  1. Ill just jump right in, with some major spoilers — the Dawnshards aren’t what they were anymore(confirmed by Honor), and they aren’t weapons(not in the traditional sense). They are Commands(confirmed in dawnshard) on the godly level that can like bond with individuals. They were used to kill Adonalsium(confirmed in Dawnshard) and we know that Hoid’s immortality comes from the remnants of the “weapon” used to kill/shatter Adonalsium(WoB) so if we put all of that together, we get the new(not stated) spoiler, that ... Hoid is bonded to a Dawnshard!!! Or more correctly. Hoid is a Dawnshard!!!! also the Dawnshard are described as “the four primal Commands that created all things” and then were used to “undo” Adonalsium — the four Dawnshards were used to Shatter Ado into 16 Pieces. And each Dawnshard seems to have created four Shards, which gives credence to the “Four Shard grouping” theories more evidence is a mural that depicts a White sun Shattering into four pieces and then each piece shattered into 4 more pieces(16 shards total. 4 from each of the original 4 shards) — The original 4 Shards in the Mural were described at “mostly symmetrical” so maybe this is a small hint that maybe some of the “4 shard groupings” have ever so slightly more investiture than some of the other groups — Rysn got A vibe from looking at the mural. she felt that Adonalsium(she just thought of it as “the sun” in the mural) wasnt angry from being shattered. More words used to describe what Ado felt during his Shattering “Resignation? Confidence? Understanding?” The resignation and confidence part seem(to me) to suggest that Adonalsium was fighting some sort of war(most obvious, is the vessels themselves) and had finally given up, but was still confident to the end.and Understanding of why his enemies did what they did.
  2. Omg the spoilerssss!!!! Way more than i was expecting major Major spoilers
  3. Reading this brought back some memories to when i was first reading the SA XD
  4. The Shin didn’t train with all of the Honorblades, so they didn’t have all of the surges. They were missing one(now two). But i see your point, and i could definitely see the next host for Yelig-nar being A Shin who has trained with the Honorblades. thought the Shin seem to be the ones who remember the most truth about the desolations and Honor and Odium and all that(they probably remember the most, as a people. Even if its not much), and dont know if you’d actually be able to find one who both trained with the Honorblades and will side with the singers(really odium) edit: I totally forgot, you only need 5 Honorblades to have access to all ten surges(which the Shin do have)
  5. Weve seen before that Syl has transformed to look like someone Kaladin had a Connection to(Shallan in WoR After washing ashore) then she just did this one I wonder if she’ll be relevant later on?
  6. Well she doesn’t have her Honorblade and i dont think she’s bonded a Spren(as Nale was the only one “to join his order”), so she wouldnt be capable of that
  7. The Pai in the Interlude is described as “young” while Pailiah is described as “old” could just be a matter of perspective i guess, but i dont think Pai is Pailiah
  8. The problem is that it does flow through Aluminum since it can be used in every metallic art. This is the problem with the Metallic arts. There are these exceptions that don't apply anywhere else. metals glow with the metallic arts because, the metal is the key the the power in the Spiritual realm. And that power is trying to get through the metal, which makes it glow. with Aluminum, your not drawing power from the spiritual realm. It may involve the spiritual realm, but i dont think its drawing power from there, like it would with other metals
  9. I dont think it would. I think Aluminum is like a drain back to the Spiritual Realm, and the metals only glowed because the power in the Spiritual is trying to get through and into the Cognitive/Physical. power isnt trying to get through the Aluminum Like other metals, so it shouldn’t glow. I dont think
  10. Do You really think that Brandon is gonna reveal 6 Shards throughout the course of this 1 Novel. When there is still like 20 more Cosmere books left? And quite a few world we havent seen XD He only meant that by the time RoW is out. All 6 Intents/Shards will be Canonized in his head/Notes. Were not gonna get to actually learn of the remaining 6 for quite some time.
  11. i did think of that, but just chose to believe in the latter XD
  12. the thing that makes me think they're still canon, is that a few years ago Brandon said that Singer Gemhearts are "very similar" to Tamu keks and that "it kind of relates to some stuff in Dragonsteel that I'm not gonna get into."
