  1. My vote didn't have anything to do with thinking you hoarded steel because Steel, fwiw. It was much more this second part, where you haven't done much more than complain and RP You/Fifth/Bip all defending each other in various subtle yet obvious ways is really tripping me out >> I grabbed Tin because it's a useful item to have :P. I haven't used it yet since I want a better chance of actually coming up with something useful. I tried to make that argument but realized there's nothing saying that the elims all went for items and all failed because villagers went for the same items and got unlucky. I doubt that TJ forgot to put in an action, and we've had multiple people claim to have went for something/got it. I do agree that a lot of the elims probably went for items, but that doesn't mean a lot of them got items. It doesn't mean they didn't either though. Do you really think that an elim teammate told Thaid to edit out something out of their post? That's like one of the main rules to SE, no one would have told him to do that. This is quite a weird line, ngl :P. What are those reasons? You seem to have a trend of hopping on whatever bandwagon is currently the largest, saying you have reasons, and not explaining them.
  2. @Fifth Scholar you still should answer my question Placing a pressure vote on Steel for now but I don't really have an idea of where I want to go. Kinda sad the elims went with the steel hoarding, ngl :P. Same amount of people die with both options (disregarding any blocks/survivals, of course) but we have less info now. I'll relook at some C1 things and be back later.
  3. I'm still just looking for a response from Fifth on what that was about :P. My vote was directly in response to his, but yeah. Fair point about lack of pushback, but I think there was more than a non-zero amount (shamelessly stealing that term from Shardcast because it's amazing). I want to go back and relook at it all... if Stick is e I think the Tani train (there was a Tani train, right? :P) was more in response to Stick than the TUA one was. I don't necessarily think the way Fifth went about his vote was all that suspicious to me since it was so obvious but that's just IKYK so /shrug. We get more from exeing Stick than Fifth in that regard anyway but infokills are a no-no if it's just for the info. Tbh I'm getting slightly weird vibes from you but I don't remember your village meta at all having predominantly played with you as elim teammates, so More things to check, I guess.
  4. Kinda forgot that coin flips for items exist, so ignore the point about making a PoE out of those who grabbed items.
  5. Because you're our security officer. I don't need to go full paranoia mode worrying about whoever got it :P.
  6. I ascribe a lower probability to all of the elims grabbing items :P. Dannnex conf afk since he didn't grab an item
  7. RIP me making sure my meme c/p'd in correctly >> I tried to tie it, but even if it had gone through, I had overlooked the fact that Fifth was on Stick prior to switching so it wouldn't have worked anyway. It was a vote at heart so I'm not counting that as a break in my personal philosophy to vote every cycle :P. Speaking of which, @Fifth Scholar, what was that besides adding evidence to my theory that you're e/e with Stick? Yeah, what's with that... I ascribe an extremely low probability to none of the elims grabbing items, so who wants to narrow down the people who grabbed items into a useable PoE? I'm so glad Kas got the Pewter I can't even say
  8. I don't think that's how it works xD I'm suddenly in a tie mood though, someone convince me not to actually try to do it by reminding me that I light v read JNV now
  9. There is no one I want to vote, I've reread the whole thread and nothing has stuck out to me enough to vote. That's never happened before. Have any elims even posted? xD I don't really think TUA should die and Stick has no reason to die. I don't want to start another train because who would I start it on? I'm reading Tani as light village, I liked some of JNV's points and TJ had a good thought about them. I'm not going to vote on myself, but I maybe could be persuaded on steel(dancer)? But maybe I'm just biased. And I'm not going to CC Dannnex on D1. Fifth is probably the vote I'm most comfortable actually casting, but we agreed to be nice today >> If I absolutely had to vote someone right now I... guess it'd be Stick. None of the votes on her have much actual reasoning, but I still don't love how she fished for the Thief. That interaction with Fifth feels off, and maybe it's because it's e/e. I have a personal philosophy to always vote so if nothing else happens (ha) expect mine to end there, a tie between Stick and TUA is somehow better than either of them being exed outright :P. But I'm holding onto my vote for awhile longer.
  10. I feel out of place being called out here when you've only ever quoted an example of TUA doing it, and made this post in response to Thaid Plus, not even giving me a chance to change. But I like my capitalization, thank you very much Maybe I'll just refer to you as 'steel'...
  11. That could work, but it's also kind of dangerous because there's always gonna be rogue players of both alignments. It's probably the best course of action but I do think it'd be fun if everyone went for it and it was literally RNGd between the entire player list :P. I really hope Steel appears during the Day and not the Night xD
  12. Good idea. TUA TJ's vote was to consolidate trains, and now that Thaid's pushed yours over I feel better off of it than on it. I don't really want to exe you based on a rule disagreement and I get a villager vibe overall from this response.
