Yeah, me too. I didn’t really get a “shardy” vibe from that name, but i was being hopeful

In the Arcanum, Khriss mentions “Foil” controlling the Aethers. so that must be another Shard “I think that perhaps Foil, deep within his ocean, would find this information supports my theories over his. And he’d do well to listen to me on this matter if he ever wishes to achieve control over the aethers, as he has insisted is his goal.”

I absolutely did not see the Odium switch coming, especially for Taravangian. this is why i love Brandon. He still finds ways to totally blow our minds when we least expect it

they would most likely lose contact with the rest of the swarm if only part of their hordelings went into another realm. Brandon said the Hordelings left behind would start to act independently, but i dont know if it would be enough to become a sleepless.(probably depends on how many are left behind and if they are already in contact) heres a WoB on the subject Hoiditthroughthegrapevine If a Dysian Aimian had the Elsecaller honorblade, could just a single hordeling transition to the Cognitive Realm? 'Cause I think I've heard that a person couldn't just transition a single part of their body. Brandon Sanderson They could transition a single hordeling, but as it works right now, they would probably lose contact with the host and would become broken-off and no longer part of the hive. It's not truly a hive. But it would be like of your finger got cut off and sent to-- something like that. It would start acting independently. Hoiditthroughthegrapevine So would you have to have the preponderance of the Dysian Aimian transition to the Cognitive Realm? And the ones that stayed in the Physical Realm would be cut off? Brandon Sanderson Yeah. It would be bad for half-and-half to go. Let's say that, one thing that they would love to be able to do is to have a little more versatility there. Let's just say that. Brandon said it was relevant that Ruin/Ati mentioned passion to Vin(In HoA) He also said that there are and aren’t Shards who would talk about Passion(when it’s italicized) in the same way as Odium and Ruin from that connection alone and what we know now, after reading Dawnshard, i feel like Ruin and Odium(though very different) should be in the same category.

Is Nikli that young though? He could just have a different sense of time due to immortality, but it doesn’t feel like it in this case
-
I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work

"One Dawnshard is different from all the rest."
Eternal Khol replied to Crossen's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I was thinking on how maybe the one Dawnshard that “is different from all the rest” could be Hoid’s We know that his inability to cause harm and eat meat came from the Dawnshard he held. it was the same in Dragonsteel, but he could heal people and cause growth similar(amost exactly like)the surge of Progression. maybe 1 Dawnshard is focused on healing and growth and while the other 3 are capable of causing untold mass destruction like on Ashyn? -
He was also know as Binder of Gods. i was thinking maybe he was a Dawnshard on Ashyn and was one of the one who burnt it.

Official Dawnshard Reaction Thread
Eternal Khol replied to Truthless of Shinovar's topic in Stormlight Archive
Oh.... I was under the impression that she was talking about the Siah’s(Horneaters seem to refer to a lot of beings a “gods”). But it makes more sense for it to be spren, literally bound to their word It was the entire “city” all the buildings, the “oathgate control platform” and gemstones were all fake. the entirety of real Akinah is 6 feet under -

In a new WoB. Brandon states that the Sleepless thought that even if someone managed to get into the cavern that held the Dawnshard. They thought it would be impossible for anyone to actually Bond it “for a variety of reasons” i wonder why? is Rysn just special? or is the Dawnshard more functional than previously thought?(Honor implied they were lost, which i took to mean as non functional. Or not fully functional) -

I guess they are some sort of cross breed hordelings, i just thought they couldn’t get that big. i wonder if they are bred with some sort of Roshar sea creatures? Lopen thinks in one of his PoV’s that they would move better in water -

I wonder if they could be Lanceryn? greatshells that lived on Aimia and were said to have gone extinct. but we have counts of extinct Aimian natives still living(chiri chiri) So i wonder if they could still be alive and be bred or trained/controlled by the sleepless for the use of protecting the island from anyone who makes it past their other defenses. seems like something theyd do. or are Lanceryn, larkin?(im not very clear on the terminology) -

Arclo. The one Lift meets in Edgedancer is one of them. I believe we haven’t seen/heads of the other two. Brandon said that if a swarm tries to create two separate bodies in different places, and made them think, it might be enough to split off and become it own personality, permanently. i bet they do it intentionally sometimes though. WoB I don’t believe they are hordelings. in a WoB a few years ago, Brandon said their max size is about “fist sized” also the giant beast had luckspren around them like we seem with other greatshells and such that have bonded them, and i don’t believe the Sleepless bond Luckspren. during that fight, there were mentions of little stormlight sucking cremlings which were obviously the Hordelings that Nikli says were bred for such purpose
