
  5. Why do I hate the Ash countertrain after explicitly saying that I read Ash/Striker as potentially e/e xD
  6. I assume one of these Archers is Ash But yeah, I don’t want to vote Ash over Striker because e!Striker -> e!Ash much more than vice versa imo (even if it’s not a strong connection it’s stronger than the other way). I don’t consider my point on Ash as preflipping Striker since e!Ash could conceivably do the same thing in the case of v!Striker (or. You know. v!Ash.) And since I suspect Striker outside of this entirely I wasn’t ever considering moving my vote. If Striker does flip elim I’ll look at Ash more but it’s certainly not a situation where I snap vote.
  7. Yes, but if that assumption was strong then I’d be voting you. It’s more of a possibility or a way to read your posts at the end of pg3 (can’t link, on mobile sorry) but it has to do with the way you started pushing Archer a lot more once Striker became a viable option.
  8. …11am? I think? Yes :D. No pocket, promise.
  9. I realize this is NAI but I still read it village. This is exactly the kind of sentence that makes me want to Bad vibes from this, particularly the middle paragraph. I think it'll probably be less coordinated than you think for the elims either way, like they'll just do whatever they would do regardless. Think about the BT, we didn't strategize on how many bid votes to make collectively, just did whatever we wanted to individually. I imagine this will be similar. Starting out with this is a good look for you I think, since while elim in the LG you didn't really do analysis or post thoughts iirc. The intent of that post was to say that I ship Shallan/Adolin, btw. The last part was added as an afterthought. My in-thread red-colored vote is on Striker, but other options for me would be Ash or Archer, in that order. Ash I think is much more tied to Striker than to Archer, and in a way that looks e/e to me. I don't think that's preflipping Striker cause the read I'm getting is that Ash's defense seems like he knows Striker's alignment one way or another... it's hard to explain. I want to ISO Ash the most out of everybody right now, it'll hopefully make that more clear to me :P. What I can say is that in all of Ash's recent village games I read him village immediately, and that isn't happening right now. That by itself isn't a reason to vote, imo, but I don't think it's nothing either. I'm not going to vote Archer nor do I necessarily suspect him but I think his exe would be better than a lot of other people's. You can assume I'm voting Striker today. I share your read, but I also want to note that Striker said essentially the same thing that I said and you should be wary of a tunnel
  10. Maill was after I typed that sentence :P. But also not a multiquote. I don't really remember Archer making a lot of D1 plans as elim, which I think is why I agree with him more when he's elim The other part of my v lean was my gut disagreement with his takes and my history of disagreeing with v!Archer and agreeing with e!Archer, but that's an untrustworthy read in general so it's just a v lean as opposed to a v read.
  11. This reeks of fabrication to me, because that's not how I think that went down at all. I wasn't aggressive for either side because I'm kinda 'eh' for both voting arguments so the back off wasn't a back off at all. I'm curious where you got 'back off' from Me disagreeing with Archer about hiding votes the whole game Me realizing that Archer wasn't speaking about the whole game, only C1, and being okay with that (to some extent) Me liking Ash's suggestion as it provides a medium Cause that looks pretty consistent to me To me this take looks like you needed a reason to read me as something and pulled it out of thin air. I get a similar vibe from a lot of the other reads on your list as well. Full reads lists early on come from an elim more often than not, see Hyena from the AG for an example. Hahahahahahahaha Heh This is wrong At least in my case. I don't think self pres/not self pres is a valid technique to catch elims, it certainly isn't when talking about me. I know I'm village and that's the only person I know is village, you better believe I'm self pressing every time I'm in a tie. Not quoting the rest of your post but I think that you're treating this too different from a normal game, it's really not that different imo. Sure, there's the vote mechanic, but I think that most villagers will vote in accordance with their thread votes, and that most elims probably will too cause they blend in that way. Heyo mindmeld ...Forget what I said about being elim in the previous iteration and there being a stacked elim team, I'm thinking of a completely different game :P. Sorry, carry on... I think in this game we should be lenient about lying, because of the voting mechanics and the possibilities they provide. Great, right as I'm about to post this I get ninja'd by both Aman and Kas with a multiquote apiece, hello guys It's different from the recent LG I barely could tell a difference between Hyena and TJ's MR, feel/tone wise. I haven't noticed anything different but I'd say yeah, your prodding of certain people and points feels about the same. Idk why you felt the need to ping four people to confirm something like that but /shrug @Striker this is me :P. Maybe less the 'think it has merit' part but I had the instinctive reaction that I changed when I actually read the post a few times. ^A large part of my v lean of Archer right now is this Striker