  13. From the SE General Rules & Etiquette Policy: That does make more sense, yes. I think they're about equal as long as villagers actually target other villagers, but that's the trick with Nicrosil. The elims can always go with their teammates, but the nice thing about that is an obvious double negative effect can be decently telling, depending on a few things. There's the benefit of just keeping it out of elim hands, too. About Steel? I thought I said almost the opposite xD I thought you implied that we could get alignments based on who gets/uses Steel ("Anyone except the most trusted person grabbing it would be an instant tell") and I disagreed ("I again don't think we can parse out alignments that way.") but I easily could have misinterpreted you. I don't want to vote JNV, if I wanted to vote JNV I'd be voting JNV :P. If I had never wanted to vote JNV, I wouldn't have. Edit: Based on Thaid's playstyle I cannot justify myself reading that vote as elimmy but man it looks elimmy
  14. I like this point. I was going to say that since I was planning on Gold+Pewter since before the game started (Much less my primary plan now that I know that I misunderstood how Gold works :P) that it’s NAI, but I did only think of it because of the Magestar play so you pointing out that JNV wouldn’t know about that is valid. I will add that JNV has shown themselves to be someone who’s very good at understanding rulesets, but I don’t know if that’s a point for or against their favor :P.
  15. I wasn't crossing threads, that was entirely open-ended, smh I didn't like that my vote was for you doing analysis either, believe me- that's why I made the post encouraging discussion. I only find rules analysis posts suspicious if that's all the analyzer posts, because it makes it looks like they're contributing without actually doing anything, but I don't think that's what you're doing here. I like your reaction to this as well, it could very well be an elim trying to appear willing and villagery but if so it kind of worked because I'm leaning village on it :P. I don't think the question is if Thaid's actually a Hazekiller, it's whether he's elim As it is with all players. Except maybe Kas :P. I'd love it if v!Kas was covering for the real Thief but it doesn't really matter if he is. Like, you're definitely entitled to have your own opinions and maybe this is just a product of you directly opposing me (knowingly) but... no? Like, maybe it forces accountability but all the coordinating that's happened so far has been 'I'm taking x metal' which we would find out tonight anyway. I think it's better to let everyone pick what they want when we can see what they want, because that might reveal something too. Coordinating leaves the door open for the coordinators and closes off that insight we might get, because obviously everyone would comply, and we wouldn't get any info. I don't really think we should coordinate at night either, for what it's worth- but it's much more valuable because we don't get to see the results. I appreciate this post, and even though I lean village on your response to me the second half undoes that a bit. I still don't really like the premise of my vote and will be looking for something better, but it stays for now. There are just no good trains D1, and like you said- you over Bort :P. I kind of disagree with all of these points xD I don't get what you mean about Duralumin being an IKYK- I don't think we can assign alignments based on metal choice for any metal, ever (unless like, there's only one player who takes Nicrosil and then there's two elim kills or something :P) and I do think Duralumin is equally valuable for both teams (maybe more so for the village, since there's the incentive to keep it out of elim hands.) Chromium I think is definitely better for the village in almost every way so I really don't understand that :P. It's hard for me to come up with an elim use for Chromium that'd be worth it over other metals they could get. There isn't Steel to go for, right now. If there's a metal that's an IKYK I think it is Steel because of what you described, but the elims can always go for it in the night. If an elim is relatively trusted, and gets the Steel, they can kill a villager and just go "Oops :)" so I again don't think we can parse out alignments that way. Does it make sense if this TUA post makes me want to unvote JNV? :P. I don't think I can read and react to this TUA post the way I did and keep my vote on JNV over TUA, if that makes sense, but I also don't have a preference between them and don't have enough info to decide. Another random thought I had regarding Fifth- I thought that Fifth voting Stick and asking her to explain her vote was a weird way to react there. I thought it was semi-obvious that Stick was continuing the 'Fifth is always evil, vote him' train, so that question didn't really need to be asked. But we all agreed that Fifth is a non-starter right now, so :P.
  16. I was specifically avoiding calling it that xD It's not the same thing, if the elims go for that option (which I kind of doubt tbh, but this is a completely pointless theorization route) they choose who dies all in one cycle instead of marking them.
  17. Hmm. That is much more annoying than I was hoping for. But no, I guess it's not functionally too different, just with the added possibility of Duralumin/Nicrosil and a late mass-wipeout. It is probably a good idea to grab those metals, but honestly as long as we know who has them I don't care too much. If the elim kill is Duralumined out of nowhere and we know who has the Duralumin, that's a PoE we can definitely work with.
  18. I just took that to mean the elims aren't required to kill. When taken in the way you describe it also implies they can stock up and mass-kill down the road, which doesn't seem right to me. @StrikerEZ? :P. Question I guess specifically being if the steel vials the elims receive function more as a regular elim kill with flavor, or as the other steel vials in the game.
  19. Are... you sure? I've always interpreted it as just a flavor for the elim kill, and not a vial that functions as all other vials do.
  20. :| :P. Dooku whipped his head around at the mention of his old green... friend. He wanted to say something, wanted so badly to disgrace Yoda's name, but no. He couldn't give away that his name was related to anything. "Who's that?" he asked, instead. ~ Ah, ok. Not that it's any less bizarre though.
