Break Tank #: Blades Clash, Duelists Fall My BT game concept. The main problem I see is what to do with a player if their opponent dies via mark. I'm leaning towards them continuing in the game, just no longer having opposition, but welcome suggestions on that and anything else.

"Like birds." Craven said. For the first time, he truly noticed the wings of the airplane. "We're in a giant bird."

I don’t know if you were planning on using that doc to prewrite writeups for during the game, but don’t It’d be a shame if I knew I was dying an hour in advance due to opening that doc instead of the rules one.

Love the Star Wars parody I’ll play as Dooku, a man with a name unrelated to anything.

Craven boarded eagerly, amazed at what he was seeing. Apparently this thing would get them where they wanted to go faster than walking? He didn’t know what to think about that. Craven liked walking.

I too will take a BT slot. It’ll be something along the lines of dividing the players into equal factions (with each faction having a different wincon) but specifically pairing each player against a player from the other faction, so that half the players could win but it won’t necessarily be all of one faction. Haven’t worked out much more than that but this is to show that yes, I do have an idea How often will BTs be run? One after another on its own schedule, like LGs, or with a break in between? Edit: Changed the initial idea a bit. Rules doc is here. Also posting on the AoGC thread. @Elbereth

Anniversary Game 8 / AN11: Back to Beginnings
Mat replied to Elbereth's topic in Sanderson Elimination
It would seem I have less thoughts than I figured I did I put most of them as Swan in the first Aftermath, I guess. Congrats to the other pass winners, and thanks to everyone who voted for Su He appreciates it (as do I). I don't have a clue what I'll run that isn't non-Sanderson, but I'm sure I'll think of something... Oh- @Ashbringer, I was dying as I read the elim doc to see you convinced I was Axl xD I don't know how long that theory held up but I'm glad I can stay somewhat hidden without giving myself away. The anonymity in the game was rather not there at all but it was more than a normal game, so it wasn't a complete fail. I don't have much to say in regard to the Discussion, but on trust groups I think the way it was handled here was pretty good. Better than in the past at least. I am a player who's typically involved in a trust group if I'm not elim, though, so I'm probably not the best person to give them a complete green light Oh, good, that's what I thought but I was slightly worried the reference I made somewhere in the doc to your spectator name from AG7 (Postt) was misplaced. -

xD I guess I'm currently in that post-AG awed buzz after reading @Kasimir's writeup and such. The headspace where I have a whole lot to say but also can articulate none of it :P. But this game was amazing! I think, in retrospect, probably my favorite. Su was an amazing character to play (Praise the Ja!) and I really am sad he died, but I'm glad kel and I could give him a good ending. If there's a way to bring him back somehow, he will return. I'll read the post-mortem and be back later when I'm hopefully more able to articulate myself Praise the Ja! -
I always think this is taken too seriously; I’m definitely in the camp of ‘Kaladin is honorable -> Son of Tanavast’ as just a natural wording that reflects his arc. Not something that Brandon knowingly crafted for a specific side reason, but it is Brandon, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Scribbles down notes for a new blackout game Nah, I still have my blackout LG with a 25 player minimum I need to run somehow :P.

Personally I always play and run games at the same time, but I think my schedule is more flexible than a lot of people's Ninja'd, by you not needing my advice Has it ever been done :eyes: Once, maybe? i believe in u

Ooh, putting players/spectators/PHers into a 'Participants' box is smart. I'll have to do that next time. I'll sign up. I haven't played a Blackout in over a year iirc, just trolled y'all GMing one Playing as Orion, a distinguished older fellow tired of all the upstart youth who think they have what it takes to be Reckoners.

That’s true. I think Archer’s right in that it looked less balanced than it was, a lot of things panned out in very specific ways. Two coordinating elims can pretty much fake anything, even if it does tie them together. I’d be interested to see a rerun for sure, though I still think sprinkling in some vanillas would be a nice addition. But I’m all for the not in the name of chaos if that’s the spirit of the ruleset

Some thoughts- I thought it was fun! Chaotic for sure I will say that it was a bit too easy to mech-clear half the thread, because of how roles are set and how easy it was to prove them. That narrowed the PoE quick and it became point-and-shoot with the few we had left. A lot of the roles were really OP (like me being able to switch away the elim kill, or Striker literally losing the ability to win) and two Edgedancers is... a lot but I guess they never did anything anyway? Since TUA had the Bad Spheres? Idk. Making this game not role-madness and limiting the roles that are put in makes it less chaotic but also fixes both of these problems for the most part. Less OP roles = Less opportunities for OP roles to be used and if there are both vanilla elims and vanilla villagers making up the majority of the player list you can't mass-roleclaim. @Karnatheon you played fantastically, and your help was appreciated. Nice job! @StrikerEZ, sorry you died early. @Illwei and @JNV, it's unfortunate you saw the player list, but at least it wasn't C1, right? :P. Hope you stick around, JNV! I remember seeing in the dead doc someone saying something about not being able to say why Illwei was pulled/something like that because it would hardclear them- I don't think it would, since the elims don't know who the Ghostbloods are, and the Ghostbloods don't know who anyone is, and there's roles, so any alignment has equal grounds for being pulled out for seeing the player list. And to whoever commented on Exp's 30pg rule doc LG- iirc most of those are roles that won't be used, so I wouldn't worry too much about it smh if you're not planning on playing the game don't sign up :P.

Yeah, that’s what I figured, even if I did forget that Karn couldn’t kill Dannnex until now We should note that v!Dannnex can’t kill Jungle because the exe is first in the OoA but that shouldn’t be a problem. Karn should be more than willing to help us considering how much we helped him Also it hasn’t been said yet but @Archer your sacrifice is much appreciated :P.

I do think we’re dealing with v!Dannnex and e!Jungle At least more than vice versa The question is if we should continue with the path we're on or try to switch
