  1. You should be able to @(username) people after you've gotten your post count up. It's a measure against spam. Shallan is a fair bit complicated. My favourite Stormlight character would be Kaladin. Who's your least favourite character, @Callsign Radiant?
  2. Hmm, 1) Yes, formatting usually carries over 2. You can access hide function by using this directly atop the part you want to spoiler: { Hide contents} just remove the curly braces Edit: doesn't seem to work. Use Spoiler within square brackets. 3. You should be able to give rep from the beginning, maybe it's the device? The site functions deteriorate on some devices, I've been told. Though a few profiles are having accessibility issues currently. @Chaos?
  3. Welcome to the Shard, @Callsign Radiant! Who's your favourite character so far?
  4. No problem! Do post the results from the other quizzes, it's kinda fun to know

    Shallan/Veil Cosplay

Luna, tell me you did not cut a hat in half Wait... how would that even manage to sit on your head?...
  6. The Investiture arts are accessed via the Spiritweb and Hoid still has his original Yolish magics, so it's unlikely that his Spiritweb was reset to default at the Shattering. The Shattering did have an effect on the magics of the time, but we don't know much of it
  7. His muscle tone is fine, not every guy needs to be Schwarzenegger or anime level fit.
  8. @Confused, agreed
  9. The Everstorm is permanent in the sense that it's a single storm circling the planet, according to in-world meteorologists like the Stormwardens, as well as other experts like the Veristitalians. The way the Everstorm was predicted and the way the Stormfather talks about it makes it sound like a phenomenon that was "coded in" by Odium or perhaps he just corrupted an existing system. That would make it difficult to "turn off". The importance that was given to its advent in WoR makes me think that it will have future plot relevance beyond just being a part of the backdrop. I don't think it's very likely that it would have been resolved off-screen during a time-skip.
  10. You know those songs that make you feel... a happy ennui, that bring up something that can only be called a memory yet not something you remember actually experiencing, nostalgia for something that never happened

    It's called hauntology

Excuse me while I make a new playlist... oh.. it's been a while since I did that...

Anime songs always seem to almost always have this quality

      As does Kodaline

Listening to You Can be King Again and Warrior, Poet, King makes me feel like I'm listening to a bard

Ooh, there's a new word coined for that feeling: Anemoia

  11. Let's be honest here..... uh... actually, let's not My Perfect State would be a fantasy world full of magic and every modern convenience.. that's totally it, honest
  12. The Coinshot or the Lurcher from the Set who chased and battled Wax?
  13. Cultivation + Odium could be Revenge / Vengeance or Oppression / Imperialism Ambition + Odium could also be Vengeance Odium + Autonomy = Revolution or Rebellion Ambition + Autonomy might also be a good fit for Revolution, could also lead to Anarchy Devotion + Honor = Fanaticism Devotion + Ruin = Nihilism or Self-Destruction Cultivation + Ruin = Natural Selection (at its cruelest) Cultivation + Ambition = Progress/Development Dominion + Odium = Dictatorship Odium + Ruin = Wrath Odium + Preservation = Pettiness / Bitterness / Antagonism / Resentment Preservation + Cultivation = Maintenance Endowment + Ruin = Trickery (like actual Nordic Loki level) or even Cyclical Destruction Honor + Cultivation = Self-Development (I think the Oaths of Surgebinding show this pretty well) Preservation + Ruin = (aside from Harmony and the prophesized Discord) again perhaps Cyclical Destruction or Mutability Honor + Odium = Passion
  14. Allow me to make you rethink that Presenting, His Majesty, the Prince of Arelon: RAODEN! *smug satisfaction*

    Also a possibility... Dang it!
  16. I don't think Heralds, as they are, can be Bonded like this (though, of course they can Bond with spren like anyone else). I think they recreate their bodies in the Physical, so they technically aren't always Cognitive Shadows. They have the Spiritual aspect in their Spiritweb, Connection and Investiture necessary to always turn them into Cognitive Shadows when they are killed.
  17. The idea came from thinking about Cultivation's Intent as she herself talked about it in OB, as well as how Odium presented the same: growing and pruning, transforming and changing. Her Intent, it seems, is growth, directed towards optimal or desired results, much as a gardener does with a garden or evolution does naturally, over a longer period of time. I thought her magic might reflect this to some degree
  18. Shai's room?
  19. I'm tired of spells and swords, I want spells and science
  20. Autonomy wanting autonomous Shards I can understand Hmm, why would the Ire want to revive Devotion and Dominion? They didn't seem to want that in Secret History. If they are behind Trell, they would probably want to take up Preservation as they did before.
  21. Hello and welcome!
  22. About habitable zone & resulting impossibility of ice rings, how vital the moon & resulting stronger tides were to life, how dangerous ring formation could be for any extant life, etc. Yeah, it's not as big a concern in Cosmere settings That's a good observation!
  23. I pretty much based my assumption on the fact that the Fourth had a ring. I just do not associate ringed planets with planets that could harbor life due to the various articles, videos, etc I've read or heard on the subject