  13. That was an act of microkinesis, I believe. Near the end of the novel, Topaz does a big blast of healing with his powers and heals like an entire town. It’s literally a “mass effect blast” just probably not how you were imagining XD also the light girl doesn’t lightweave, she literally bends light. Like, she can make herself invisible by bending rays of light around herself. Jerick could like destroy things with his microkinesis while Topaz could only grow things(or something like that) and Ryalla(light power girl) could literally bend light. all of these abilities were pretty different but all called Microkinesis by Topaz also im not sure if they’re still canon but Sho Del are canon so maybe and Brandon mentioned them in a WoB a few years ago. Anyway, Tamu Keks were Sho Del bones(or a specific bone?) that had magical properties, like if you waved it over a candle, you could get the candle to light. The magic came from the dragonsteel inside Sho Del bones and im not sure if thats still canon either, so take that one with a grain of salt heres a WoB where the questioner indirectly asks about Tamu Keks FirstSelector Here's a Dragonsteel question. If I were to wave Leras' knife over a candle, would it light? Brandon Sanderson ...We'll RAFO that. Oathbringer San Francisco signing (Nov. 15, 2017)
  14. Me tooooo Ive been rereading all of the unpublished works and finding WoBs and stuff and have been highlighting anything relevant I want to try and eventually repiece what Brandon had planned for the “Cosmere” at that time, because its like all of these unpublished books, written in the very early 2000s, kinda create their own little Cosmere of its own.(Dragonsteel, Aether, the two Primes) and maybe eventually do a post on here about all these unpublished works and how they would’ve connected at the time and the realmatics of it all or however it would’ve worked brandon said that his plan for for Aether of Night Was for it to to set thousands of years after the events of Dragonsteel. edit: i was just thinking how using Night to power your Amberite is kinda like Compounding, in that you’re using one magical ability to power another. i wonder if brandon drew inspiration from it
  15. Aether was written right before The two Primes, and brandon was experimenting with lots of concepts at the time, so Sha and Lum are bound to be different between the two. And the stuff from Final Empire Prime to be more current. it seems Sha and Lum stared out as just 2 opposing forces in Aether that were part of the very fabric of the universe(Night and Illuminous were the “pure” forms that humans could use) Brandon has said that “Decay became Ruin” then in Final Empire Prime, he made them 2 forces that kinda fed off each other (sha and lum) and have a balance between them seems to be essentially a new force(Lum) “Two forces bind the universe. Sha is change through destruction; Lum is change through growth. Lum feeds off of Sha; Sha feeds off of Lum. And Nan is the balance between them.” And theyre never mentioned in Mistborn prime. Just some random Thoughts i was just thinking, and it makes sense that The Twins(Sons of the Former) would Manipulate Order and Chaos or Sha and Lum as theyre also called(which seem to be two halves of the Formers power.) but they shouldve also had power separate from Order and Chaos. The Former says that they didnt turn to and start to manipulate Order and Chaos until after they has already waged war on each other and had already created the Gol and Shentis Virus(which seem to have been done magically) And the fact that the Former always referred to it as the Twins “manipulating” the power, suggest the power(Order and Chaos) was never really their’s to begin with and could also kinda explain how they could be trapped in them. They hadn’t been using them for that long also after taking a really long break(like 3 months lol) ive picked the book back up with the Intent to really find as many Cosmere connections and transplants/Cannibalizations as possible. And one thing im really just now noticing, is that, Idea of Shards and how everything functioned isn’t actually that far off from what we have today. It would actually be relatively easy to tweak to the book to current Cosmere cannon. which im really hoping happens, just because i love the title “Slaughter and Despair, the Fell Twins” XD
  16. I love Ash’s nonchalance/irritability when discussing things that, while commonplace to her, are completely dumbfounding to others XD Just any Ash scene really scenes like this are what ive been waiting for since ive first read SA
  17. The jewlers comment about the weird voidlight gem being flawless, is clear indication of a trapped spren in there. I dont think it would be an unmade though. Hmm... and i bet its gonna get released when she does her tests on it and itll and maybe come into play when the fused try to attack Urithuru
  18. The Thrill will definitely be back soon. If nazh can get shallans trunk from the bottom of the ocean, surely they can get a Gemstone XD
  19. Brandon said, a few years ago, that he hasnt decided what happens yet, but he thinks they would probably just age really fast, like TLR
  20. The Stormlight Archive is about 10000 years after the Shattering and if it “might” have a few fossils, Doesn’t that imply that Roshar was made not long before the Shattering, relatively speaking. Adonalsium specifically grew Roshar, presumably for some purpose, which i dont think was intended to be fulfilled before the Shattering. it just gets more interesting every week
  21. He said he had to throw out that whole system, which was what was used in Warbreaker. He made a new system(what we just saw) once he discovered more about the nature of the Cosmere and made a new system that im thinking is more Cosmere wide and can apply to many a invested being

    Harmony

Even though they are “one” Shard now, Ruin and Preservation are still there. They are fused/intermingled but Sazed could still take off a piece of pure Preservation or Ruin and do things with that little wilson Are Ruin and Preservation separate in Sazed or are they fully combined together like can he give one of them, or does he have to give both. Brandon Sanderson They are not fully combined. I mean that's not the way this works. He could pull off a piece of one even and make-- stuff like that. That's totally, totally viable. I mean it's basically what happened with the spren. The spren existed before even Honor was destroyed and things like that. Holiday signing (Dec. 12, 2015)
  23. Ive been wanting to say Vax. Either he’s there or in close proximity.
  24. the phrase “currently hanging out on a planet quite near to where you can find a lot of the Aethers.” Is very confusing. Is Brandon saying “he’s on the Aether planet, but i didnt want to name it yet, so ill say “on a planet” and near the Aether’s” or is he saying “Xisis is on planet “a”. And planet “a” is in close proximity to planet “b”(Aethers planet)”
