  1. Ah come on, surely you know that e!me doesn’t think things like that through and also doesn’t care too much about wordings like that Tbh I think v!me would be more likely to reword something because it looks elimmy than e!me but that’s a weird piece of self meta from someone who’s bad at self meta, take that with a grain of salt if you take it at all xD I know it wasn’t a knock at my game, and get what you’re saying. I don’t necessarily think there has to be something that makes it be mandatory that it’s blackout, though there probably is.
  2. RP is optional and whenever. It’s in the writeups, and if you die your character will be used in those, but you can introduce your character now, next cycle, or never I’d guess you’ll go for the ‘now’ option, though
  3. Maybe I should be elim reading you though. You know everyone’s alignments, don’t you? The elims are the ones who know everyone’s alignments. Are there neutral roles? The only reason I’m even bothering asking this is because of the ‘factions’ section in the known rules being somewhat definite. And seconded. Watching LG82 was my favorite GM for sure Archer said it was mechanically solvable but clearly the elims could survive attacks too, smh Who’s to say it won’t by next cycle ^Not a claim ~ I see no reason not to vote Dannnex
  4. The elims specifically being Corrupted Epics, instead of just Epics, and the villagers being Reckoner Allies, instead of just Reckoners, does imply village Epics to me. Ninja'd by Exp :P.
  5. I don't see how you can confirm there being no vanillas unless you have access to the player list, or something. You can assume that, but not confirm. Will be very curious to come back to this page post-game and see how many of those IllweiTakes are right xD
  6. I'm aware TJ's the GM, for the record. Think of it as taking an active stance against those voting him. I mean, some of those times were right. I just didn't die. The one where I did was wrong, though. But that logic is incorrect to begin with, there's too many variables and I don't think that's how probability works :P. Ash gets points for his vote imo, and Kas had a reason he explained. Araris gonna Araris. This though, I don't like. Though what's new there? It amazes me how from game to game I can get instantly mass-village read in one, mass-elim read in another, and not change my playstyle at all. I don't think I've consciously changed my playstyle... ever xD Unless you count me trying to not tunnel. But it's weird because from my perspective, I'm village in all these games, and don't see a difference in how I'm playing. Edit: Did you say I'm avoiding talking to anyone? That's... false :P.
  7. Quick Gut Takes: Vil- Stick, TJ, Ash Null (as opposed to no opinion)- Thaidakar, Araris (+) Don't have anyone that feels elimmy right now. Kas and Exp both feel normal to me but I don't think that's necessarily the same thing as village. (Well, in Kas' case, maybe it does :P) Edit: I'm currently switching tabs between this and Algebra
  8. If I had a nickel for every time I was the leading train 2 hours into D1 I'd have like... six nickels. At least. If I had a nickel for every time I've died D1, I'd have one nickel.
  9. Or a tool to gauge a new player's reaction to being voted on. That too. (Which, if they didn't understand what a vote was, didn't really work anyway) Only Kas and I can shuffle, smh. Clearly you don't understand
  10. I meant more like option A, of these. I said he's on an elim streak off of remembering the AG and Tani's game, and those games alone, though they were the most recent two. Part of the reason I noticed it is because I initially voted Szeth in Tani's game for doing something very similar, but I also acknowledged that something he probably just does since my sample section was two games. I don't remember how Gorilla opened either, so. One game. Not the strongest argument, but that's why it wasn't an argument or a vote, just a random thought I posted. I wasn't planning on acting on it. Which of the two is more alarming? xD I can't tell I can see that, yeah Any particular reason, or is that just gut?