  12. A village read for making a point contrary to the way the thread was leaning and sticking to it :P.
  13. I don't have a problem with this idea tbh To a certain extent. At exlo let's not (let's just not get to exlo :D) but D1? Sure. Seems like a happy medium. Players that are paying attention to reads could probably guess between the two which is being voted on, and I like the mindgame that provides for the elims, especially early on. > I also think it's 3:12, but I wouldn't be completely shocked with 4:11. I was elim in the QF that had similar rules to this (though I can't recall if it was identical) and we had far too large of a team but I doubt that'd be repeated. I don't think we should cite anything from that game in relation to what this one might be, since it was like 15 months ago and had a skewed percentage of elims. > Agree with there being no problem with this being a vanilla game. With the upcoming LG that might be nice xD Info is good. Leaning village on Illwei for the above take Leaning village on Archer because I instinctively disagree with his opening point- that happens more often when he's village. When he's elim, I agree with him more. Usually. I want to lean elim on Exp for this because the Archer vote implication seems like a stretch to me, however, I think if Exp wanted an excuse to easy vote Archer he would have picked something else, so more leaning village. Ah yes, Stricker and Striker. Poke voting Maill, or maybe not.
  14. You know what’s infuriating when you’re village? Not knowing anyone else’s stances, or not being able to adequately coordinate an exe. As I’m rereading this I caught the ‘today’ (which I missed when initially replying) and you just posted with an explanation that I like so this isn’t as big of an issue for me anymore :P. I still would rather not because, sure, you can’t expect an elim flip today but why should that stop us from trying?
  15. Note that I ship Adolin with Shallan and no one else :D. Therefore, Lucy the undercover kandra is here in hopes to give Adolin a dog instead of a marriage partner Will be afk for an hour, but I’m here
  16. I thought I remembered the opposite Or at least, when musing about the palindrome, he specifically said 'KoWT'. I think that was in an early episode of his Intentionally Blank podcast with Dan Wells. I think it'd be cool if the T was for 'truth' or a word derived from truth, since it's Szeth's book and will deal (presumably) with how he became Truthless. It makes sense to me that the in-world book would be Shin and be in the flashbacks. As for the other letters, I have no clue, though the O is probably 'of' :P. K being 'knights' is the only word that comes to mind. Does anyone remember at what point we got the title for RoW in relation to its release date? Edit: It was February 2020, so it looks like it'll be about a year before we get the confirmed title for SA 5. I will note though that we knew Rhythm of War was a possible title well before it was confirmed.
  17. Pretty sure it was MR46. TJ was the neutral, and his engagement was pretty good- but keep in mind that he immediately aligned himself with the village.
  18. Tbh if I rolled No One I'd be tempted to immediately side with one of the factions but my gameplan would probably be to watch and see who looks like they're winning, then go there, mostly ignoring the survival aspect :P. In the first game I created/ran, I had a neutral whose mechanics was to pick either the village or elims to side with (with a deadline of like C3) and they also didn't count for parity for either faction, and this looks similar to that, just without the stipulation that a side has to be chosen. So I think it works as a role, since it worked for my game.
  19. Perhaps a kandra Illwei’s a sentient cup, so why not?
  20. Changing my RP character to Lucy, a Scadrian Labrador who is very lost. I feel like I'll RP more if I do
  21. Even so, ‘Latter-day Saint’ is definitely used (I think in conference, yeah) but another goal is to get rid of the assumption some people have that we worship Mormon (who was a great guy, but not who we worship) and ‘Latter-day Saint’ accomplishes that. ‘Latter-day Saint’ is part of the full name of the church and if that’s what we’re known by, the rest of the name is known as well.
  22. The eyes are cute and the shape of the smile is cute The color of the smile is absolutely not cute though
  23. I still haven't forgot about that smh :P. I'll welcome death if it's given to me but I'm not going anywhere near it myself xD
  24. While elimming, maximum value is not at all Unless you're Archer who Hrovell'd me and the Investigator :|