  11. It was past Orion's time. But here he was. On duty. Again. He was a big man, the kind that took up a seat and a half on helicopter rides. A look at his expression had told everyone else boarding not to take a nearby chair- clearly, he did not want to be here. But they wanted someone with experience, they said, they wanted someone to lead. Ha. Orion's leading days were over. And if he was being forced to travel to the Calamity-forsaken wasteland of Antarctica, the only leading he would be doing was leading the new recruits out of trouble. He had lost many a friend to overconfidence, and he wasn't about to let anyone go tromping into the snow to hunt epics. Not before they had an idea of what they were up against. But if the fog was any indication, it'd be about standard. It's only an hour or so into C1, no need to rush it :P. A good shuffle squat needs a good foundation, and a good foundation isn't built in an hour.
  12. No, I appreciate the pun. And I'm sure Archer of all people does as well That was me, actually. Kind of want to call this a Szeth elim tell but he's also had a streak going the past few games so it's more likely just a Szeth tell
  13. Ah, that makes more sense. Now I'm only going to read the cycle title that way xD So I'm the only one who asked a singular question that didn't get PAFO'd? Clearly I'm doing it wrong.
  14. What game are you referring to here? As far as I know they only played Tani’s game and were village but I very well could be wrong there
  15. Thaidakar. Hi! Don’t worry, I don’t actually want to kill you. Have you read the rules/etiquette page? RP to come from Orion later but I’m on mobile so I’m not gonna try to write that yet. Excited to see the sorts of things in this game, at least we won’t have to waste some of D1 on distro discussion :P.
  16. Two more games, my MR and QF slots. MR: Tyrian, but role madness. It's just the basic Tyrian rules but I don't know if a role madness version or an MR version has been done before. Taking suggestions for the name of the town; if you leave me to come up with the name it won't be good QF: Threnody with a Shade vengeance mechanic. Yes, I know it makes more sense thematically to have Violation activate for every death, but that seems too hard to balance. Trying out a few percentage based death mechanics, in the inactivity filter and knife.
  17. Can I get my slots marked? LG Location: Yolen (pre-Shattering) Description: Blackout MR Location: Scadrial (Final Empire) Description: Tyrian QF Location: Threnody Description: Shades And my BT from two posts up still needs to be added. Location: Roshar/Warcamps, Description can just be the rules link. Thanks!
  18. Craven looked around nervously, copying the way Martin did his seatbelt and grabbing onto the armrests.
  19. Every vote for ‘no’ should count as a minus one ‘yes’
  20. Homeschooling with online courses gives me access to the Shard at all times... so I'll be active. And will (almost) always be active in every game. For better or for worse.
  21. Craven pulled a face. He didn't like the sound of that.
  22. When I wanted factions equal I was including TDs, so the ideal situation there would be 5–5-5 or 4-4-4 but in a 13 player world the best thing to do would be wait for more players. I’m not sure if 5-5-5 or 5-5-4 would be better, but at that point it doesn’t matter because it depends on how many players there are. If there’s ever a situation with Slayers/Attackers alive and no TDs alive, I’d have the survivors lose and call it there. I think it makes more sense for the Slayer/Attacker to auto-win since the TDs can’t actually win at that point. Yeah, it’s maybe not the ideal length but it’s also a Break Tank so that’s the longest I could go. I don’t necessarily need to run it as a BT but I think the weird mechanics warrant it, and the TD immunity order is just one thing. Plus I just want to run a BT :P.
  23. Thanks! I see the wincons as being personal (For the Attackers and Slayers, anyway.) but I was tentatively thinking of posting a count with each turn, keeping track of how many players have won from their side (Attackers: 2, Slayers: 1, etc) but that wouldn't have any impact on the game and would just be sticking to the setting. I made each faction equal in numbers in the hopes that a situation with no TDs and surviving Slayers/Attackers just wouldn't happen, since I think there's no way for a TD to die without taking 2 others along with them. I haven't thought through if that's actually how that would work though. Yeah, if an Attacker is marked/killed and the opponent Slayer is left alive, they'd still need to kill a TD to win and just wouldn't have anyone else threatening to do it first. No default win, but I didn't want to do a default lose either since that scenario is different from the one where their opponent wins. I think I'll do that. They don't know who's in their faction, no.
